There is a minor typo in  https://github.com/sumoprojects/sumokoin/blob/master/CMakeLists.txt:

if(ANDROID AND NOT BUILD_GUI_DEPS STREQUAL "ON" OR IOS)
#From Android 5: "only position independent executables (PIE) are
supported"

The text in quotes is supposed to be on one line, then make' will work.
I suggest that we build up some test env where recent pull requests can be automatically tested before pushing them to master.
Master tree should be 100% bulletproof and tested all the time.

On OpenSUSE the build is still failing for me with:
/src/wallet/wallet2.h:475:38: note:   no known conversion for argument 7 from ‘uint32_t {aka unsigned int}’ to ‘std::set<unsigned int>’

The typo will be immediately corrected. Please open issues on git for such subjects in order to receive immediate attention

I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04.03 yesterday after I installed my RX Vega 64 FE and downloaded the binary wallet from the first page so I could reinstall it.

Shows "Sumokoin_Wallet-v0.0.2-Linux-x64.tar.gz", checked the hash on it and it matches whats posted also on the first page but after I installed it last night and clicked the about button it shows this:

Sumokoin GUI Wallet v.0.0.1

The wallet does have the ghost address tab in the receive section so I guess the about tab information was not updated.

Yeap the about tab was not updated and still shows a past version serial not a big deal but it will be corrected. They rushed to meet the deadline the last few days and neglected to type the correct version on the tab. Wallet however and ghost addresses working perfectly and without issues ( besides the fact that it is the most beautiful and easy to use GUI wallet in crypto ). Insignificant price to pay for delivering exactly on promised time imho

Our community has build a very nice vanity address generator that can produce up to 4 preselected digits at an average desktop PC in a matter of minutes.
(5 and above needs time and lots of cpu power)

Download the binaries from here
https://www.dropbox.com/s/s9xhgmcz9q2nevw/vanity-64?dl=0

Use:
./vanity (vanityword)

eg ./vanity CASH will create an address like Sumoo0CASH4cthR4.....
./vanity RICH will give something like Sumoo3RICH2dfe5.....

Along with the address all keys will be produced in order to restore into a functional wallet. No seed words option yet.

Note that the code is still in BETA and has not be thoroughly tested so perform a couple of very small transactions to your newly generated address before deciding to use it in full.

Source code will be available on git (https://github.com/pwhelan) within the day

All credit goes to Phillip Whelan (Mad Jester)

I've now made it possible to choose the leading number in the address:
Code:
user$ ./bin/vanity --numeral=5 LoL
[*] Threads: 12 Cores: 12
[*] Searching for address starting with Sumoo5LoL
[*] Speed: 109200.000000 keys/s
[!] Address: Sumoo5LoL8PA2SrpXVpRZuY1m7wh2ncWXdo18yRWbTWE3oR1o2pqzuAX1iNHKVkXa9aaSEdzDmWHYVF5JvLrpppWTyMnwzCPGnM
[!] SpendKey: 97541287226b0b167a75e8c071cc701c92a967d1b9c12b249e97ec05e51baa02 ViewKey: 38b0b8123a3f87a2cd365e105ff6ae0829497d7217fdd1a0116e4dc19041db00

Nice one Phillip!

Wow! A wannabe cheerleader falling apart at the seams even further with his emotional meltdown and desperately resorting to a juvenile, corny and very lame pronoun-switch ploy...continuing to be delusional and insist that Sumo is superior to Monero by posting a fancy schmancy, biased/slanted and self-serving comparison infographic that's mostly pseudo facts not to mention the omission of points that don't favor Sumo. This comparison fantasy is so laughable that it is like someone with only a pocket Swiss army knife picking a firefight with a DEVGRU team that is equipped to the hilt.

If this person represents as the vanguard of the Sumo project, then good luck to us all. We would need it very badly. I know the project can do a lot better than this dude.

I wasnt talking about you dude. Was it the feminine pronoun that got you confused?
I wish you good luck as well and Happy New Year!

Guys could you please stop replying to her? She is just a Monero shilling attention whore who comes here whenever there is activity to kill her time.
She has no idea what she is talking about and can be seen by the mumblings and the fancy words she is trying to stick together to pass herself as "educated". Let her be Smiley

Please also note that a beta version of Sumokoin's mobile wallet for android (approved by official developers) has also been released.
Default node on wallet.sumokoin.ch:4444 but you can change it to any remote node or one that runs locally.
All its features are operational but please use at your own risk and with small transactions at the beginning cause it may contain undetected bugs and must be thoroughly tested before uploading to app store.
If you discover any bugs please create an issue on wallet's git repo.

This level of confidentially may attract unnecessary number of illegal goods retailers into the project.

Like physical money (fiat) attract illegal goods retailers, that's the downside of a fungible token carrying a certain value

The target address is one character shorter than it should be and starts with Subo instead of Sumo. However, wallet-cli accepted this transaction. It is found in the block explorer.

Ok, maybe not a typo. Seems that this is a subaddress. Does Cryptopia use this stuff for deposits? All the other deposits I did went to a standard address. And they arrived Wink. But this one not. It´s also interesting that according to the facebook site, subaddresses were implemented in version 2.0 "Sapporo". I did this transaction on the morning of Dec 25 with version "Hokkaido".

Cryptopia to the best of my knowledge doesnot support subaddresses as they have not upgraded their wallet yet.
Open a support ticket with them and explain your issue. If you are lucky they will either fix or compensate you

I want to ask about the Easy miner, I have been using this for 3 days now and nothing appear in wallet, it just doesn't make any sense to me. I want to ask for how the Easy miner actually reward those running it

Check the pool you have directed your easyminer to mine at. Have you set a pool address and your Sumokoin address on easy miner? Is there any pending balance of yours on the pool you are mining? What is the payment threshold of the pool you are mining at? There are many things you should check first

Sumo is at 2.55$ again. The wall broke  Cheesy
Another Verge? Cheesy

Are you really comparing a pump coin with highly debatable privacy and anonymity features with Sumokoin?

Actually, if any my coin makes a 30x like 10 days i would love it regardless it is shit or the best coin on the market.

But in value yes i don't think verge is comparable with sumokoin.

I was trying to make a point regarding the difference in potential and technology between the two coins, that's all  Smiley

For everyone new to Sumokoin who do not want to wait for the chain to be downloaded from their local daemon (either using binaries or GUI wallet) you can download the blockchain from here
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/y02m43ms03g5rjl/AAAZHv0y2kIQUhGFU-01WGqea?dl=0
(Check it with your antivirus for peace of mind, I guarantee that it is safe)
Instructions on how to import it can be found here

I'm trying to get the wallet for this coin. I'm currently syncing it to the block chain. The problem is that it says its 167 days behind. The tutorial I read said it should only take several hours or at the most, several days. Can someone please tell me a way to get this wallet quicker? Or maybe a different wallet? I'm going to have to sell this coin if I can't change this. Thank you.

Download the Sapporo wallet binaries from the ann post (first post on this thread)
Unzip them in a folder
Download the blockchain from here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/y02m43ms03g5rjl/AADD__m__9TopkpSG2zbXGjUa/RAW%20BLOCK%20Export/blockchain.raw?dl=0
(It doesnot contain anything that may harm your pc, scan it with your antivirus for peace of mind)
Now paste the chain's raw file you just downloaded into the folder you unzipped the binaries.
Go to that folder hold shift pressed and right clik into it, at the popup menu select open command window here (For windows 10 it might say open Power Shell window here and the only difference is that when you to run an exe file you should type ./ before the name of the exe file)
Now that you have your command prompt open and you are into that folder type:
sumo-blockchain-import --verify 0
Wait a couple of minutes for the chain to be imported (you may use a --verify 1 flag to verify the chain but many people has imported and run into no problems so its not corrupted and there is no need to waste time)
When its done kill the cmd window
Now run the GUI wallet let it catch up and download the last remaining blocks that were emitted after the chain image you donwloaded was exported.
You are ready!
(I can not create a more detailed guide for avoiding waiting for the entire chain to be downloaded through your daemon, If you still fail then yeah sell your coins Smiley )

Well, I'm not the one displaying emotional outburst/breakdown as a response to mere facts. Didn't I mention fanatics/zealots? There you have it.

Yes agreed visdude Sumokoin has 10% premine and Monero has way more developers than the 4 that Sumokoin has.
Please disprove the facts about Sumokoin's higher levels of anonymity, privacy and security. If you cannot do it in a couple of sentences and you indeed need help you can refer to stoffu or fluffy to help you.

(By the way yes i am a fanatic and a zealot cause I strongly believe in the coin, I am following it from the first day, I am acquainted with the devs and I belong to the official PR team appointed by the devs with access to the coin's official media. If you think me or the rest of the team are not doing a good job on promoting the coin's public awareness I am sorry for letting you down)

EDIT: let me put it in bold

Community has just created a Sumokoin vs XMR comparison chart.
It will only grow bigger as Sumokoin development progress.

I hope the links above can answer your question.
Have a nice day. Smiley

The comparison infographic is slanted and self-serving. Don't get me wrong and start spurting out discombobulated emotional reaction like the usual suspects on here (a.k.a. the self-appointed cheerleaders). I do own some Sumo just like I own some of the established/top cryptos (been in this racket a while). I do want it to succeed. I just don't like cheerleaders, most especially the Kool-Aid-drinking variety (read: fanatics/zealots). I'm concerned that they'll eventually ruin/tarnish the reputation of this coin and turn people off.

I am gonna burst into tears.... I can quote 30 posts of yours calling Sumo a scam and you now declare that you care for the coin and you own some as well. You are mental, absolutely, pathologicaly mental (most probably a liar as well since I dont believe you have any Sumo)

EDIT: By the way you told us a thousand times about the premine, disprove now the facts that Sumo is more anonymous and secure than Monero if you can
