201  Other / Meta / Re: Control shitposters/spammers in this forum with this simple trick. on: February 15, 2018, 11:40:17 PM
Certainly we have different opinions about the shit posting but I think what you have suggested is a bit too harsh.
I do agree that we have shit posted too before and that would be unfair for the noobs today. We ranked up because of some trash posts and that's a mere fact.
Noobs are struggling and maybe the merit system is more than enough resolution for the problem stated.
Noobs are trying to be constructive and that is good.

Thinking the same way. Moderators are not that many to give merits to all.
Everyone can actually give merits to anyone but some are just to lazy to read recent posts and comments.
They just focus on leaving posts that have enough characters to be reviewed by a campaign manager.
I don't how everyone could actually have merits.

Not unless they really don't deserve merits at all.
I do hope that everyone do use their smerits.
Encourage to review gold quality posts.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin too complicated for ordinary folks? on: February 07, 2018, 11:49:05 PM
I agree with the fact that some are losing focus of what really matters and just have eyes in the price. But I would not say it's too complicated for ordinary people. An ordinary people can use it as long as it's accessible. Students like me are proof of it.
Maybe the technicalities about the system are a bit hard to understand because of lack of knowledge, background and interest. But in general, it can be undesrtokd by anyone.
205  Other / Archival / Re: What is Bitcoin Wallet? on: February 07, 2018, 10:24:33 PM
As an addition to everyone's perspective, wallets are sometimes build differently. Some are online wallets ( which is the one I am using ), offline, hard wllets.

They are storage of bitcoins, sometimes there are available that you can store other coins too.

I use online wallet because this is the only wallet here in our country that you could actually use bitcoins as payment. They built it with direct contact to bills, banks and remittances which makes transactions faster. Though there are fees.
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the most common uses of Bitcoin? on: February 07, 2018, 10:13:46 PM
I am a newbie in Bitcoin Forum.I know some of the most important uses of Bitcoin. They are:
1.You can buy a flight ticket.
2.You can rent a hotel room.
3.you can buy pizza and other food related goods.
4.You can use it as a investment vehicle because bitcoin will continue to grow in value.

I want to know other important uses of it.

Though I want to experience those things, I can't. There is no store accepting bitcoins here in the province locally.
I do purchasing through online stores and it's my mode of payment. Most of the time I convert some of my earnings to fiat to purchase things. Maybe some part here in our country, some stores do acknowledge bitcoin.
I aim to travel soon. Going to do that with bitcoin as mode of payment.
Hopefully, soon here in our province, I could experience stores accepting them.
207  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people says gold is better? on: February 07, 2018, 10:05:02 PM
Because it is less volatile than bitcoins.

Gold and bitcoin are both a commodity or asset that acts more as a currency but unlike bitcoin it can be physically stored to have its preserved valu and may increase also time to time.
Investing to gold is by buying it - hard, tangible, maybe in form of accessories or coins or bars. Storing them in a safe place is good investment.
Also, they are recognizeable and issued by the gov.
208  Economy / Economics / Re: when you sell out of panic, you are contributing to the dump! on: February 07, 2018, 09:47:16 PM
Hahaha. Those people asking why it is dumping surely are the ones who got left out on selling first that is why many are angry because they can't pull out their many at the time it was being low.

They wanted to sell and some think twice about doing that. So more dumping happens.

With prices that low and many are getting angry tat iswhen FUDs are created and many are being scared---- more dumping as a result.
People should know to trust their guts on this.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think we reached the bottom? on: February 07, 2018, 09:22:56 PM
I think yes, and I also think we will be in a bear market for a month or so

The bloodbath might be a good correction for bitcoin. And every dip is healthy to make us realize that after reaching the lowest price, it will not go beyond or lower than it the next time.
It's about to recover and we should expect moody movements of the market.
No one knows if rising will be continuous or not.
Everything will be okay. I don't worry a bit.
210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dropping again like a stone on: February 06, 2018, 10:53:05 PM
Try to lie low in posting topics like this. It's not helpful and it can be considerd as FUDs. You are just shaking more people to panic sell.

Try reading more and instead of updating the forum about drops, try find useful news and informative articles. Try to understand it and share your thoughts about it.
Do not mind the prices that much.

Maybe then you could contribute to the forum rather than dragging some noobs to be scared more.
211  Economy / Economics / Re: One world currency, on the blockchain on: February 06, 2018, 10:29:08 PM
Possibilities are high and it can actually happen. But in my opinion it will only increase crime and mostly corruption. A one government would not suite because every country have different cultures and traditions or even beliefs and understanding.
One government will only bring chaos. For instance, the president is from a specific country, how would he allot his time to understand what a specific country need. For he would only notice what his country wants and how he can make it rich.
He can easily turn down a country as he has the power.
212  Economy / Economics / Re: It's Not Over Yet on: February 06, 2018, 10:16:35 PM
I do agree that it will not be the end for bitcoin and those who invested at its peak.
FUDs are endless, and I hate it. When people go posting some news there should be proper citations and references. Well, I hope articles are true though. Sometimes, news are terribly wrong too.

Many names of I don't know experts that are coming out lately and says "bitcoin is a bubble".
I was like who the hell are they saying that.

I am rich and I say Bitcoin will go down ( sarcasm ) .
213  Economy / Economics / Re: Those who have invested in bitcoin when it was 18k-20k$ on: February 06, 2018, 10:02:51 PM
Encourage your friend to hodl. If he sells now, his loss will be permanent. Try to calm and just wait for it to go up again. Though we expect for slow recovery, he should be patient.

Many have been shaken and he should not be one of them. Panic selling doesn't make any good effect.

Markets go extremely down and gets harder to recover upon users abandoning bitcoins.

In my opinion, its easier to make the market go down through selling than make it go up through finding investors.
214  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the market turn and start growing again? on: February 06, 2018, 09:52:45 PM
When prices started to pump from $5k to $10k to exceedingly $19k which is enormous hype, you haven't expected that it can actually go down ?
Bitcoins is volatile and it goes both ways. Either up or down. As bitcoin corrects it's value, it becomes safer store value. Stability lessens the risks.

Just remember that what comes up, surely goes down sometimes.
Bitcoin go zoom, now it crashes hard. And let us wait for it to recover
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung has now entered the cryptocurrency world on: February 06, 2018, 03:58:23 PM
I'm a big fan of Samsung technology and it's pleasant to hear that different companies such as mentioned tries to enter the world of cryptos.
Sadly, scaling is our problem. Improvements will attract more people and will increase workload of block chain proportionally.
I just hope that resolution to the scaling problem comes first and it just the aim of mining.

But good news though
216  Economy / Speculation / Re: This crash needed to happen, in all honesty. on: February 06, 2018, 06:55:49 AM
I agree to everything you have said. This is reality and it is factual.

The sense of the quote "too good to be true" was ignored when bitcoin started to pump up high that everyone got excited of joining the hype.
Regardless of the risks, many invested at high prices.

Certainly, this is healthy not just to bitcoin but also to the block chain itself.

Hopefully, there are more Real companies than just show offs.
217  Economy / Speculation / Re: Please stop selling! on: February 06, 2018, 05:27:22 AM
Every day I see bitcoin going down even more. I don't understand why is it happening. Selling now is betraying the bitcoin's values as well as losing a lot of money. Why don't we all just calm down and at least stop selling our coins? Bitcoin's destiny is in our hands. If we believe it's a great coin then it indeed is a great one. If we tell others how good bitcoin and other coins are then they are going to believe in it themselves and it will help the market to recover.
If we, however, decide that everything is doomed then it indeed will be so! Why not to hope for the better and try to hold (if not buy) our funds, so that we are the ones who win rather than lose?
I am even thinking about making a flash-mob in facebook. For example, we all could post hashtagged message '#iamholdingbtc'. We can change the things for the best. But we do have to believe in it and do something, not just let the stupid news ruin our world.
Who's with me on this?

Why would you force someone not to sell ? What if they needed it and it's a life and death situation ?
Come on, we are in cryptocurrencies because we want financial freedom and that is what we have done when we invested our money so why on earth are you decorating someone ?
Buying and selling are both ways of valuing bitcoins. Because valuing means we USE it. Not just by hodling and let it have a mark value or high price.

It's not just the selling that drags the market down. It's the banning of bitcoins not just by any country but also in businesses. Some just sees investing in bitcoins unhealthy anymore.

If you want to hodl then hodl it is.
218  Economy / Speculation / Re: How is the price exactly being manipulated downwards on: February 06, 2018, 04:51:03 AM
I think it's about some investors are already abandoning bitcoins. Due to the scaling problem that causes not much of a profit to them or even convenience due to traffic and high fees.
Dragging the market down and making everyone panic sell.

I think that it's a good time to buy. I thought everyone is waiting for this to happen. Not unless they changed their mind because of the unresolved situations.

I don't know but to those who believe in bitcoins, some time soon, cheaper bitcoins will be eaten up.  Not fast as before though.
219  Other / Meta / Re: Loyalty of the participants to their campaign? on: February 04, 2018, 11:37:06 PM
Those people behaving like that are too greedy. Though I prefer a long run campaign, I still do consider the rate because I honestly needed it but not by jumping to other campaigns with higher rates.
I also consider my capabilities in doing the required posts and my constructiveness. I'm not good and quite grateful if somehow I get accepted. That is why I don't do that.

As for loyalty, sometimes it's rather slavish when you don't trust the manager.
Sometimes, when they see a much trusted manager or the one they trust, they quickly jump.
Maybe they got scammed before or for other reasons.

As a suggestion, why not make it as a rule of campaigns, that once they leave, they will not be able to comeback until the next campaigns are created.
220  Other / Meta / Re: How to avoid useless posts ? on: February 04, 2018, 11:17:29 PM
Pretty much every thread in the general discussion has a post from a bounty account that posts only to increase their postcount

Threads and posts are seriously like this..

thread: "will bitcoin rise in price ?"

posts: "bitcoin is an old cryptocurrency blablablablablablabla and i believe bitcoin price will reach XXXXXXX this year" (believe so much that dont buy, but spam posts to get bounties worth few cents of shit coins"

its pretty much impossible to have a productive thread when the posts are not even related. You come up with a point during a thread but no one even read it.. they just open the thread and click reply and write lots of lines (because short replies are not well seen) without even taking in consideration whats been going on in the thread

how can we have a productive forum ? will bitcointalk have to end bounty deals ?

As we all know that somehow we end up replying to threads like that once in a while.
Though it's like replicas of the ones before or contain thousands of replies already but No Day is alike and everyday might have new circumstances. That is why some might post another similar topic or still replies to such threads.

If somehow you suggest to trash it all, then everyone's activity will go down along with the rankings which we will be facing the consequences of gaining merits.

I suggest that for people who will be posting me threads, try to make one with a good information and not just buy updating that IT FELL or WILL IT RISE.
