201  Economy / Collectibles / (Want to share) Beautiful A&G Crypto cello pack PSA 10 on: June 12, 2021, 01:21:21 AM
Hey all

I feel very fortunate to have a PSA 10 gold cello pack.  Timelines and costs aren't a snap any longer over at PSA as most of you know.

204  Economy / Collectibles / Re: NastyMining $14K+ / 140oz .999 Silver Coin Giveaway! on: May 29, 2021, 12:11:03 AM
Mine just say it goes to the collective group.  Nothing specific for just myself.  I still think this is really a cool thing. Cool Cool Cool Cool

Thanks for checking. You must not own any online seats. It’s somewhat important to note that while Minted Seat coins are a cool collectible I invented to sell as a fundraiser for seats and they do contain seats, the organization itself is built around online seats. Many people confuse the two because there is obvious overlap, but anyone could create a similar product and point seats at it. We’d likely even support and promote the idea if they shared donations.

Minted Seats are pooled together for the lotto so that it isn’t necessary to peel them and prove ownership to participate. This was the best workaround I could come up with.

I'm cool with all of it, love the physical coins Cool Cool Cool

I am looking forward to possibly getting some MS70 scores on my hockey coins to put a few beautiful MS70 sport sets in my collection.  With popularity of bitcoins I'm sure we will see some other crypto sports coins made but, these were the first to market and from the well established cryptoimperator.

I will see if I can get this sketch up by Will Street, a brilliant artist and a close friend.  Hockey it is. Cool Cool Cool

How is progress on the Hockey coin? Any release date or time frame as yet?
According to my calendar it should be any day now.

I too am waiting impatiently for the hockey coin.  Take a look at the MS70 one of the bballs scored.  Cryptoimperator provides beautiful coins and I'm sure there will be more perfect MS70's coming.  What # of the basketball coin did you purchase as that is the # you have secured for the hockey coin.  I don't know if there will be much opportunity for those that missed the basketball coin but, there might be a few hockey coins that show up.  These coins are stunning in person for sure.

If I remember right, the cards will be graded by A.I., then go to a human - for final analysis. So, they get ya for the final step of the grading process, the "eye balling" of each card. Has to be, at least by a small part, overseen by humans. Any way you shake it out, the process is going to be a lot more speedy. I expect the final viewing by humans to be just a formality, and pretty much overlooked in time.

*With around 25 of the X mini's still out there...I'm betting that the one graded 10 won't be the only one out there. There's still a good chance a couple more could come in a 10....which is why that card was for sale for such a long time. The owner has that in the back of his mind constantly.

* Deal on a goldie:

Agree a few more 10's could show up, never know.  I think the goldie might be a little high, maybe just under 10k might move it.

My experiences have been good but, they take 30 days and they place the hologram facing the front, I do not know why.

216  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2017 Physical Bitcoin BTCC Mint Casino Style Chip 0.1 BTC ANACS MS 69 on eBay on: May 03, 2021, 08:16:28 PM
While it may hold 0.1 BTC these physical bitcoins trade at a premium because they aren’t allowed to be made anymore. It’s not so much about buying BTC as it is buying a collectible, limited item such as a comic, metal coin, baseball card because of its year and condition.

I’ve seen physical BTCC coins with 0.001 BTC go anywhere from 300 to 600, hence my price.

I see people make new coins on here all the time. Those specific ones may be discontinued like many other previous coins and coin makers but I doubt the premium is that high.

Here is someone wanting to sell the same coin and grade for 0.22 BTC. Keep in mind that was when 1 BTC was just shy of $20k, and the higher BTC goes, the lower the premium is in BTC.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5291479.0

I would agree in most cases as btc goes higher the lower the premium with some exceptions.  I think the million doge since it is so limited the premium can be whatever the seller wants it to be.  Same with some of the very rare high end casascius.  These are for the collectors looking to collect.

Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) has announced that it has acquired Genamint, Inc., a software company that will help improve and scale the process by which PSA handles trading card submissions. Genamint technology analyzes each trading card in real-time and is able to provide diagnostics, measurements, and detect alterations or other changes made to a card’s surface in an effort to assist human graders. It will also provide unique card identification – or “card fingerprinting” – by identifying the exact card in order to track provenance, resubmissions, condition changes and other attributes over time.

Yeah it is only a matter of time that human eyes won't be used at all.  Humans are imperfect and grading can be done fairly easily by AI if the right amount of smart people create the technology.  Machines are taking over the world!! Lol.  I view this as a good thing as grades will be more true and consistent.  Just wonder what will happen to views on pre and post AI grading.

i wonder if there'll be a premium  on the ones seen by a human eyeball.  maybe they can give this a nickname like "human graded" or "BB" for before bots.

The spread right now between an ungraded card vs. PSA 10 is off the charts on most cards.
219  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Topps Allen & Ginter Reference Thread on: May 03, 2021, 12:38:25 AM

The PSA 10 is the hottest ticket in town right now.  The minimum cost to grade a card is 300.00 plus insurance for a chance at a PSA 10.  Not good odds.  The cost to pull a x mini black, cheaper to just buy the card in my opinion.  Any #83 insert card graded PSA 10 is going to the moon no doubt.

you cant grade plastic, if someone does they have nfi.

Not sure if you are referring to the chips being made of plastic, but whatever they are made of anacs gives them a grade.
