201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 07, 2023, 06:05:53 AM
Game 5 is very important and I'm sure both teams know it. The advantage of the winner in game 5 will put a lot of pressure on the losing team. The winning team can end the series in game 6.

In every game series, after it was tied in a 2-2, Game 5 is the considered turnaround of the series.

Teams winning in Game 5 won't be pressured at all entering Game 6 as win or loss, they will still have the chance next game. On the other hand, the losing team in Game 5 will be pressured to win in Game 6 as no chance at all if they will still lose it.

Bay Area Dragons are able to fight back without an import but it doesn't mean they can do it anytime. If no import again next game, Ginebra will now do everything to take advantage of it.
Both teams have to do better in game 5 because that is crucial and whoever takes the lead, will have a good advantage and yes will play in game 6 without any pressure. Though Bay Area looks more comfortable without their import but I agree, they can't afford to be complacent here if they want to get this championship same thing with Ginebra. I hope to see a more productive game for Ginebra, they are missing a lot of shots in the past 4 games.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Charles Hoskinson got criticism for using someone else's NFT as profile picture on: January 06, 2023, 11:04:35 PM
~I don’t think it’s cool to use somebody else’s NFT as a profile picture. The whole idea of them is ownership via blockchain proof. To use somebody else’s means you’ve effectively right click, saved & used it. It’s not illegal I don’t think but it’s kinda shady.

Yes, but the point is on the ownership parts can't be enforced widely. It only exists on the blockchain and any platform that supports it. NFT marketplace is still prone to copycat, and on another platform, NFT users only rely on a platform that supports its, like Twitter feature to connect NFT.

Copyright enforcement is non-existence within the NFT ecosystem. What should the users going to do? implement a strict DRM? The acts on OP are only a move to mock what has been a problem for NFT's ecosystem.
This is why I'm not buying such an expensive picture without any usage because it can copy easily and you can't sue them because there is no such law that protects you. It is only available on blockchain and can still be copied by anyone. The only problem here is that, he's a blockchain entrepreneur so probably exposed to crypto as well, I just wonder why he do this, or he is just trying to prove something here, that NFT is not that good.
203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: January 01, 2023, 11:09:40 PM
Human mind tends to have more worth attached to physical cash than an electronic money (as in CCs, DCs), possibly because it's a recent thing. From gamblers perspective, it would likely make them just spend more.
That could give them more access to their funds online which can be more risky, if you are going to adopt this better to have a separate account specifically for gambling only to avoid over spending especially with your savings. The government is really pushing the adoption of digital currency, making this as a law will force their people to follow and adopt. I don’t know if this is just a trial to Armenia but let’s see the effect of this one, probably gamblers have no more choice there.
204  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price guess, 2023 on: January 01, 2023, 10:46:45 PM
I’m very optimistic for this year and I believe once we are able to break the resistance, Bitcoin will start its up trend up to $30k and beyond this year. This will be a great year again, and we should be more positive after all the stress in 2022. This is a new year, new trend and new opportunities for us to bounce back, let’s just hope that no more negative news that can prevent this market from aiming higher.
205  Economy / Gambling / Re: What sort of Weekly & Monthly Bonuses do Bitcointalk members want? on: January 01, 2023, 10:33:00 PM
If this is intended exclusively for bitcointalk members then I would suggest organizing some contests and competitions like the ones Roobet an duelbits used to organize (guess the slot, highest multiplier.. you can come up with different ideas for the sake of change).
Can't talk for other members but personally I find them more attractive and or exciting than weeky/monthly bonuses. Just my two cents!
That two great casino hosting a lot of promotions almost every week and they are doing it for years already, they succeed on this so follow their footsteps might also be a good idea, I suggest though to have some twist with your promotions. Hire Sir Hhampuz, he’s very expert when it comes to promotions and maybe he can give you more options to choose and know if its working or not. Betting contest and art contest is a good one, try to consider it.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: According To me Ethereum Looks Weak on: January 01, 2023, 10:22:02 PM
There's another alternative to this, and that is these dumpers refuse to dump their ETH because it's down, and they know just like you . They see same exact thing happening when take rewards get and rather keep waiting to sell after dumpers and aftr price is back up. I mean if they had patience to hold this long, they most likely have patience for another year.
Holding for that long indicates that they are still hoping for a better price with ETH and believe that its not over for ETH. We are still on a bear market, that’s why the market is still weak and personally I see this as an opportunity to buy though the chance of hitting the real bottom are more likely to happen in the first quarter of 2023, you can choose just to hold or try to increase your holdings, this is still ETH the top altcoin.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best altcoin to look out for on: January 01, 2023, 09:18:28 PM
The year 2022 ce with a lot of instability in the entire crypto market with some altcoins such as Solana losing their value by almost 70%. Even the worth of BTC and ETH also dropped drastically living many people confused and lost huge funds to this market instability (Bear market as it is called).
As a new trader I would like to know from our experts, the altcoins with good potentials in this 2023.
As a trader you should look into the price chart where you can know when to buy and how to timing the market. Altcoins will rise once there’s a good volume to push it so better to look on that. SOL might be a good one to buy now while its cheap but there’s a risk because of its connection to FTX, so consider other top altcoins. You should learn more about trading, asking here on which altcoin to buy is not a good practice.
208  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 50% Down Move Incoming? on: December 31, 2022, 11:48:36 PM
If i should do ask, why does Bitcoin price continue that get down, is that the market is not supportive tye way I'm seeing, because i believe that Bitcoin price what causes the determination of the price it's because of the people who buy and sell Bitcoin, so therefore i will say that Bitcoin lack more investors that makes the the movement of the price continue to fall, and sometimes the price go down because of negative information that passes by.
There’s no strong buyer at the moment and probably many are still waiting for Bitcoin to dump again and I think in the first quarter of 2023, we might still see the bear trend with Bitcoin. Negative news are still here preventing the market from rising, though many are now optimistic about the trend this new year and we should also believe on that. Bitcoin can rise again if it gets enough volume to pump, we need more patience for this.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with new projects that introduce new Stable coins on: December 31, 2022, 11:37:53 PM
But don't forget the stable-coin you're mentioning is always on alert as well.

For example for "USDT", the rumor is not actually backup 100% by the asset. A potential backup asset is only 60%-70%, they even got check by SEC for the reserve asset also USDT can be frozen.

So, IMO new or old everyone should aware.
There’s a lot of trust issues now with the stablecoin and even if they release their back-up plan and percentage I think its not enough to trust again, so be careful dealing with them especially with the new project claiming to be good as they offer a stablecoin. SEC is doing their job now to add the fud in the market, it seems they timing the market before they make action and right now is their perfect timing to do their job. Not all new projects are ok to deal with, stay cautious.
210  Economy / Gambling / Re: JupiterRising.xyz | MASSIVE Amount of Games!! on: December 31, 2022, 11:28:30 PM
find investors. gamblers need to know that the gambling site they are going to gamble at can pay them if they win a sizable amount of moeny, the gamblers knowing that they can only withdraw once a day and need to wait 3 days if the withdrawal is above $250 because you don't have enough funds is concerning and would most likely make them avoid your site.

Honestly where is a good place to start? Or the best way to start crowdfunding?

I do not have a team, I am doing all of this completely on my own.
Then better to creat your team, because running a site alone is not that easy and when it comes to gambling there should be a 24/7 support because players will always have their concern that needs to be addressed. Find some friends and professionals who can help you build this site better, don’t just create and think about making money because its not that easy at all. Casino needs to be more secured as well, so better to hire a team for this.
211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding could be better on: December 31, 2022, 11:12:24 PM
~
I just went 100% to holding instead of still trying the <20% trade since I was not winning anyway and I do not have the full time to still do trading. To add up to your advice, traders should also check if they can stress it out to do the trading the whole day. Indicators or signals or TAs would only get you so far and you might not even make a single penny in a day.
That's at least from my experience though. It could be different for others.
I am not thinking of going back to day trading just yet so there's that.
Every women should start leaning how to defend themselves and not let anyone to bully them, we should give respect to everybody regardless of the value. Holding and trading are both ok, all you have to is to balance and know where to put your money. Trading needs a lot of time and attention so if you are a busy person, then holding good coins are moe ideal and safe for me.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Goldman Sachs is looking to buy crypto, why? on: December 31, 2022, 10:21:03 PM
AFAIK, they are already into crypto and known as an investor of it.
Honestly, if they want to invest into crypto because of blockchain. They should just focus on blockchain applications and use cases of it.

They are already exposed to crypto, probably they are just waiting for this moment to accumulate more and expand their business, planning to buy a crypto company seems to be more of a serious decision since they are not just buying any specific crypto, they are planning to buy the company. Well, if this big company sees the value of crypto right now, we should be more delighted since crypto is being recognized now and for sure the future is still bright for us. We should start accumulating as well while its cheap, don’t wait for another bull before buying.

214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge Binance outflows - should we be concerned? on: December 25, 2022, 11:46:52 PM
these are all just assumptions at the end of the day, these kinds of fuds are worst because it could only trigger massive rush of withdrawals in binance therefore making things getting worser, we've had so much bad events already no need to add one more I guess, therefore I think binance will be fine and it shouldn't be a concern, I think eventually things will resolve it self, after all binance is among the ones that disclose their reserve to the masses.
This is the result of many FUD against Binance especially if the US government are so serious about sanctioning Binance for laundering. We might see more of this as we are still on a bear market and many are taking advantage of this to stay in a bear trend so they can get more cheaper coins, after this Fud I’m sure Binance will still be here and will become more powerful, watch out for their back up plans and their recovery.
215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 25, 2022, 11:35:45 PM
Congrats to the Ginebra fam for winning the first game of the series. Well, those that have watched the game live, those that were commuting experienced the traffic and rush holiday hour season.
Still, those that have enjoyed the game and saw Ginebra winning, it doesn't matter as you'll still feel the rush of the desire to see them win instead of going home having that lose.  Tongue
As expected, Ginebra draws a first blood and many celebrates their Holidays watching this live.
Traffic was always be there though, regardless of the season. Anyway, Bay Area seems to be more intimidated this time and got disturbed by the crowd, if they want to get some win here then they should be able to adjust and play their best strategy against Ginebra. Congrats to those who are able to place their bet, game 2 will become more exciting.
I'm having that feeling that the 2nd game will be for Bay Area Dragons. But still, full support to the BGSM and this is going to be a big accomplishment for them.
Beating these heavy giants for the 1st game of the finals is really encouraging and adds more confidence to the team and of course, to the Never say Die fans and family.
Winning with a huge lead against Bay Area tells a lot for Ginebra, that means they are really prepared for this finals and they can really beat Bay Area as long as they continue to play as a team. Winning the first game is always a good one, this can boost their confidence and I hope they can continue this momentum. Bay Area will bounce back and let’s see if Ginebra will allow then to do that. Waiting for the odds in game two, I will stick with Ginebra here.
216  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin survived the Christmas market pressure on: December 25, 2022, 11:21:36 PM
The FED announcement has something to do with it if the price moves up to $20k sooner. BTC is related to what will be the economy be like as dictated by the FED.

We can only hope that there will be a recovery of $20.000, another 2 months I think before it could go up again. Winter will squeeze the money out of people's pockets. Do you think people using thier Holiday bonus to buy BTC?
Probably some are buying Bitcoin right now instead of spending it, because its pretty cheap and we all know recovery is about to begin so buying now can be a great idea. If the economy of many countries started to rise again, Bitcoin will also follow that and yes I also believe the current news with FED has something to do with the current trend of Bitcoin. First quarter of 2023 will be crucial, let’s hope for the positive trend.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SBF released, Will Solana ($SOL) come back? on: December 25, 2022, 11:06:59 PM
SBF, Alameda became the worst thing that happens to any projects they support.
Solana network was already making people loss interest on the project and now that sbf dirty laundry has been revealed to the public, investors will lose the confidence to hold the coins, dev will not want to continue supporting and developing project that is not transparent. There are better projects out their .
This will surely affect SOL and even if SBF has been released, it will be hard to attract new investors again especially now that many knows what they did to other project. SOL should start making update without SBF and they have to assure the public that their project is still safe and far from being bankrupt, SOL was a great project before and I hope they can still recover.
218  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does anyone still survive? on: December 25, 2022, 08:42:15 PM
Everything that happens every year has great difficulties here, Do people realize that forums are starting to be left one by one? Undecided
There’s no proof for this because last year the market ended on a better price and many chooses to stay since they are still making money. Don’t create fud and panic if you don’t have any supporting documents for this claim, this forum has been a great place for those who are learning more about cryptocurrency and I believe this forum will stays for good.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to blame on: December 24, 2022, 11:51:53 PM
Is the requirement of KYC from online casino the reason that gives birth to online casino getting regulated? I mean in the past there is no regulation thing pointed to online casino but now all eye are on them for a must regulation if they want to keep their platform alive and functioning.
Regulation is the reason why KYC is being asked, and no one is to blame for since that is expected as we push for the mass adoption. Other site is still KYC free, many are still taking advantage of it but be ready because they can asked for a KYC anytime especially if the regulations will be more strict to them, it looks like inevitable now.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is how altcoins performed in 2022 on: December 24, 2022, 11:43:28 PM
This has been one of my worst year with crypto, and that performance is a proof that bear dominates the whole year. Hoping to see at least a small progress for those top altcoins, we should see the recovery next year or else we might see another negative performance for many altcoins and even with Bitcoin. On a positive site, this could be a perfect timing to buy more good altcoins, they are still cheap right now so better to grab this opportunity.
Many lose their confidence about altcoins, and that is because of many negative issues with the top project before and seeing this percentage is a proof that the market is not doing well and one of the worst bear market. The next trend will surely about bull trend because we can’t stay bear forever so its good to buy some now, and maybe next year will be the start of a small pump that can trigger bull run.
