201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learning Cryptocurrency in Universities? on: May 15, 2018, 02:57:51 PM
I think that before learning cryptocurrencies in institutions of higher education all this market should be institutionalized. I`s say that for now it`s semi-official. Some countries ban it, others don`t but I know no country that is officially recognized it and where it`s legalized. There`re interesting startups, interesting projects, ICOs, cryptocommunities, different business solutions but it`s not a system that works as a whole. But of course the more people know about this new technologies the better...
202  Economy / Speculation / Re: why bitcoin is volatility? on: May 15, 2018, 02:19:31 PM
Bitcoin is not volatility. Wink Volatility is an imminent feature of this currency. And one of it`s main advantages!
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook and blockchain on: May 15, 2018, 01:06:01 PM
I don't this so it is real. Because few month ago they banned all the crypto-currencies saying that these are deceptive. And they want their own crypto-currencies. I think we should avoid these type of news(rumor).

Yeah I also find this kinda strange. But who knows? Cryptos are on the rise now and there`re more and more big players entering the market so I won`t be so surpsrised if one day Zuckerberg announces that the day has come and FB launches its own crypto. People will be very interested because this social network proved to be one of the leading companies in the industry.  Wink
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates to Bitcoin on: May 15, 2018, 11:23:18 AM
Bill Gates is certainly a great person and creator of a huge corporation that personifies the beginning of the digital era, but I think any person can be wrong. If you go back 30-40 years ago, it becomes obvious that the works of Bill Gates were also condemned by someone because of their innovativeness.

I agree. I`d like to add that the older person gets the worse he or she takes innovations. If you take a look at Buffet you`d notice that he is strongly against cryptos. But if he was 30-40 years younger he could have been among the pioneers of this industry I guess.  Wink
205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain can help banks on: May 15, 2018, 10:54:51 AM
Blockchain can help banks but banks don`t want to accept the help. Bankers don`t want to risk their money, their stability and their status. They have a lot of things to lose and for now the majority of them aren`t ready for innovations.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most cryptocurrencies will crash to zero on: May 15, 2018, 10:23:15 AM
I think that the title of the topic is kinda strange. Of couse those who either enter cryptomarket or regular players know risks that can appear but speaking about crash or fall to zero is nothing more than a prognosis that has no real background. It`s just assumptions...
207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why didn't Warren Buffett invest in Bitcoin? on: May 15, 2018, 08:59:30 AM
Warren Buffett is a traditional type of investor. if you take a look into his portfolio, you will see investments like in Oil and Gas, Telecoms, Banks, Agriculture, Beverage and even in Airlines. He is a traditional investor, he wants to play safe and place his money on common stocks where he has voting rights. This way there are higher chances of earning more than investing in preferred stocks. If Warren Buffett invests in Cryptocurrencies, all he can do is hoard and play as a whale but not really in control of where it is heading.

You are 100% right. Moreover he bought various companies (even those that dealing with shoes and boots).
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is humanity prepared to be its own Bank ? on: May 14, 2018, 02:06:14 PM
I've been reading many cases in this forum about bitcoin losses, in fact too many cases. So If all this happens to people with computer knowledge... imagine the masses, I mean "normal people" like your neighbours, grandmas, fathers, etc... The truth is that right now I can't imagine them playing with electrums, wallets, backups, etc.

I wonder if we (like a society) are prepared to be our own Bank.

For other hand, I'm also wondering if we're being too innocent talking to others about the bitcoins we own. If this project has the success that is expected, we could be hunting targets (especially if new fiat economic crises come) the day of tomorrow. It's not difficult to imagine in the near future people robbing other people, but this time asking for private keys or seeds instead few dollars cash in their pocket.

Quite an interesting topic. And a burning one) You know, you are partially right. It`s obvious that the majority of people aren`t ready for entering the cryptoworld. One should be young enough to understand this technology, how it works. One should have a solid business and financial background as well as flair and nous to do things right. One should be ready for responsibility and risks.

Cryptocommunities in almost every big developed country are on their rise now but their voices are still not heard loud enough.

I think that crypto-hype is rising its force right now and despite various single attempts of buisness community and those close to them the cryptomarket is still unready for a massive intrusion of people. It should be recognized by the government, officials, politicians.

As for hunting targets. People who got rich due to bitcoins and other cryptos like to boast very often via Instagram, Facebook etc so there`s no wonder that they are hunted and killed. One should be careful enough while dealing with big money flows.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opportunity to sell for bitcoin on: May 14, 2018, 01:24:52 PM
I was wondering, if you had an opportunity to sell your stuff alike cars, pc, homethings and etc., would you sell it for bitcoin (or maybe other altcoin)? The main question is to see, are you ready trade stuff for cryptocurrencies and how do you imagine it?

I think it depends on the amount of money a person earns. There`s a good proverb: One man's meat is another man's poison. If a person earns little money so it`s useless to talk about buying even one bitcoin. And on the contrary a very rich person who can afford luxury cars, houses, jewelry can buy e-currencies just for fun and out of interest.

211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Digital money is cashless society on: May 14, 2018, 12:56:13 PM
A cashless society is both fascinating and daunting. I’d love the freedom that will come from a virtual world, but think about it. Once you enter that world, there’s no going back.

About not going back. If the innovation is useful why not to use it? Very often a great invention looks awkward but finally it became a thing that changes the world. At first people may not understand it, some may even despise it but when it proves its efficiency it conquers. And it`s the possible scenario for all cryptos. Since its invention many people were kinda sceptical (and many still are like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet whose authority is very strong in business community) but now the situation has changed and it will continue to change.
212  Economy / Economics / Re: Why most bitcoin users from good economies countries? on: May 14, 2018, 12:08:29 PM
There`re many reaseons why most bitcoin users are from good economies countries. First of all, in the developed countries have developed infrastructure, good institutions of higher education, acess to markets, good internet and opportunities to constant learning and professional growth.
213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why didn't Warren Buffett invest in Bitcoin? on: May 14, 2018, 10:41:43 AM
he seems to me to be a too old to understand the potential of this disruptive technology. Suppose if you're dealing with the hedge funds, real estates etc your whole life, it's hard to grasp the concept of bitcoin.
[/quote]

You`re right. This man is 87 years old and at this age it`s too hard to follow new trends taking into consideration his buisness interests!
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a new phenomenal innovation on: May 14, 2018, 08:54:21 AM
Bitcoin is a new innovation and phenomenal, yes. But don`t get too blinded by its light.  Wink
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I did it! Traveling with Bitcoin and $100 only on: May 14, 2018, 08:53:34 AM
For now I think that it`s a risky adventure to travel with only $100 and 3 Bitcoins.  Smiley It should be mentioned that cash and creedit cards are accepted worldwide and e-currencies are not that widespread and suddenly you may find yourself get lost in the middle of nowhere.  Wink To avoid such risks you`d better rely on traditional, fiat money for now.  Smiley
216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Party's over. Go get a job, you lazy animals... on: May 14, 2018, 08:48:00 AM
Party even hasn't begun yet.
We just had few cocktails that warmed us up on 20k.
Be patient mates, the show is about to begin. Wink

Great post)  Wink
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why didn't Warren Buffett invest in Bitcoin? on: May 14, 2018, 08:47:27 AM
Buffet is a man from another century. Take a look at his biography and ways he made his millions. It is what he really understands. But I`m sure that nowadays it`s a completely different situation. New reality, new markets, new players, new rules...
218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Now and Forever on: May 14, 2018, 08:44:33 AM
I think that one should believe his or her eyes and current situation. For now Bitcoin is on the rise and has a good future. But noone knows what will happen tomorrow if we take into consideration its volatility and market situation in general.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the world’s 6th largest currency on: May 14, 2018, 08:39:39 AM
It`s a good news that bitcoin is the 6th largest currencies in the world now. To be among the leaders, in top 5, it should be recognized not by cryptocommunity but also by the government officials.
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheap electricity in Africa on: May 14, 2018, 08:37:14 AM
Africa is great due to its climate and sun. But mining in Africa? Hmm. That`s a tricky question. The electricity is cheap there according to some research but if one wants to fully devote himself or herself to cryptos and mining the choice is to move or emigrate to this continent. It can be a very hard burden to carry. Not everyone will agree to do so. But spend some time a year while doing buisness there - why not?
