21  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Now that usb sticks are being sold by sidehack here is a new usb hub thread. on: April 19, 2017, 09:11:54 PM
I wanted 2.0 because I was reading one of sidehack posts sayinng 2.0 was the only way to go since there was no advantage to anything else.   Or did I not get the gist of his post...

Got this coming Friday...

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GCQQE42/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It did it again and it is my USB controller being a poop head.  Thanks for the  info and help.
Downside is those are only 2.0 so you can't do real high ocs with them. That's why I opt for some of the superbpag hubs even though they're not the most durable in the world, I clock my compacs to 300 easily with them.

Hi and thanks. It will start up and gind the stick then start hashing...might be 4 seconds or 40 but it says device failure...disabling.

I will try and TS it like you said...i have started up a gridseed with cgminer and it is working fine. I will try your steps.

thank you.

very nice vh!  Is that a new version of cgminer? I cant get the one on the gekko front page  to work.
27  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Now that usb sticks are being sold by sidehack here is a new usb hub thread. on: April 19, 2017, 05:30:42 AM
ahhh...thank you...My 2pac is causing cgminer to fail. It gets the message that GSD 0 has failed disabling...It was working great yesterday. Might this be a hub issue although it works fine with the nano fuiry and it has worked with the 2pac in the past.
28  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: April 19, 2017, 04:10:34 AM
Hey vh...My cgminer wont start all of a sudden so i went to re-download and it still does the same. I also noticed that the latest one does not seem to download all the time correctly...just an fyi.  Most likely an issue on my end but it is a strange coincidence.

Yikes! I was going to spend 100 bucks...those look really really good but cant do 200 right now. Any others around 100 or so you might recommend?

Also thank you for answering so fast.

ATM I have only one 2-pac and a Nano fury. I have 3 more 2-pacs coming. My question is ...I am wanting a hub that will run all 5 at the same time. Any suggestions?

looks like these two

Woot!  I used the commands you had in your code vh...

cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://us.ss.btc.com:1800 -u xxooss.002 -p x --gekko-2pac-freq 200

it set it to 200mhz and it is working @`22ghs

thanks so much for both of your efforts to get me fixed up!

edit   its averaging 21ghs atm and ive seen the real time go to almost 50ghs so I think its working great now

I just finished reading yalls replys and here is where i am... the driver i am using is libusbK (v3.0.7.0)

this is the one that works...ill try the other things...
35  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: April 16, 2017, 05:52:55 AM
I reinstalled the driver, winusb, and it still does not let me pass the --gekko line but will accept the anu line but with no affect.  Seems to be ming ok so maybe I should just leave it alone. Like it said in the faq that default settings were most always better than what ever you change.

Thanks all.

This is what it is detected as

0: GSD 10010657 : COMPAC-2 100.00mhz hw:0 | 12.39Gh/s WV: 149.4/m

the only command line that works is

cgminer.exe  -o stratum+tcp://us.ss.btc.com:1800 -u xxooss.002 -p --anu-freq 200

but the freq from the line above stays at 100.000mhc

the --anu-freq command for a u3  and since it was the only one that worked i thought it was a u3.

What you are doing wrong is assuming it's a U3 when it's very clearly not a U3.

The other thing you're doing wrong is not reading the first post in this thread, which explains everything you're asking about.

Salty much? I did read the first post...many times. You see I am a disabled person who is totally blind in my left eye and only has 20 percent vision in my right one. I posted here because I needed help, what I got from you was an attitude. I am 54 years old and trust me, I have been on my share of forums and know a burned out user/mod/whateveryouare  when I see one.

It is obvious that you need a course in customer service or is this how forum users can expect to be treated?

I could go on about why I might have missed something in the first post , but my health issues are not your problem so I will try the kind advice that Lercker suggested. Thank you Lercker.

I will leave you with this...

Always be kind, always. You never know what someone might be going through.

Hello all and thanks for being here. I am new and have the 2pac USB stick working but I can not for the life of me figure out how to change the clock speed. I have tried a few different command lines but no go.

I am running win7 and like I said , I got the drivers installed and it mining but i need to be able to set the different timings and such so I can mess it all up. Tongue

here is what i tried and its working...

cgminer.exe  -o stratum+tcp://us1.bitminter.com:3333 -u xxooss -p x  --suggest-diff 32

i am assuming this is a u3 so I tried this...

cgminer.exe  -o stratum+tcp://us1.bitminter.com:3333 -u xxooss -p x  --suggest-diff 32 --au3-freq 250

the cmd shell just flashes on real fast and it does not start. I tried this one...

cgminer.exe  -o stratum+tcp://us1.bitminter.com:3333 -u xxooss -p x  --suggest-diff 32 --anu-freq 250

same thing. what am i doing wromg?

thanks
