yeah found it but my wallet will not sync I created a config file with the nodes but nothing

The pool address is incorrect in the ANN. It is actually here : http://us01.coppercoin.net/ (note the missing 0 in the link in the OP Thread)

However, I can't get the nodes to sync, even with a manual -addnode= arguement in the commandline

Anybody have any luck getting the wallet to sync with either of the two nodes (note that I also tried the IP for the 2 nodes, and can't even trace to them...)

wake up .. there's no devs .. this (you can call it coin) is built by walletbulders / maybe you can go and ask them to get you the node details .. they host it for free for 1 month ... the whole project is worth less than $100 / don't waste your time and electricity

I suspect you might be right. Even the pool is incredibly flakey and keeps dropping me off.
