What is a good ICO?

An ICO where you are simply not scammed in the end?

or an ICO where all goes smooth but in the end doesn't deliver or has a shit product listed?

or an ICO with an amazing future ahead, that will moon instantly?

Different ICO's with different ways of spotting them I guess .

All sources should be taken with a salt of grain since everybody writing about upcoming ICO's is either getting paid (to shill) or invested in it themselves. It does give a nice idea on what the ICO is about of course, and sometimes if you hear about if early enough you are sitting on a gold mine. But that is definitely not guaranteed. Some ICO's have little to no traction and still do amazing. I remember skipping the $MAN ICO early January and choosing for more known ICO's like Wepower and Beetoken. Right now it feels like a mistake, since $MAN is looking like it is able to go to great heights. Who told me about $MAN? Nobody, just happen to stumble upon it on twitter. No big names were shilling it, no ICO reviews (not that I know of at that time). And why I skipped $MAN? Because of noticed the website was buggy as hell (which they renewed a week after ICO ) and I wasn't impressed by the information on the website. I was able to stock up during recent dips, so I still have as much $MAN I would otherwise have bought at ICO .

Morale to this story, DYOR but in the end all ICO's may be a gamble.....

First you should check the team members specially the CEO if they are legit persons and that their credentials are easily to find in the google. Then you should review their projects and commodities if they are feasible or not that if the masses will really to invest to these projects and finally check the ICO reputations because the good bounty managers will check well the ICO before dealing with them because their reputation is at stake. I hope this will help you in finding good ICO in which your time will not be wasted.

Yeah, that is a good and relevant question. I saw scammy ICOs rasing million of dollars, making all investors rich after hitting exchanges. On the other hand there were a lot of solid projects with great team and vision, that couldn't raise even the softcap, forced to end development. So it depends what are you looking for in crypto space - quick money or investing in projects that could change the future. Personally I choose ICOs that can disrupt real businesses, like cybersecurity, social media, health, etc. And only after extensive research about the team and their experience, adviosors, past products, token distribution and all that info. DYOR is the most important thing here.

I doubt if there is a trusted site that can provide a good ico recommendation. Many rating sites are available and trusted people, but not for me. Because there is no guarantee and the average is business or money. We can also find the best ico, if we want to learn, do research and also actively discuss.

This thread is interesting enough to read and easy to understand. Sometimes feelings can be the determinant of an option.

But don't just blindly invest in every bounty out there. Do your own research and read about project in detail before putting in your hard earned money.

i think you should not put too much trust on Reviewing Sites, they may not accurate because they do all assessments based on the informations they got from the ICOs but they can not find specific detail about the ICO, so ICOs can give them false information to trick you, you should do your own research, of course reading whitepaper and from community is very important, moreover we should search for  informations about the developers and their sites, traffics or year of established.

I don't usually rely on the website that offers genuine and good ICO. I do choose it myself and i check if that ICO or county is true. First you need to look if there is a whitepaper and roadmap, telegram group or channel. You need to see if they have website and see also about the team.

Well I am also checking on ICO bench for further ratings on some ICO that I am checking and would make request to join their bounty, Well in my opinion sites like this are great and a time saver for the ones that didn't have the time in checking and researching some ICO's Because it is still OK if we are the ones making the research and analyzing new ICO, Even though there are sites like ICObench that provided a rating for certain ICO's.

There are lots of threads with the same question as yours mate, if possible, please check first if there is already a threads with the same question as yours to avoid of multiplying the same thread as you did. But to answer your question, just make sure to do a lot of research about the ICO that you'd like to invest in or participate in, you have to take your time on researching to avoid being fooled by those scammers.

Its really hard to detect which is the best ICO and which is not or which is scam...  It widely problem here because a lots of number of ICO emerge now...  But for me the best sign if the ICO youv'e join is truly legit is if there are lots of members who belong to high rank and also check their profile if the are trustworthy and also check their project... And check also their campaign bounty manager if they are truly trustworthy... Choosing the best ICO means success...

It is very good to invest in ico, it is mandatory to lock the currency, and you can't sell it, so as to prevent the loss of faith, and the lock warehouse period will be changed back, haha, this is the investment!

Investing in ICOs or fully functional fresh currencies can be very profitable due to the fact that one is able to get in asset quick and often ahead of other market participants. However picking bad coin can easily lead to complete loss of investment if something goes wrong on development or coin has no long term use and the market looses faith and trust in currency which leads to collapse of value.
