21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Beta is almost here[Updates & Discussion] on: October 10, 2014, 07:57:36 PM
I pretty much agree with everything kodtycoon said.

Anyone wanting to be involved in Nem's future, should be showing an interest now - those that haven't claimed within the month, clearly aren't that bothered imo.

23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Crowdsale has begun[Updates & Discussion] on: September 30, 2014, 09:04:16 PM
Hi   I just attempted to log in here to Bicointalk.org, and had trouble with my password - which I hadn't changed.

Was getting nowhere, so I requested a password change, waited - no email was sent to my registered address.

Finally got in via my 'secret question' to find my email address had been changed to a Russian one!

My password for this site btw is around 16 characters/upper/lower/numbers etc   so should be impossible to guess.

I have now changed my email address back to my original one, and changed my password (another long random one)

My PC is clean, no keyloggers or trojans etc

Given that our Btc.Org accounts are our proof of Nem stake, I am concerned this may happen again.

Advice appreciated

24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PORTCOIN ! NO PRMINE/IPO/ICO ! USB Wallet Device Soon! on: September 14, 2014, 11:06:59 AM

This is disgusting, not only has the dev not fulfilled his promise of developing a viable altcoin, he has also attempted to steal others coins from their wallets via his dodgy software.

T****er!

Come on devs! This is pretty much your last chance to act! You created this, you got people to invest their hard earned $, they deserve better than to have to sit idly by on the sidelines and watch as this coin is dismantled. I lost a bunch of BTC on this, as I know a lot of other people did. Give us the respect of an update at least. I know it looks bad right now, but it can always come back. You've come farther than most coins ever do purely on goodwill. Pay it back.

As the devs have said they're still around, but they have real jobs to attend to so can't always be available.

I am sure we all appreciate this, but just a quick post on here from the devs to update us on their intentions for this coin, shouldn't be too much to ask?

If there is no future for Fractalcoin devs, please have the decency to let us know you have abandoned it - so we can move on.

Yes I agree.

Maybe a developer with the intention of creating a new altcoin, could instead consider taking over, and rejuvenating icoin?

I would also like to know if there is a future with FRAC?

At the moment, it seems as if the developers have lost interest - I hope I am wrong

The fan logo looks like a pair of Y-fronts  Smiley

I like the cube logo though, and the colours are good

It would be good if someone could take over icoin from Capt Hook etc

I still think it has the best name of the altcoins!
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICN] iCoin - On Swisscex, C-Cex, Bittrex exchange on: May 17, 2014, 03:43:23 PM
What a waste, this coin showed such promise.

Seems to me a lot of these new coins go the same way - Developer claims he/she is moving house/broken legs/car accident etc etc

They clearly make their money at the start with the pre-mine, then disappear, stringing us mugs along for a while by drip feeding us with 'exciting announcements' and 'pending updates'

Big shame, I feel especially bad for the genuine people - Captain Hook to name one, who have tried their best   Sad

Seems as if all interest has been lost in this coin.

Developer etc obviously made their money at the beginning, then left.

All the best

Rough story. I found it a bit peculiar that BitsGone (a new user) and ChrisML make the same kind of typos, especially the peculiar "seeying" but also "alot" and "aswell". I'm not saying BitsGone is ChrisML's sockpuppet or anything, and I'm CERTAINLY not accusing him of trolling for donations, even if ChrisML sent him some. I'm saying welcome to BitsGone, and clearly you've found people like yourself here. Good luck getting your money back, but remember: it's just money.

I think you are right, BitsGone and ChrisML are the same person.   Too much of a coincidence two separate people making the same odd typing mistakes imo.

Obviously looking for donations hence his BTC address under his post.

Not happy with this, I thought it was genuine and felt sorry for the OP, now realize he is trying to con us probably

Hi   I really hope MtGox does the right thing by you and others that have their Bitcoins/money tied up with them.

Please don't consider doing anything drastic to yourself, I know you must feel desperate and miserable at the moment, due to this crap situation, but hopefully things will get better for you soon.

Fingers crossed for you and others affected by this.  Take care

I completely agree with the OP, lots of Bitcoin market manipulating going on
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's time for a Bitcoin hodlday... on: February 09, 2014, 10:35:28 AM
A nice light hearted topic, taken apart by people who clearly have no sense of humour.

Some people take themselves far too seriously
