201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ROI] ROI Coin | CPU Only Solo Mining Hybrid | 15% POS | 593% Term Deposit on: February 03, 2018, 10:01:34 AM
The cluster is down, or has other address ?
http://coinspool.cu.cc/ also down, only http://roi.optiminer.pl:8081 is working

Thanks for the update. On the cluster I would want Raster to be the one to update what is going on with his cluster mine.

I would not be surprised to hear of a pool issue the coin has been smashed with an enormous increase in hash rates as more and more miners come after the coin. Yesterday I was looking at our network page (https://roi-coin-blockexplorer.roi-coin.com/network) and noticed we now have a global mining effort with only Africa not participating. Also on the stats page (https://roi-coin-blockexplorer.roi-coin.com/hash) I noticed we have recently had total network hash rates well above 200KH/s which to me is really impressive for a fairly new cpu coin.
At the moment the big hashrate is only from 2 miners. Both of them put round about 70.000h/s on the coin. So more than half of complete hashrate (and coins) go to this 2 guys. I stopped mining at the moment because the quantity of coins I get is very low when hashrate is so high. This is one reason why I don't like nicehash. Cool I have no problem when hashrate is high and coins go to many people. But when the most coins only go to 2 people it is very bad in my opinion.

I have had around 0.5-1% of the hash on the optiminer pool over the last 24 hours or so and still getting from 0.5-1.8 coins a block. 720 blocks in a day. Its still a good ROI once you term the coins for 12 months.
Yes you dont get as many coins as the guys using nice hash. But there is nothing stoping anyone using nice hash.
That is the good thing about this coin. Even if you dont have 50KH you can still make coins and term them in order to get more.
The nice hash users will always be there unless pools change there authentication so nice hash can not connect.
But nice hash can be good for coins. It can push the value of a coin up as it makes the coin harder to mine.
Even at the rate I am getting coins vs the cost of power or the cost of the coins on the exchange its still cheeper for me to mine the coins than it is to buy them.

If you stop mining it mean more easy coin for them.

This is very true. If you leave hash on the pool you will keep getting a nice stream of coins. Coins you stop them getting.

Regardless of if anyone likes nice hash it serves a coin well when a coin is like this.

Over both exchanges there is still less than 150,000 coins being sold. This is very very low for a new coin. Most new coins end up with millions of coins dumped in the 1st few months. This coin has its miners holding the coins in term deposets.

I put it to you to use the 12 month term and enjoy the good intrest on the coin. In time the intrest on term will drop and if the network hash is 5 times this amount its going to be hard to get any coins and you would be wishing you had made use of the 600% APR.

We have had problems with the Cluster. The cluster is down at the min. We can not seem to get the windows wallet to pump out blocks in to the network. All solo blocks at this point on the cluster fail to get in to the network. So untill we can figger out what is wrong the cluster will be down.
I dont have a ETA as of yet. It could be a hour, day, week or even a month. But we will get it up and running dont worry.

EDIT:

If at any point the cluster address changes I will update all files and info on the website. (That I need to go over and spell check haha)

Definitely there are something wrong in ROI mining.
More than 24hours Solo mining to 1 Wallet with 10 clients ~ 4KH/s and there are no income to the wallet.
More than 12hours mining to stratum+tcp://stratum.coinspool.cu.cc:3042 and no income to the wallet, on Workers Stat the balance increase to 20ROI and then again 0 , but nothing comes to the wallet. Same thing in Round Stats , shares increase to few  ten thousands then again 0 and no income to the wallet.
Now I try pool mining to http://roi.optiminer.pl:8081/ and on each few minutes I'm receiving ~2ROI to wallet.
The strange for me that income type now from Optiminer is
Code:
Mined
, before 2day when I did Solo and Pool mining to coinspool the income type was
Code:
Received with
.
Definitely there are something not clear in all this mining. By the way stratum.coinspool.cu.cc have some DNS issue and not resolving but you can open by their IP 45.77.223.74

4KH is not that much when there is 250KH on the network.... Solo mining becomes a game of chance.

Coins pool is having problems at the min so you will not get much there untill there problems have been fixed.

Optiminer splits the block as its mined. So you see what the pool has sent you but you can not use the coins for 360 confirms. Its much like a solo mined block. Just that its a cut of the block and not the full block.

The coin is working as it should. Its just the method of mining that changes and the way the coins are sent to you. Coins pool will have them for 360 blocks untill you have 20 coins out of the blocks mined that have all had 360 confirms and then the pool sends them to your wallet.

So the only thing that differs from optiminer pool to coins pool is the way its payed. The amount of coin you can make will be the same on both pools with regards to how much hash you have to how much the total network hash is.

I reviewed my clients, but nowhere there are line "accepted". There are only lines like this:
[2018-01-31 15:26:45] thread 0: 977 hashes, 91.94 hash/s
[2018-01-31 15:26:55] thread 0: 1044 hashes, 98.59 hash/s
[2018-01-31 15:26:58] LONGPOLL pushed new work
[2018-01-31 15:27:03] LONGPOLL pushed new work
[2018-01-31 15:27:03] thread 0: 415 hashes, 58.81 hash/s
[2018-01-31 15:27:13] thread 0: 986 hashes, 93.22 hash/s

It this OK ?

Is there some way to get in general more info about my mining, something like, understand when find block or something useful. Because right how, on every 1-2h I'm receiving ~ 20ROI in my wallet but did't get any info for this.

which pool are you mining to ? they each have their own tracking info on their website.
On your side you can add -D for debug and -P for protocol information.

I'm doing solo mining.
I have started Wallet at Computer with IP 192.168.0.100 and 10 other computers which mining with follow options
-a hodl --url=http://192.168.0.100:23110 -u mine -p miner --coinbase-addr=mywallletaddress...

The strange point for me is that I cannot find out  from which mining comes from the coins in my Wallet. As I mentioned I'm receiving ~20ROI on each 1-2h
More than 30 hours these 10 machines was in mining to coinspool.cu.cc , Today I decide to switch to my solo mining as I show above.

If you want more exact tracking please create a receiving address with label like MINER 1. Then on miner 1 put that address in the conf file. Create receiving address like MINER 2 and then on miner 2 use that address. If you have 1 receive address on 10 miners it will be very hard to track that.

OK I'll try this with different addresses, but currently is there some way to find out from where comes there coins: from yerterday's pool mining or from my current solo mining.

Yes go to receive on the wallet and make a new address.
Eg... Solo, optiminer pool, coins pool, cluster, bank.
Use the address in the config that corresponds to the place you are mining.

Sorry dude its been a long time since I have used the nicehash service my self. There will do doubt be bids on YouTube.

I don't think it's possible yet. I watched some videos, and I sent a support ticket to NH. It looks like you need a username, password, and worker to link the pool. I don't think our pools have that - at least, I can't see a place to log in to set that info up on our pools.
username would be your wallet key and password x

You can rent 124KH at nicehash for 0.0124/day and get 68065 roi/day and sell them for 0,034 btc.
More people rent hashpower so price will go up or we see a dump soon in exchange.

I wouldn't mind renting hash power to get extra coins to deposit, but I don't see an option for ROI on the Nice Hash site. Where did you find it?

You need to be looking for hodl algo https://www.nicehash.com/marketplace/hodl

Raster.

Hi Raster, thanks for the help. Do I need to enter a specific pool address to buy from? Sorry I'm not very proficient at this - we've only dabbled in mining on NiceHash, never bought mining.

Yes but then you also have to see if you can sell all of your 68k coins at the current market price without driving it down? Is there sufficient liquidity in the market? I see only about 35k coins are on sale so most of folks are hodling their coins and mining but are not interested in selling. This is a new coin and growth potential is huge given the dev team so I would not advise you to sell the coins for cheap today, rather wait for a few months or year and get higher returns!

This is my thoughts.... The coin has a top dev team one of the best I have seen to date. The coin is going to become hard to mine. I my self like many of you will note when there is alot of hash on the network its hard to get coins. The more network hash the harder it will become.

Other miners from Hodl, EuropeCoin and MAGI are coming over to ROI because they see the devs are active, The coin has much to offer. The coin has forked a few times and been fixed fast. Wallets broken and fixed fast.

I have some ROI and I'm happy to hold them for years. I think most other miners of this coin have the same view. Anyone selling this coin needs to think about the value of the coin.

around 86,400 ROI coins can be mined in a day. the more hash on the network from solo, and the 2 pools (todate) means that at the current rate of hash increase the miners using nice hash will need to stop selling the coins for such a low price or they will not cover the costs of mining the coin.

When selling a coin costs always need to be put 1st and then profits ontop to value the coin. Its no good spending $10 a day mining a coin to sell it at $8 a day.

Lets not forget there is two pools if there is 300kh on the network. 50KH solo, 125kh on each pool the the top miners are not even going to get 40k a day.

Its nice to see the coin is not being dumped like some young coins. Yes the ROI APR is big and that could make big dumps in months/years to come. But I doubt it Wink

Dont undervalue the coins you have. It may become much much harder to mine.

Crypto is the next step for the world. Bit coin is not a coin that can cope with it. Maybe the speed of ROI is a crypto that could be used in the day to day world to buy a loaf of bread and a news paper lol ?

How come this coin is not listed on coinmarketcap.com yet?  I see other coins listed that have only been released a few days ago.

Other things come in to play. The exchange must be on marketcap and the exchange must have over $100,000 usd volume a day to.

We could do with Roi on a exchange like kraken but things like that cost a lot of coin.

For them who are having problems getting the hotfix to work follow this:

So short easy way to fix.
1: Download new hotfix wallet ROIcoin-qt-v113-hotfix1.exe
2: Find Appdata folder and backup wallet file. Then deleate all files and put wallet file back in the appdata folder.
3: make a .bat file and paste the following in to it.
ROIcoin-qt-v113-hotfix1 -rescan -zapwallettxes=2 -connect=46.101.241.241 -maxconnections=1
Save and run the .bat
It will run and download the correct blockchain.
Then close and run the ROIcoin-qt-v113-hotfix1.exe as you would any other time.
Fixed.

Hope this helps you.

some news?

The fork happend at block 48471 we found the fork fast yesterday around 20 blocks after it happened the dev team became aware of it.

The team have found the problem in the wallet code that made the fork happen and they are fixing it as we speek. It should not take to long however nodes will need to be updated and that will take time.

testing a hotpatch fix this morning Cheesy

Yeah 1.5kh from you and 150kh-200KH on the ROICoin network.

The more hash on the network the less coins anyone will get on any pool or solo mining.

The network hash was around 150-200kh when you mined that pool and you stated that you got 260 coins in 12 hours. So you can take it if the network hash was 75-100kh you would have made around 520 coins. But if the network hash was 300-400kh you would have made around 130 coins. More hash on the network = less coins for each miner. Less hash on the network meens more coins for each miner.

I have a wallet on 32 computer and I wanted to put it on another one, also 32. But on the site I did not find the version for 32, only for 64. The developer no longer makes the version for 32?

32 Bit>>>> urm prob not given the limmits of a 32bit cpu/OS in regards to RAM support, AES being needed on the cpu for the algo and the small factor that a 32bit CPU is like asking iTunes to sell tapes.

Intel and AMD have not put money in to making a 32bit cpu for well over 10 years with the very small exemption of corp equipment.

The coin is pointed to the home user. And as of the last 5 years all home laptops and pcs will have a 64 bit CPU and 99% will have a 64bit OS with the small exemption of devices such as linx vision tablets that have a 64bit CPU but a 32bit OS and cant be upgraded due to BIOS limmits.

What CPU and OS are you using?

Optiminer Mining Pool for ROIcoin is now available!

http://roi.optiminer.pl:8081/

Point your hodlminer to stratum+tcp://roi.optiminer.pl:5000:
./hodlminer -o stratum+tcp://roi.optiminer.pl:5000 -u ROIADDR -p x

Will you publish the pool software at github? So others can setup a roi coin mining pool also.

That would be nice its one way to make ROI and hodl wanted more.

After running Optiminer pool for 12 hours with Hashrate of 1.5 kH/s, I made 260 coins. It can give other miners some information what to expect.

Thats with network hash at 150-200kh right?

Nice! New pool. Gonna try it out for a bit and see if it is better.

It should be about the same in terms of what you get over time. But it is very good news that there is a 2nd ROI coin pool. If one pool forks miners still have a pool to mine on till the other is fixed Cheesy

Biggest miner in pool have 44.45 KH/s how it's possible?!

nice hash miner that is wasting alot of BTC mining at that hash rate because he/she would make the same coins with half that hash or less.

Are you speaking relative with another coin? Or mining Bitcoin directly? You right sometimes mining something else then selling it for what you want will yield more coins in the long run.

No I meen if they knocked down the NH abit they would still get most of the block without burning there BTC so fast. I have no problems with anyone using NH I think its a good way to mine for them who just dont have the stuff to mine with. And like DisasterFaster said if he was to put all them coins in on a 12 month hes going to have a good amount by the end of it.

Im using https://github.com/Orava2/ and find I get the best hr from his miners.

I am working with him to see if we can find that gap to see if we can get the miner pumping more hash out.

One of the big things with this miner is the affinity. It would be nice if we could see it set up much like xmr stak locks on to the cpu cores.
But as you and I know the problem with the miners is some cpus are happy to sit at 50% and pump the same or more and others slow down when changing the affinity.

You can't compare HODL to CRYPTONIGHT , these are two totally different algorithms, CRYPTONIGHT ( XMR ) needs L3 cache, which is why CPU affinity is so important. HODL just needs raw AES search power, it doesn't care about L3 cache, and is the reason its boosted by AES-NI and AVX/AVX2 instructions.

Im not, I stated in setting the miner up with the same affinity as I would XMR I am getting more hash and using less power. This is on sse2.exe Im not the only one to see this outcome.
