The prices went even lower than the last years' dip right before the bull market. However, the BCH hard fork with its Hash Wars doesn't seem to bring any clarity or stability to the market.
So the question is following: would the market still go down or not much more and it would make sense to start shopping?
It seems to me too early, how to analyze when the market stops before the next jump, and invest in one or another coin. although as for me the holding does not hurt now, but just don’t take the lower coins prone to big falls. |

This is called speculation and not diversification and your actions can be assessed as a simple hamster. Real investors do not rush to pricing, and take a lot of coins for both holding and day trading.

I think this isn't good on the decentralized part of cryptocurrency. Yes, there are lots of ICOs not on the system but they are from other countries. I hope SEC can see their authority about some jurisdiction on some places. Maybe on US soil, but they must understand that their position has limited powers to impose a threat to cryptocurrency.
Maybe this is not good, but it is at least some real step to reduce the number sponge on the market and increase efficiency for investors. A small but pleasant step, I fully support them. |

Now Bitcoin is at 5100 level, Eth is at 150 level, Crypto Market Cap is around 170 Bil. USD, I know it's frustrating, but if you will look for the charts of the last bull runs, you will find that bull run comes after this period of FUD and Capitulation.
Prices may drop more than these red levels, may stay at these levels, but will never stay like that, it's not a wishthinking, but it's reality, But if you believe in crypto, you know that good news are coming, Bakket, ETF... etc.
Crypto is not a Bubble, nor a ponzi scheme, it's the future guys. Just Hodl and be patient.
Yes, you are right to the accumulation period, but what is accumulated is the unknown bottom of certain coins. With this kind of investment, you can lose more, and if the coin is not the most promoted one, it will not return to the level you expect. So I think it is worthwhile to give the market some time to recover. |

What's going on with ETH?
My theory:
Ripple team and their bankster friends have been buying BTC and ETH during the whole year and are selling at a loss now when it's least expected to maximize the returns on their futures and to pump their XRP in order to take control over crypto land. Because the banks have almost unlimited access to fiat capital they can buy crypto and sell at a loss as long as their XRP and futures are going up. Basically a takeover attempt by the military and banks (the CEO of Ripple is an ex-military and probably still has lots of connections).
Personally I prefer ETH and would never touch XRP.
I do not think that this was done Ripple directionally, maybe there was a slight influence, but not so much. Yes, and his performance seems unlike other coins are still kept in good shape, so there is quite another. |

I see investment as a stable low risk term. I love block chain technology and think that if implimented properly could produce a great efficiency gains and cost reduction. Even with my bias to the technology and my liking of private transactions, all altcoins are illiquid and unstable. They would be better speculation tools, but their lack of liquidity means that when the bubble bursts you could be very rich or very poor.
I like to think that investment as separate from speculation so no I don't currently see any altcoin as an investment opportunity.
This scenario has now occurred and now there is definitely no point in investing, at least until everything is completely restored. |

I have taken part of some ICOs and everytime their token price goes down after the ICO.. why is that so? EDIT: oh, nice.. that was helpful and pretty much what I was looking for.. thanks for sharing Now this trend, almost all coins after entering the stock exchange fall. I think this is not the fault of the project developers, most likely just a bad time chosen to run the projects. |
