That doesn't mean that the coin has to be different. you have gotten some excellent designs in. The coin can still be a "tribute coin". it can still be a tribute to metal music but don't forget that a large part of the coin was your disgust of pre-mined pump and dump coins. Your coin is somewhat a protest against that.
Does it have an amazing roadmap? Not really(though the services offered by you guys(or just one guy?) is a pretty good idea) but a modern coin that ISNT pre-mined or had a ICO or IPO is relatively rare. you can win some hearts with being honest and hardworking instead of coming over as a money grabbing ass.

Eddie is still a cool name for the coin. The coin is still a tribute to honesty, spirit and freedom of individual character. The no-premine is incredibly powerful, especially in this climate of ICO scams. The road-map doesn't need to be anything unobtainable. A simple goal to get Eddie on the best exchange possible by the end of the year would be a start. Perhaps another goal to spread awareness of the coin using a honest KPI would be another (such as x amounts of tweets and x amount of pages in this thread would be another). A long term goal might be to get Eddie as an accepted "tip" currency on some metal forums. For example, it'd be cool if I could tip Darkly Spectre some Eddie for being a sensible dude on a forum where many other users act pretty poorly towards each other. If anything, I reckon it'd be cooler if Eddie hit an exchange and was valued at just a sat or two. It's not about the monetary value of the coin, its about the acknowledgement that a simple scrypt coin that's easy to mine can be a source for spreading a message that we should be excellent to one another

Well, the pleasant surprise regarding price did not eventuate and this coin hasn't taken off at all.
I see 2 options for those that mined some:
1) Sell it off for whatever you can get. Hope the small amount of BTC covers your electricity that you spent mining it.
or
2) Set some increasing sell orders on the exchange, forget about the coin for a while, and hope a group Pump and Dumps it in the future and you make a little more BTC than option 1.
I hope nobody actually paid the crazy BTC of Fiat on the Dev's Exchange for this coin.
If so, I do feel sorry for you, and can understand why you feel angry now. For the rest of us, either hold for a little more or sell it off and move onto the next coin...

Whilst it's a shame to see the old Iron Maiden Eddie Logo gone, the new branding is really quite smart looking.
I think the new branding also makes it easier to read the "No Premine" section of the description, which I personally feel is one of the stronger aspects of the coins launch so far.
Just one note; Page One of the ANN still has a few pictures of the old branding, which I think should be removed.

Just added in the OP: In order to leave a free vote, just leave a message here like "I vote STAY for XXX" or "SWAP XXX for XXX" + the reason you want this. Again, please add some arguments why do you think it's a fair swap or why should a coin definitely stay. We chose most of the coins based on their popularity or affiliation with an algorithm, and it was a lot of data to process, so we don't want to just throw a currency out because someone left a simple vote for no reason I vote for Espers. The Pool has a fair chunk of Hash thrown at it now, which I'll take as a sign of confidence that the coin is establishing itself well.
Additionally, the small % that the DEV gets from the Pool should be all adding up for him.
Should be a lesson to other Dev's that they don't need a premine.

My rough estimate on a Single 1070 is that 100 coins is going 12+ hours.
10+ days I suppose ) New coin, no exchanges, no real plan, and that kind of hash day 1, tells me people have incredible faith in this coin.
dev promised to listen to the public opinion. so lets see... Yeah, I've been hammering it for a while now and have a fraction of a coin. I'm going to recalculate my payout time to about a week, which is way more than I'm willing to spend mining this coin right now. I understand this was just for fun, but I don't think its going to work out in the current configuration. I can NiceHash .01 Bitcoin in the time it takes to mine 100 of your coins and I'm pretty sure that's a more fun. |

Windows + R then type %appdata%\\micronotecoin to dev: decrease payout please, 10 is pretty, 100 so high.  Agreed 100% My rough estimate on a Single 1070 is that 100 coins is going 12+ hours. A smaller payout would encourage some single GPU users (and even some CPU miners) to mine at least a few coins, and therefore distrubute the supply a bit more. |

The pool address is incorrect in the ANN. It is actually here : http://us01.coppercoin.net/ (note the missing 0 in the link in the OP Thread) However, I can't get the nodes to sync, even with a manual -addnode= arguement in the commandline Anybody have any luck getting the wallet to sync with either of the two nodes (note that I also tried the IP for the 2 nodes, and can't even trace to them...) |
