201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 31, 2019, 09:11:46 PM
Arsenal - Tottenham
Except the match against Liverpool, Arsenal have had a good performance in the current season. (In my opinion, Arsenal could have even finished the match against Liverpool with a draw, if they were a bit lucky)
Hector Bellerin, Kieran Tierney and Rob Holding cannot play against Tottenham. These players injuries make the match a bit difficult for Arsenal. But I think they will manage to have a good performance.
Tottenham performance against Newcastle was really awful however they played well against Manchester United. Given Ryan Sessegnon, Kyle Walker-Peters, Tanguy Ndombele have already missed the match, I don't expect Tottenham to be able to have a good performance after the awful match against Newcastle. The match will become more difficult for Tottenham if Dele Alli misses the match too.
My prediction is 3-1 Arsenal.
202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the government definition of Bitcoin, influence addoption. on: August 31, 2019, 08:25:05 PM
So, we can say that the Government doesn't really yet understand what Bitcoin is or they just hate Bitcoin?
Because even they want to protect their own reserve currencies, what if they will still collect taxes for those using Bitcoin as payment on some businesses that are connected or licensed with the government?
What I really see now on Bitcoin is we are still at an early age especially if we connect the government on Bitcoin.
Governments know what bitcoin is and this is why they don't like bitcoin to be used as a payment system. They don't want to be unable to trace the transactions people made.
It's not easy to get taxes from those who use bitcoin, as bitcoin transactions can be easily made anonymous. Governments cannot easily trace transactions.
Governments cannot stop bitcoin easily. They know they cannot stop a decentralized system. So, they try to regulate it. Government also are trying to prevent Bitcoin from becoming a payment system. They know they cannot prevent people holding bitcoin.  So, they have already accepted bitcoin as an investment. They don't want bitcoin to be a payment system too.
(I know how bitcoin is treated is different in different countries, I think what I said is right in most of the countries)
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why haven't governments illegalized bitcoin transactions? on: August 30, 2019, 10:24:35 PM
Do you know that when there is an increase in the financial status of a country, they will feel it too whether illegal means or legal, and in one way, some countries would have felt a better financial status on their economy linking it to bitcoin.

For something that is helping the economy of the country financially, why would government really place those unnecessary bans or make it illegal. Bitcoin technology itself was not developed for and illegal purpose, but people only took advantage of the little weakness of it to do illegal things which can really be controlled if government is to regulate the industry. People just carry about news through assumption and then blow it beyond proportion, if the way they say government sees it as illegal, by now, they would have succeeded in banning it.
I know there are many governments that are trying to regulate bitcoin. But how will be the regulations?
The purpose of regulation is finding those people that are trying to misuse the system. For this purpose, governments need to have access to identity of the users. If this happens bitcoin won't remain anonymous.
Governments should also be able to block some wallets and also reverse transactions. How can it be possible without harming the decentralization?
So, bitcoin shouldn't be anonymous and decentralized. In this case, will bitcoin the currency that it was supposed to be? If want to have a currency which is centralized and controlled by the governments, No difference whether we use fiat or bitcoin.
204  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: August 30, 2019, 10:08:23 PM
This morning when I checked the website there was two countdowns on the lambo page, one was like an hour left or so if I am not wrong and then the other was the 60+ day whole ordeal thingy, what was the first one and what was the second one ( I assume second one was ending of it all).
Every time I check "Golden Ticket" section, I just see one countdown. Now there are 62 days left until the countdown ends.

To be perfectly honest with you all other talks about house edge is just a marvel that even after 10 years of crypto gambling world that started first with satoshidice, some people do not realize they can't beat the system. There is house edge, you lose more money than you win on the same bet, what don't they really understand? What part of it is so confusing that they think they can find a solution that can figure out a way to turn the system into profitable ways for themselves. Gambling is something you do for fun, just try to enjoy it instead of trying to win.
You are completely right about the house edge. The owner of the gambling website is always the winner and players always lose. They lose 100% in long term and they might win very low amounts of money in short-term if they are very lucky. You are 100% right. No one can beat the system. There are some people think that they will be finally winner. They believe that they cannot be unlucky every time. Some people always increase the amount of the bets as they think they will be finally winner. Finally they lose more than they can afford and leave the gambling website after a big loss.
There is no need to have mathematical knowledge to understand the house edge. It's really simple. When you try to increase your bitcoins two times in freebitco 5250 numbers out of the 10000 ones are in favor the owner. Knowing this is enough to understand the game is not fair.
(I don't blame freebitco or other gambling websites. House edge is really needed to remain profitable and alive.)
205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Swiss Crypto Banks Receive Licenses From Financial Regulator on: August 29, 2019, 09:22:32 PM
Switzerland is always proactive when it comes to adoption of digital technology and they never had any issues with bitcoin in the past and it is good to see that FINMA granted license and we will see legal trading platforms from Switzerland and according to the news release they are planning to start them this year itself. I hope many countries will follow the same route when it comes to crypto regulation.
I don't agree that Switzerland government haven't had any issue with bitcoin.
If they had no issue, they would ignore it and allow people use bitcoin however they want.
I still think that people are able to use bitcoin however they want as bitcoin is decentralized. But this is not what Switzerland government want. They want people hold their bitcoins in centralized bank accounts. They want to have control over people's bitcoins. But I don't think they will be successful. People will ignore such banks account and continue to use decentralized wallets.
206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the difference between binary option and gambling? on: August 28, 2019, 10:30:35 PM
gambling is not a risky game, it’s an entertainment game that is luck based and I don’t think that should be considered as risk, I have been gambling for 3 years now and I have not been under any unnecessary tension because of risk, I play my games for fun and I enjoy every bit of it.
There are many people that don't gamble just for fun. There are many people that have lost huge amounts of money. There are many people that cannot their gambling habits. They spend a lot of time on gambling. For such people there is a high risk in every game they play. Gambling is very risky for such people as the outcome of the game can affect their life. There are many people lose in gambling, then try to recoup previous losses and finally lose all their money. Gambling is not just a fun for all the people. There are many people addicted to gambling.
207  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: August 28, 2019, 10:08:23 PM
Visit the betting section and pay attention to amount of prize pool in different bets.
I wonder why the prize pool in all the bets is increasing regularly by 1 Satoshi. It's a bit weird. Are all the people betting only 1 Satoshi? Isn't there any person bet 0.01 bitcoin or any other amounts other than 1 Satoshi? Don't you think the amounts are being manipulated by freebitco? I don't think this is normal.
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why haven't governments illegalized bitcoin transactions? on: August 27, 2019, 10:33:11 PM
I have heard some stories about making bitcoin transactions illegal. It's all been a humor and I don't think any government have officially made bitcoin transactions illegal. Why is that?
Many governments are trying to regulate bitcoin, control exchanges and force people to be authorized. But I am sure government wish bitcoin was not created and there was no trouble of regulating bitcoin. They  prefer their fiat to any other currency.
Why no government have made bitcoin transactions illegal?
I think they want to avoid creating an underground market. They don't want bitcoin to be traded like Alcohol and drugs. They have to accept bitcoin as they cannot stop a decentralized network and now they can only try to regulate it. Do you agree with me? Is there any other things have caused governments to not make bitcoin illegal?
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Swiss Crypto Banks Receive Licenses From Financial Regulator on: August 27, 2019, 10:01:38 PM
What happens when government begins to license Bitcoin banks and then makes it illegal to trade or store bitcoin without going through the banks? You know how government controls everything they want by simply declaring certain activities illegal?
I completely understand your concern. But I don't think that will happen. It's too late to declare bitcoin transactions illegal.
Assume that United States or United Union has declared bitcoin transactions illegal. Does it stop the network? Aren't you able to send me some bitcoin any more?
You will be able to send me bitcoins. I know your concern is the troubles you will have after making the transaction. Because now you are a criminal. But note that you can remain anonymous.
This feature of bitcoin will cause a underground market to be created and that's why governments have not declared bitcoin transactions illegal. They don't want bitcoin market to be like alcohol and drugs market.
Also note that even if United States or any other country declare bitcoin transactions illegal, there will be other countries accept it and that will cause your bitcoins to be still valuable.
Any way, everything is possible and it was only my opinion. I admit that the future of cryptocurrencies is unpredictable. Hope I am right.  Wink
210  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀ROCKETPOT.io 🚀| NEW BTC Crash Game ✅ | Win the Jackpots 💰 | Launch Thread on: August 27, 2019, 02:58:31 PM
I think this wheel or roulet game in this site will be like by the true gambler because it is an very easy game and easy way to win large amount of prize. All we see the huge prize that this site will offered. This will be a great attraction to those gambler want an easy money but I think need to add some games that can attract more gambler to follow and play to this site.
No one will give you money easily. In all the games you play in gambling websites, big wins and also big losses are both possible. The chance of lose is usually higher than the chance of win. That's due to the commission the website should earn. If you have joined a website, you are playing dice, roulette, etc. and you think you will win big amount of money easily, be sure you are deceived and you will lose all your money. Big wins need luck. For earning money you need be lucky when you deal with gambling websites and you should be hardworker or clever when you deal with other industries and jobs. Earning big amount on money is not easy.
(I am not blaming Roketpot, as I am still new to this gambling website, I am just talking generally about gambling websites.)
211  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀ROCKETPOT.io 🚀| NEW BTC Crash Game ✅ | Win the Jackpots 💰 | Launch Thread on: August 27, 2019, 02:35:49 PM
Don't you think you should consider a few Satoshis as bonus for new users? I suggest you give a few Satoshis to new users. You will not harm if you make such a decision. Many of gamblers first play with bonuses and if they are satisfy with the website and like it will deposit big amounts of bitcoin. As I said, you will not harm and it will not cause you to lose money. As the minimum withdrawal amount is much higher, people will lose this bonus, but it can attract them to deposit bigger amounts then. This is what most of gambling website are doing to attract new users. Also, most of the newbies start with these kind of websites as they don't want to deposit money. But then they become addicted to the gambling website and deposit big amounts of bitcoins.
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Swiss Crypto Banks Receive Licenses From Financial Regulator on: August 26, 2019, 11:40:47 PM
I generally don't see this as a good news for cryptocurrency. Because the whole essence of Bitcoin and other crypto is to remain decentralized and largely unregulated. Once banks begin to come in and regulations begins to take place, Bitcoin will become centralized just like fiat currencies. So, what's the good news?
Bitcoin will never become centralized. You will be always able to make transactions decentralized and anonymous. No one can stop the network unless miners stop their work. (That time bitcoin will be totally dead)
As I said in a post above, I agree with you we don't need banks when we deal with cryptocurrencies. We just need the blockchain. But I don't agree that this is not a good news. If you think these banks and governments can make bitcoin centralized, you are wrong. They can only make some centralized platform and we can simply ignore them and use our own decentralized wallets. Let them make their useless effort. Bitcoin is always decentralized with the help of blockchain technology. Not only these kind of news are not bad, but shows that cryptocurrencies will gain mass adoption in future and will attract many new investors if medias spread these news.
213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Swiss Crypto Banks Receive Licenses From Financial Regulator on: August 26, 2019, 08:39:15 PM
Red the article , it has 2 references to the companies which are mentioned there.
Both links go to company sites where they have news articles which are about newly gotten licenses. If those companies are legit themselves then the news are legit.
Besides Switzerland always has been the number one banking country and they do not want to lose that.
The news is true. The companies are also legit. But they are unneeded.
You are right about Switzerland banking system. Switzerland's banks are the safest banks all over the world with very low level of risks. Depositors are always protected. These are why Switzerland banks account are really especial. But all of these true only when we are talking about fiat money.
Cryptocurrencies don't need banks. Because we don't need bank accounts. Also, we don't need banks to send our money to others account. We have a decentralized wallet and some private keys. We don't need any thing more.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Swiss Crypto Banks Receive Licenses From Financial Regulator on: August 26, 2019, 07:50:08 PM
I visited Seba Crypto AG website which is one of the licensed company mentioned in the article. It doesn't seem they are going to create something new and special.  It seems that they are going to create a centralized bank account for our cryptocurrencies. Nothing more!
According to their website they will provide bank accounts for fiat and digital assets in one place. If we assume that digital assets include cryptocurrencies, they are going to create a bank account for our cryptocurrencies.
They will also provide e-banking apps. In this case, they are going to release a wallet which is regulated by Switzerland government. They are going to help the governments to play role as a third party in our cryptocurrencies transactions. We don't need it. We already have decentralized wallets. We use cryptocurrencies to be independent from banks and now they are offering bank accounts.
According to their website, they will also tokenize fiat, precious metals and any valuable product. I think it's better to focus only on this. We don't need bank accounts for our cryptocurrencies. We have already better options to keep our cryptocurrencies safe.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin need to be a currency? on: August 25, 2019, 08:22:14 PM
I think the reason why many people has not really seen much of its payment function is because we still concentrate on the store of value benefit of it, so you find many people who are demanding for btc doing so keep it in their wallet till bitcoin is completely mined with the believe that by that time, bitcoin would have grown very much to yield them enough profit, which by then you will see an increase in its usage because everyone must have accumulated enough of it by then.

It takes more than 100 years till all the bitcoin are mined. that time is too late for bitcoin to become a currency which is used by all people.
I don't think there is any relation between end of mining and increase in use of bitcoin. Mass adoption and increase in use of bitcoin depend on many other factors. The most important one is how governments will treat bitcoin and how they will regulate it. No matter there are still some bitcoin to be mined or not. even if all the coins are mined it has no effect on function of bitcoin. Nothing will change. Bitcoin can be used as a global payment system today if governments allow that.
216  Other / Meta / Bitcointalk deleted accounts on: August 25, 2019, 09:22:40 AM
As far as I know, it's impossible to delete accounts. But there are many accounts that have been deleted.
Start from user ID 1, change it to bigger ones and see how many accounts have been deleted.
I am curious to know who had been the owner of the account with user ID "2".  This account is even older than Satoshi's account and it is already removed.
Now there are many missed user IDs. Why have they been deleted?
217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the difference between binary option and gambling? on: August 25, 2019, 08:10:53 AM
I am not new to both binary options and gambling but just want to find out if what I am having in my mind is actually truth! Remember that binary options entails analysis and since is a bit of forex and stocks trading movements predictions it is not all about luck . You may have a good strategy or knowledge on both fundamentals and technical indicators that may makes you money. In gambling I have not see any such technique and since I have been gambling I completely depends on luck and risk.

You are right about the knowledge binary option investors have. Yes, they have knowledge about fundamentals and technical indicators. But what do they analyze?
They analyze the charts and market trends. They see a pattern and predict what will be the a price in a certain time.
Now consider gamblers that predict football matches. How do they predict the matches? Do they only try their luck without any study? Many of them are skilled people with knowledge about analyzing football matches. They pay attention to the past matches of the team as well binary option investors pay attention to the past patterns and charts. Both of them study. Both of them are skilled people.
I admit that there are many gamblers that play only for fun, but that not cause us to think gamblers are unskilled people. There are many skilled gamblers.
Generally, I believe binary option investors gamble.

218  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin currency stability on: August 24, 2019, 11:38:49 PM
To what extent will the economic war (between the US and China) affect its future impact on the bitcoin?
Will these countries resort to bitcoin to maintain their economic strength?  And avoid economic sanctions among them?
Will Bitcoin succeed in maintaining its strength and stability as it is not under central authority?
I am just wondering how you are comparing economic war (that is the sanction) with the price of bitcoin. You need to have a better understanding of economic sanction, then you will understand why i said this. Economic sanction means imposing trade barriers between two countries. This does not only mean ban of transactions between countries. If there is an embargo, then no way products can be transferred from one country to another country. I mean imports and exports will be strictly banned through any means of transportation. If this occur, how is bitcoin going to help in this case?

I think bitcoin is helpful for a sanctioned country. Bitcoin cannot solve all the problems of a sanctioned country. But at least it can simplify evading sanctions. Usually bank sanctions are the most strict sanctions. All bank transactions are traced by United States government. But the government is not able to trace every transportation. The biggest difficulty of a sanctioned country is evading bank sanctions.
If sanctioned are imposed to country, no bank will make the transactions for what they buy or sell. If this problem is solved, be sure they will find a way to shift the goods overseas. Countries usually do not sell goods to sanctioned countries, because they cannot be paid. If they can be paid, be sure they themselves help the sanctioned country shift them.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the difference between binary option and gambling? on: August 24, 2019, 10:25:00 PM
In my opinion is Binary option is a kind of gamble. In both Binary option and gambling you are predicting an outcome and you are risking your money. So there is no difference. But some people believe that Binary option is not gambling and it's different. They believe that binary option investors are skilled people. They study market trends and analysis charts. But Gamblers are emotional people that just hope they predict the outcome right.
I think, however the people involved in binary options and gamble might be different, the nature of both is completely same. In both you are predicting something that no one knows the outcome. So, they are same as each other and we can call binary option a kind of gambling.
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks are offering Negative interest rates! will this help BTC on: August 24, 2019, 03:55:18 PM
It is interesting! I think that's an bank strategy to attract and convince people to continue to patronize banking system. But you know if that the bank offer, i will grab it. I will make a loan and invest in cryptocurrency so that i can gain more and more profit. Maybe banks didn't realized that if people borrow from them with negative interest rate will be an opportunity to have more investment in crypto specially in bitcoin.
Seems that you have misunderstood the OP.
If you hold your money in these banks, you will get zero interest rate. For example, If you hold 100 dollars in your bank account, you will get back 99 dollars at end of the year. It doesn't mean if you borrow them 100 dollars, you should give them 99 dollars after a year.
Giving negative interest rates is due to avoid inflation. These rates are changed over the time based on the economy condition of the country. They don't give people free money. Negative rate are only applied when you give the back money. It is not applied when you borrow money.
Assume that they give you money with zero rate. What will happen? All the people will borrow money.
