Refunding fiat with an increase to allow for btc price rise is a flawed idea.  It assumes that the fiat holder would have traded perfectly and held.

btc-e has earned a new level of trust and respect.

If they choose to continue service, even though it may be risky, I still may be up for reusing the service in the future.

They deserve much donations if what they say is true.

Me too.  So much respect for these guys.

For all those who buried us, I will remind you that the service has always worked on trust and we are ready to answer for it.
The funds will be returned to everyone!

Btc-e  ---  more integrity than the goddamned US government!

(quote)
Users openly and explicitly discussed criminal activity on BTC-e’s user chat.  BTC-e’s customer service representatives offered advice on how to process and access money obtained from illegal drug sales on dark net markets like Silk Road, Hansa Market, and AlphaBay.

WOW I spent a LOT OF TIME in the btc-e chatroom and I NEVER saw anything like this happen...

1) Alex dont have access to keys. Owners could of paid, they did not. Case closed.

2) Alex have access to keys and he is the only one with the keys (else coins would be moved) - FED is likely to get keys from him and payout a few while auctioning rest.

3) Traders made money of more stupid people via FUD and fear of been left behind, aka pump and dump. Similar to FED handling of economy.

4) Even if all humans put all cash they had into come crypto coins - it would simply reshuffle existing crumbs mostly.

5) By understanding fears and manias such as greed, envy, cowardice, jealousy, etc aka knowing self and influence we humans can  enjoy our life on Earth.

6) If its not done fight for a crumbs continues, while very few withhold most resources including technological ones from most. Increasing pollution and rise  of fuck life attitude leads to end of human on Earth (not an overall end, yet a evolutionary setback)

The most important is that even ISIS possibly(!) can be financed with BTC-E(xBTCe) money scheme.

ISIS has been funded through mainline BANKS since it started.

210  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e.com wont ever be back: stop wasting your time and energy. It's DEAD. on: July 29, 2017, 01:20:01 PM

211  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e Legal action. on: July 29, 2017, 12:55:55 PM

It's called rule of law and private property.

Something the US gov cares little about, except when it is theirs.

For several years now I have considered America the enemy of freedom.

This just adds another brick in that wall.

The world will awaken.

213  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: July 29, 2017, 08:54:18 AM

But this might all be irrelevant. What matters is that the feds want to shut down BTC-E. What the feds want, they usually get. Undecided

The corrupt American gov is virtually bankrupt, they will STEAL every dollar they can, like desperate thieves.

Still there is some hope left.

The "corrupt American gov' can print as much money as the like out of thin air via the Federal Reserve,  and the sheeple around the world will honor it.

What they are trying to do is close any method of exchange that doesn't involve on of their third parties, eg. a US bank. They want to control everything in the world. Crypto and cash transactions bypass that third party, so the only way to attack it is to go after exchanges, and ban cash.

Yeah but THAT train is about to come off the rails.  And when it does, the bankers that own the fed will be the only winners.

Yes, what makes me angrier than anything is how they have branded the entire userbase as criminals. BTC-E could never have functioned if that were the case -- it had lots of liquidity, traders. A great API/trade engine. I (and many others that I know from Tradingview, etc) am a legit trader, and I think most of the users there were.

All they have is some transfers from 2012 that this guy, Vinnik, supposedly made. Suddenly, the exchange is criminal, and thus it's okay to steal from its customers? If they could even seize anything -- no announcement of such -- but they have now made it very likely that the owners will disappear with customer money. What choice do they really have? The feds want to put them in prison for life.

This is how govs operate.  Think of world history - even that is lies upon lies.  US is the KING of the heap and the biggest source of lies and disinfo.  Everything that comes out of US criminal gov is carefully honed propaganda.

Lots of sour grapes on bitcointalk.  I think some enjoy wishing ill on others.

Most users on btc-e were just simple traders.

Also the exchange had an EXCELLENT reputation in the crypto scene.
