Why have to send a PM, why it is not enough to send a vote in this thread?

Why the other candidate has more advertising (4 images) than the other?

Hi jkoil,

1) We have decided to do it through PM since otherwise our thread will most likely be closed due to creating an incentive for "insubstantial posts".(btt rule).

2) The Fan logo has 4 photos because we have received more photos with it from our designer and think they might give a better idea of what the logo would look like in different contexts. On the other hand we only have one photo with the Cube logo. I would post another 3 if I had them.

Please note that both the Fan and the Cube logo have been created by the same designer who works for NEM with the dev team.

WOW You should not be in charge of logo because there are three version of the cube logo that many people know. How could you not know that ?

Alt. coin scene has become a turf war that different factions try to slander and piss the others off. If it continues this way, I would stick with bitcoin instead. You would do well to stand above these scenes.

The link in xtester's post is correct, but it is kodtycoon not kodytcoon. I already contacted xtester about it.

What should it be?

Make it to: kodtycoon, rockethead. Otherwise it's hard to tell if it's been cc'ed. So when message is sent you should see both mine and rockethead name at the top of the message under "to".

Il count the ones that only say. Cos they were obviosly sent to both us but I can't count the ones that only say kodtycoon.

Il go through them at a later stage, and notify everyone who's messages came up as only kodtycoon(not counted votes), up mail confirmed to all that are counted. This won't be till Tuesday so I advise everyone just check who they have included under "to".

 It is not a tu quoque when you are letting people know that a coin's distribution was severely flawed.  It's also no forbidden discussion to discuss flaws in other coins and how they relate to NEM.  That's not pissing on a coin.  Pissing on a coin is doing something like running around the internet to label it Communist or a Scam.    

NxT people come on the NEM thread to troll (almost daily)
They go to all corners of the internet to slander NEM, like on that overstock wiki.

Probably the only time when the NxT community was behaved was when it was 2 cents in April.

I've 1)added some more images with the cube logo(forgot about those before), 2)corrected kodtycoon's name and 3)updated the procedure: you should just send the PM to both rockethead and kodtycoon with the chosen option.

Logo vote update

As some of you may have noticed we have closed the voting poll. It has become obvious to us, especially during the last day, that our vote was compromised and could not be taken serious. However, during the process we have learned that there are 2 important contenders which should b taken into consideration as NEM official logo options(the fan logo and the cube logo).

This is why we are opening a new official vote today.

Voting rules:

• voting starts today and will last for 5 days
• voting will only have 2 options: 1)the fan logo and 2)the cube logo
• in order to prevent compromising the vote again, voting will be done on bitcointalk via PM
• voting will only be considered valid if you are a NEM stakeholder and appear on the final stakeholder list

Voting procedure:

Every voting stakeholder will have to send a PM to both rockethead and kodtycoon specifying the chosen option(i.e. "option 1" or "option 2"). Once the voting period is over, results will be made public and we will conclude by announcing the official NEM logo.

As a reminder here are the 2 voting options:

1. The Fan Logo (option 1)

Originally the logo wasn't going to be picked until the blockchain was released. But now the devs decided to pick a logo via vote. The logo picking has really just been going on for a couple of weeks, but yes arguing over which one is better has gone on for many months (if not more than 4!). I think that's another reason for picking the logo; if we have a set logo, other issues can be discussed more clearly.
