What happens when eth go to POS, monero will be not miningable on cpu and threadripper will cost $200 ?
why do you think monero or another cryptonote algo currencies should not be CPU-friendly anymore? |

The current pump of the Sumo price attracted a lot of miners. The current global hashrate increased to 6.42 MH/sec!  It is not a sad news it is happy news. More people mining, more hard to get sumos which bring more value per token. Also bigger awareness. |

More people mining, more hard to get sumos which bring more value per token. Also bigger awareness. Yeah, I know that it's only improving the value of the coin. But it's not great if you try to mine yourself and are already having bad luck with finding blocks. This means it will only get harder to find a block. |

I never mine so didn't think in a miner point of view. Still, you are mining it, you should hold some good amount of it too. And even your mining income decrease, your holdings will get a rise. |

i love looking at different coin emission experiments.
this one is very interesting. initially it starts low then raises for a period of time.
think of a gold rush. a few people initially find gold. eventually output increases as more and more follow. eventually the area begins to be mined out and emission then decrease. so, yes as nethash increases we get less coins but there will be block increases for a period of time instead of halvings.
