21  Economy / Gambling / Re: FootballCoin - Champions League / Europa League !!! Fantasy Manager predictions on: November 15, 2017, 12:34:56 PM
What do you think about Arsenal vs. Spurs? or Atletico Madrid vs. Real Madrid?

Just my two cents, but I think that Spurs will make easy work of Arsenal. Victory by two-three goals away.

I'd bet on a draw in the Madrid derby.

First contest after this gap is in 10 days.  Embarrassed What should i do this period? I will die certainly...  Angry Sad

We totally understand. No worries. We're getting ready for the upcoming events in FootballCoin.

Plus, don't worry. We will have the World Cup tournament in FootballCoin soon, so we will be able to play tournaments using international teams soon, as well. Grin

Any other thoughts on who'll win the World Cup?  Cheesy

In my optinion Spain will win the World Cup .
Spain can't win, their squad isn't that great
I think either of these 3 teams will win it
Brazil, Germany Italy (even though they are still on play off)
That's my stake

Italy is out mate  Roll Eyes so we're looking forward for Brazil, Germany aaand Spain  Grin Grin

Sad. I always look forward to seeing Italy at the World Cup. Usually, they would struggle through the groups, then maybe go on to win the darn thing.

Oh, well, fingers crossed we'll see Zlatan instead. Now that Sweden has qualified maybe he will reconsider retirement.

International games are on and it's been interesting to see the teams that will go to the World Cup next year.

The value of the players in that competition is bound to increase, in transfer value and, possibly, also in FootballCoin.

What do you think will happen to Ronaldo tonight?

In his last confrontation with Tottenham, he did not make a very nice figure. Kane impressed more in the last match.

So what can we expect now: a comeback from Ronaldo or a very good action from Kane?

Ronaldo is one of the top players in FootballCoin, but Harry Kane has had an amazing season so far.

Just my two cents, but I think Harry Kane (if he's fit to play) will get Tottenham the victory tonight. Ronaldo and the rest of Real's players are great, but I don't think they can be decisive. Spurs should have learned their lessons from the weekend loss to Manchester United.

Today is UCL day and I hope I'll earn some XFC. I just set my team in the game and if I'll win I'll share with you my team!
Wish me luck, 'cause I'm very confident that I chose the right players for my team!

Nice. Any tips? I'm gonna bank on Dries Mertens to manage something special against Manchester City, if they can only break City's incredible possession.

I find this very interesting on an abstract level.
I am interested to see how this further develops and I will be back to check on updates.
Best of luck with your efforts!
27  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin in Economics class? on: October 26, 2017, 11:50:49 AM
I can share my personal experience with you regarding this.
I finished my studies a few years ago, but I remember BTC being brought up in several classes in a good Economics University. I seem to recall, without fault, the teachers having a very negative image of BTC and not believing in its development. Make of that what you will.  Wink
28  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you sell your soul for BTC? on: October 26, 2017, 11:43:08 AM
No way.

Out of curiosity, how much BTC would be involved in this transaction?  Cheesy
29  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Salvation on: October 26, 2017, 11:35:35 AM
I do not want to get into the politics of spirituality. However, I strive to respect each person's belief. And faith and belief are an unbelievably important tool in all areas of life. Any system of thinking tries to make use of this.
30  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If we can educate our kids at home why do we need to send them at school? on: October 26, 2017, 11:33:49 AM
When I have a child I will consider home-schooling. At the same time, I believe that being learning how society works (for better or worse) will be useful to them. Sadly, you cannot shelter your loved ones all the time. It is better than to provide them with care, as well as the tools to adapt
31  Other / Politics & Society / Re: how to break teenage video game addiction on: October 26, 2017, 11:31:53 AM
Hard to break any addiction. But once you start being involved in activities, outside of your home, and enjoy them, you'll develop a need for them.
I can understand how taking refuge into something like video games is appealing to many. I've also had my moments of not being able to leave the house because of this. Smiley) But it's very energy draining and takes you away from your personal goals.
Maybe just a little bit of play, once in a while though  Grin

Don't follow pump and dumps, look at the team, the community support and the progress.

We can't even follow pump & dumps because there's no market yet. I look at the team, they are working even thogh it's slow progress.
The problem is there is no real community support, only few players play this game. They need to find more players.

At some point people are going to realise that there is money to be made from playing this game without having to spend anything (free roll tournaments) and when that happens I think we will see an influx of players.

I hope the developers are forward thinking enough to encourage this trend by offering a high number of free roll tournaments during the first few months of promoting the game. This will lead to more people becoming familiar with the game and increase player retention.

As I've mentioned before, I also think there will be a lot of value in offering a variety of other prizes too for the first few months to get people to sign up. The BTC we invested has increased by almost 300% and I for one would be very happy to see it being spent on Amazon vouchers or even reasonably priced electronic goods and gadgets, either as contest prizes or other viral competitions for signing up to the game.

Very cool feedback. This is something I'm sure will be taken into account.

And there are many ways in which you can turn playing the game, for free, into actual money. Just an example, off the top of my head. Say you purchased a Harry Kane card, at a discount price, when the market was just released. Well, you would have received a really great deal. Kane is performing brilliantly for England and for Spurs in the Premier League. The best teams in the world would like to have him join. Now, if you were to sell your card in the future, you're likely to make a very nice profit.

Or, say you purchase a card of a youngster that is ranked at 3* and he then becomes a breakout star, again, you could make a great profit by simply being a very competent scout.  Grin Grin

Not to mention the fact that you can enter competitions and with free players, you can win XFC, which you will then be able to trade.

There's this quote by David Lee Roth I really like: " Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you a yacht big enough to pull up right alongside it."  Cheesy There ya go...
34  Economy / Gambling / Re: FootballCoin - Champions League / Europa League !!! Fantasy Manager predictions on: October 25, 2017, 02:34:11 PM
I'm very excited about weekend's contests in FootballCoin because I won both points and XFC.

Having Allison from AS Roma as a goalkeeper brought me luck. This game is really cool. I was a little bit skeptical at the beginning, but now I know that winning is possible as long as you have some knowledge about football.
Yea, it's both exciting and fun but as you noticed you need to have some knowledge, if you want to win, of course  Tongue

Yep. Knowledge is key. Overall, the more you know about the game rules and about the player stats will help you win in competitions.
Well done and best of luck in the future!  Wink

Oh, and remember we have a Free Roll tournament for Italy today. I hope you make some good predictions.

Serie A should be interesting today, especially if you can spot some undervalued players.  Cheesy

As for scores tonight, Juventus and Roma look like clear winners. Maybe Chievo can cause upset against Milan.
35  Economy / Gambling / Re: FootballCoin - Champions League / Europa League !!! Fantasy Manager predictions on: October 20, 2017, 10:31:29 AM
I think Man City will win this season because they are very strong  Grin
The champions league is a different kettle of fish from the English premier league, sure they have started very well and are dominating English sides but it is to early to say who will win it. You have the Spanish sides, Juventus, Bayern, PSG all in contention and looking equally as good as city. They will win the group, but let us see who they draw in the group stages before making bold predictions.

Should be interesting. None of the "big money" teams from recent years have managed to do anything tremendous in the Champions League.
But Guardiola's definitely got the kind of squad to make it work this year.
My money is rather on United more than City though, just because the club has more experience with winning important European trophies. They can pace themselves better perhaps.

Great idea for a thread. Hopefully, we can get some cool football talks and maybe the users can use this as a place to share their tips on picking a great team.  Grin
37  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe the news ? on: October 17, 2017, 02:00:28 PM
What I usually do is try to take the information from a few different stories, try and take the spin off of each and average the truth. Does that make any sense?
I can't claim that I have the time to be as informed as I'd like to be about all the news stories I am interested in, but I use this principle to attempt to be as close to the truth as I am able to.

I think a lot of people will be watching the game tonight between Tottenham and Arsenal and choosing players from the teams on the FootballCoin contests.
If you want to have your say about tonight's London derby, we've set up a small poll on Twitter. I know the last choice might be a bit .. controversial Tongue.
