201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NEW][CRYPTONIGHT][COIN] PINKSTARCOIN on: January 14, 2018, 05:18:53 PM
There are already a huge number good cryptocurrencies solving major problems. Can you give 2-3 main advantages of this new cryptovurrency just to understand what prefferences it will provide with.

There is no innovation here, it's a copy-and-paste job.  They can't even bother to change up the announcement page or put up a real web site.  They literally can launch a crap coin like this over a weekend of part time effort.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Zclassic - Bitcoin private - Why the hype? on: January 14, 2018, 05:16:50 PM
Have any exchanges said they will be supporting the fork and crediting you the Private?
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Zclassic - Bitcoin private - Why the hype? on: January 14, 2018, 05:12:00 PM
And what happens to the price of ZClassic once Private launches?  It won't be pretty.

This is one of the dumbest coin launches yet, combining 1:1 matches with a coin with a market cap of $225 billion and one with a market cap in the millions.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [FNO] Fonero - CryptoNote v2, Unique Modified Stable Kernel on: January 13, 2018, 07:04:43 PM
Another joke money grab coin.  What is "unique" about Fonero?  Absolutely nothing except the name.  These morons forking all this crap can't even bother to reformat or improve the announcements, it's just a blatant 100% copy and paste job.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NEW][CRYPTONIGHT][COIN] PINKSTARCOIN on: January 12, 2018, 09:37:06 PM
Another scam money grab.  I mean seriously, this stuff is such a joke.  Shame on any exchange that would give this any credence at all.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: January 12, 2018, 09:32:36 PM
Something really odd with the profit calculation goes on sometimes.  For example right now in the Miners window it's showing a profit of $7 per day for Tribus but when I view details it shows $73 per day!  Other times they almost match.  What would cause that?  I realize the miner's view uses actual hash rate and the details uses the benchmarked rate, right?
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XAO] Alloy - The next generation anonymous, Cryptocurrency based on CryptoNote! on: January 12, 2018, 09:24:18 PM
Yeah no network block in over two hours, what's going on?
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: January 12, 2018, 05:41:28 PM
Can I set a profitability factor for the "Unspecified" algorithms like I can set a factor per coin?  For example it seems like I am consistently exceeding the NiceHash CryptoNight profit calculation by 10-15% and I would like to set a factor to adjust the calculated profit.

And I just want to thank everyone here for being so helpful.  AM is a fantastic application and is a central part of my mining operation.  Every day I'm discovering more of what it can do.  I made the right choice in going with AM.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: January 12, 2018, 01:52:47 AM
And another profit switching question:  Why are some algos not available to benchmark for my AMD miner softwares?  For example Tribus is not available even though it is selected as an available algo in the Coins-Algorithms options.  Tribus IS available for Nvidia benchmarking.  sgminer supports Tribus AFAIK so why isn't it available to benchmark?
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: January 12, 2018, 01:45:19 AM
I'm just getting into the profit switching stuff and have a question:  is it possible to configure AM to use the BTC payout option on zpool for all coins except for one or two where I would set it to pay out in that coin instead of BTC?  There are one or two coins I want to get paid in but the rest I just want to get paid in BTC.  Based on what I've seen so far in the AM options screens I think it's all or nothing, right?
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BTCP] BitcoinPrivate: A Truly Private Bitcoin [Equihash] on: January 11, 2018, 05:03:17 AM
I am interested in this article title and enter, because I think Bitcoin is everyone haha, so I am curious about what is a private bitcoin, if the transaction is confidential it is perfect

There are already a lot of established privacy coins.  I'm still trying to figure out what is new about Bitcoin Private.  Smells like just another scam money grab.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BTCP] BitcoinPrivate: A Truly Private Bitcoin [Equihash] on: January 10, 2018, 07:39:35 PM
What will Bitcoin Private do that ZClassic does not?
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zclassic, Zcash Fork No Premine, No 20% Founders Tax on: January 10, 2018, 07:34:25 PM
None of the wallets support seed words?  The only way to back them up is by file backups?

Are there any plans to implement seed words?  That is the only backup method I'm comfortable with in the long term.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining with Ryzen 7 and Rx 570 - Hash - Algo - Pool on: January 10, 2018, 05:58:41 PM
I just got a Ryzen 1700.  I am doing NiceHash CryptoNight right now for testing purposes.  OCing to 4 GHz/1.3V and am getting 450-500 H/s.  It did crash last night so I may have to lower it a bit.  The hash rate is not real consistent but even on the low end this is making over $2 per day after electricity.  Well worth it.  The only thing that bothers me with Ryzen is the last of integrated graphics, that's not great for dedicated rigs though it's not a showstopper.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: January 10, 2018, 05:20:09 PM
I've switched the statistics around endlessly to get the "perfect" daily estimate ratio

Not sure what you mean but there is no reason to "switch statistics around".  AM is a powerful tool but like all good tools you do actually need to understand how to use it properly.

I would suggest turning off all the profit switching stuff until you figure out how to mine one coin successfully first.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: January 09, 2018, 05:22:32 PM
I purchased the standard edition as we're currently running 4 rigs. (6 GPUs each).

The software is behaving very oddly. It is an absolute crapshoot to get all 4 rigs mining at the same time.

Assume I have rigs 1 through 4.

If they're all in a stopped state, I can start rig 1 fine. I then try to start rig 2, and it becomes a random chance that it simply starts mining as well, or will stop rig 1 from mining and start itself and rig 3 mining instead. If I then try to start rig 4 it may just stop all the rigs and start rig 4. Then I can start rig 3 again and suddenly all 4 rigs run. It's always an instantaneous change on the start of another rig.

It seems like any time there is a state change on any rig, there is a non zero chance one or more other rigs will be affected.

Through vigorous start/stopping I can sometimes get all 4 mining but there's no guarantee they'll stay that way as sometimes other rigs will stop when algos are switched or what have you.

Occasionally instead of "stopped" I'll see service offline as a description, but that never seems to last and the machines are still reachable via ping with no packet loss.

I've made sure each machine is on its own reserved ip and everything looks good network wise, does anyone have any ideas as to what I might try to troubleshoot this? I'd sure like to get all 4 rigs mining consistently asap.

Thanks,

-a

Many times I see instances where AM says "service offline" for 10 to 30 seconds yet the miner API is still getting data back to AM.  It's like AM is too sensitive to disruptions in the connection to it's remote agent.

cast_xmr seems stable enough recently that you could add it as an option for the profit switching miner and not just as a managed miner. Please update it to the latest 0.81 version too.
Is there any way we can add the negative luck for electroneum, perhaps as a '35% pool fee' like they do on whattomine? I like how you have the profit factor for the built-in online services used for profit switching, but manually defined pools really need something like this too. It could be used to fix electroneum, and other coins with issues such as x17 verge (look how many orphans are found on any pool).

Double click the coin you want from the coin page and change the "profitability" factor.

I don't see how to set a profitability factor per coin anywhere.  I do see the profitability factor in the user defined online services but that doesn't help with setting it per coin.

EDIT:  never mind, I was looking in the Options menus, it's actually under the Coins tab thing on the main screen. I'm discovering something new with AM every day!

With the latest update, none of my templates will take on remote rigs. I select a new profile to launch different mining software and they keep only starting the same software.

As an example, I was mining Cryptonite. I then want to switch to ETH. Select a different template for the managed miner and apply it. Software shutsdown and new software starts up. However, the "new" software is the exact same software from the previous profile. I have run the "Upgrade Remote Agent" on the remote rigs.

What am I missing or is this a new bug?
If you open the Properties of this miner after applying the profile - is the information correct? What if you manually stop and then start the miner, is it starting with the correction configuration?
Can you also manually version on one of the Remote Agents that it's in fact the same version of Awesome Miner. Thanks!

I've had similar situations where I can change the pool or template and the miner restarts using the old pool.   I have to change the pool and/or restart the miner again to get it to actually take the new one.  Sorry I don't have an easy way to reliably reproduce this but it happens frequently.  I believe I've even seen the situation where I change the pool in the managed miner's properties, restart the miner, and it continues to use the previous pool.

5% premine. Another useless crap coin money grab. And an anonymous “team”?  Lol
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: January 08, 2018, 03:17:32 PM
I know this has been brought up before but it really would be nice to be able to easily switch between a managed miner and a profit miner.  It would certainly make things quite a bit easier for us.  As it works now the best workaround is to just create two different miners for each rig, right?  Not a huge deal for only a handful of rigs but that will quickly get cumbersome for more than a few.
