There are less more things that i want to do than quoting myself, but reading the last posts really forces me to do so. The folllowing is from my reply to a PM i received this morning:

Hi there,

i read about your concerns, i try to follow this coin as close as i can, i even try to read gembitz postings ;-)

You suggested to ignore the so far unclaimed btx from the november snapshot. Though i had the same thought in one greedy moment, i do not think that this is the right way. And that for 2 reasons:

1) Every other BTC related coin suffers from "lost in space" units. Just thinking of this british guy who threw away his HD with 7500 BTC. BCH, BTG and all the other upcoming forks will have lost those coins, too. That counts for BTX as virtual fork as well. But more important:
2) When the distribution was decided, BTC was not that high as it is right now, transaction fees were quite a little bit lower. So noone considered, that the way the BTX have to be claimed (importing privkeys and with that transferring all BTC for security reasons at high costs) will not be practicable right now. (Remember the ratio BTC/USD back then). Right now there is the simple problem, that it will cost way more to claim the BTX, than the amout you get back in return.

The only way of improvement about this, is that we get a stable coin with a stable raising in price in the future. The BTC holders need an incentive to claim their BTC, and the name of this incentive is CASH. I´m confident, that once BTX will gain value and awareness, then more and more coins will be claimed.

But one thing can not be denied: Blockchain is blockchain. The BTX are now spread, and changing this in any way would bring massive harm to all the cryptos. Just imagine the cold wallets - someone deciding "hey, you did not move your coins for 5 years - now i claim them"... No way :-)

What we need is a base for mass adoption of this coin, LROS was a good step towards. But one thing is counting for all coins as well: we need everydays usage. Paying at the supermarket or gas station and so on.

Stating this i must confess that i follow another project called Monacocoin (XMCC) (future branding Monoeci). The main aim of this project is bringing blockchain "at home", usuable everyday and every hour.

Holding, HODLing, selling, daring, running... No matter what. Everybody is aching for new listings, bigger exchanges - and that not being aware of what it would cause.

Seeing todays attempts of dumping after the airdrop make me feel some kind of sad. I am afraid, this project COULD become some kind of a toy.

IMO let´s focus the implmantation in everydays usage instead of watching any ratios, neither usd nor btc. CMC is not our biggest problem at all - the confession towards this project is the biggest problem we are facing right now. Don´t allow to get a playball of this game, just focus on a stable rising.

Let´s focus again on the basement - please.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POW & POSe X11][MASTERNODE] MonacoCoin - A real use in Monaco on: December 11, 2017, 02:00:05 PM
I just realized, that xmcc is now listed at coinmarketcap. As far as i can remember it was not listed some days ago (excuse me please, if i was just blind and i am telling real BS right now).

But if my eyes were right and the listing is really fresh, then i wonder if this was intended or not. We are infront of a complete rebrand and other projects didn´t list xmcc so far (e.g. coingecko), then are there any ideas about the reasons for cmc? I am just curious, because - regarding another coin i follow (BTX) - they hardly act in a way that is expected by the community.

Imo, the listings should take place after the rebrand took place in January just not to confuse the folks. The way to implement cryptos in such a way to gain everydays value is just to important. Most of the cryptos just demand "pump and dumps" to make fast cash from it, but that´s why i like this coin so much - the idea to bring it out to the world not for speculation reasons only, but for the simple evolution of blockchain and all what it is capable of.

Meanwhile the MN is running - one nice thing to see.

Hi!
I just found out about Bitcore and i really like the name + the pinky thumbnail (it's catchy).
I will reasearch more about technology, but i know that you receive 4 % weekly, but that seems too good to be true. ) + this 4 % grows with 1 % every month up to October?

You just need to keep BTX in their wallet and that's it?
And if i register my address how i know that i registered corectly?

Wait one week to see if i received the airdrop or there is another option?

https://bitcore.cc/faq.php

You can check if the address you registered is balanced with your Btx using the blockexplorer.

And yes, in December 4% every week, raising 1% every following month until the airdrop ends, because current wallet no 1 is empty.

Thanks for the airdrop. Another Monday with a good feeling to start into the week😉

Though i have no idea, why a simple polite post related to this weeks airdrop can be off-topic, i just wonder why other postings (let´s say from people who are ignored by more than a small amount of unique persons for example) are not deleted the same way.

Is there anything we should know about regulations in this forum?

Great project but i was looking for facebook campaign.

Thanks for your interest. Sorry, we do not have facebook campaign as of now, we will consider your suggestion in our next  Strategy meeting

The first time I read about this project, it sounded very interesting. Waiting now for more than 1 month for any updates. Has the mentioned strategy meeting taken place? Results? When can we expect the documents mentioned in the OP? Or is the project officially dead?

Interesting how dollar price on cryptopia is always 1-2 $ lower... Bittrex would be the best christmas gift Smiley

Personally, i don’t think that any listing at a big exchange will hardly improve anything atm. BTC is in the focus right now, and ALL the alts are simply trying not to miss the train.

We had listings in the future, that sounded very promising - and the promise did not come true.

From my point of view, the main target should be to become stable for first at the point we are right now (looking forward to the announced new roadmap in this context). I would love to see this project as one of those becoming everyday used by a large bandwith. The potential is there, the way is filled with stones.

The last days I was really wondering everytime I checked the coins I follow. There was barely any reason for the ups and downs. Let’s expect BTC to calm down a bit (once CME and so on was adopted)., and then overrun the field from the back.

BTX is still a young project (April this year), and seeing this thread growing about 8 pages/day shows the interest that is out there (even the regular 4 pages/day excluding the spam and BS that is growing here).

anyone want to get airdrop every monday , you should withdrawl your btx to your local wallet as soon as possible ,otherwise you will not get your btx out of exchange in time ,and you will miss the airdrop.

As it's my first airdrop this coming Monday, when is the latest time to have the coins in the wallet to be eligible for it? Don't want to miss out. Thanks.

That depends where you live. The airdrop takes place somewhen between 0 CET and 24 CET (Berlin time). Last week for example the snapshot was taken some hours before  the coins themselves arrived.

I just found this early post in this forum. The story of the "most expensive" pizza EVER!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137.0

Hopefully we - the ones who hold BTX at this stage - will never be asked by our children or whoever will participate from what we do right now in the future, why the f****** hell we bought some pizzas for 90.000.000 USD (*geez*)

Seeing the movement of this coin makes me feel confident for the future of it.

The efforts taken by the developers seem to be good for all of us. Remake of the homepage, FAQ, and so on. Though i think we should put a little focus the world record a bit more. We are still in the early stages and everything we can move now will help us to move things way easier in the future.

And to all of those who are about to sell BTX - think about the pizzas first!  Wink

214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - BLOOM - ONLINE - new virtual fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: November 16, 2017, 08:40:31 AM
Just to get an idea. How much people are investing (as in spending money on exchanges) in this coin?

I only had 0.02 BTC around the 2nd Nov snapshot, and I am not even sure if my BTCs were part of the snapshot or not. So, not worth for me to go through hassle of claiming when I will only get half of it. Therefore, I decided to buy some BTX from exchange and hold it and receive 3% more each Monday.

Anyway, I have to send some BTC to buy the BTX on the exchange and decided to send 0.01 BTC (about $90 AUD) from my JAXX wallet to cryptopia. But got really worried when the confirmation showed I would be charged 0.003376 BTC in mining fee (WTF!!). Thats like $35 AUD in fees. Not worth sending $100 AUD worth BTC to exchange when I would lose $35 in fees to buy this coin.

So, I am asking the question, how much people are investing in this coin?

To really make the higher mining fee on BTC worthwhile, I would be better off sending large some given the fees would be same instead of smaller amount and buy this coin. Just curious to see what other's take on this. Invest more on this or hold the BTC.

Another option is to mine this. But I only have single AMD R9 280x GPU, don't think it would cut it for this coin.

And that is why we just have to love bitcore. Super fast and such lovely small transaction fees Grin

Imo the question „to mine or not to mine“ is always the question of trust. Not for the fast run, but for the long term. Just getting the electricity cost in return today, does not mean it’s not worth the effort- when (not if) this coin will start to fill our hearts with the warmth we all deserve Wink

Hello everyone.
Can you please confirme what i think? I understand here that the airdrop is currently ongoing. Is it right?
Is the registration only one time needed?
Thank you for your help! 🙂

Hi, yes it is ongoing. It has been estimated that airdrops will last until next February.

You only need to register ONCE for all weekly airdrops.

Do you have an reliable source for this expectation?

So far, we only know the number of "airdropable users" from the last week (at the 25%). Imo, we will be able to make further conclusions, when the actual airdrop is done, but honestly not at this point right now.

So basically our airdrop will finish within 1 month if the circulating supply rising like this, right?

No, this is not correct.

The following will use  simple numbers.

Let‘s expect a circulating supply ~11.000.000 BTX. Then there will remain ~ 5.000.000 BTX for the weekly airdrops.

Due to the fact, that only registered wallets are eligable for the airdrops, i think max. 5.000.000 BTX will be part of the airdrops. (There are tons of BTC holders, that will not move any Penny just for this project within the next months. And i don‘t expect Satoshi Nakamoto to do so at least Wink ) For example: there were only ~ 600.000 BTX claimed from the April Snapshot. And even my thought about those 5.000.000 BTX seems like scraping the sky, the more i think about it....

Now the simple math:

Week 1: 3% of 5.000.000 = 150.000 (remaining 4.850.000)
Week 2: 3% of 5.150.000 = 154.500 (remaining 4.695.000)
Week 3: 3% of 5.304.500 = 159.135 (remaining 4.535.865)
Week 4: 3% of 5.463.635 = 163.909 (remaining 4.371.956)
Week 5: 4% of 5.627.544 = 225.101 (remaining 4.146.853)

And so on....

i don't think..
look, this morning the main address had 4.7 millions..

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/#!rich

and the distribution is not finoshed yet, so i wonder how many token will be available after complete distribution..honestly i don't see this thing very well..

Right now there are ~ 22.000 adresses registered. At last weeks 25% it were ~ 13.700, of which were 80% empty wallets. There is not that massive increase as you might expect.

There is only one way we will get closer to any speculation - and that is watching tomorrows airdrop.

Anyways, those airdrops won‘t last until mankind will have built the first colony on Mars.

The important  point of this former underdog coin is simply its potential  in the future with hopefully coming listings at bigger exchanges and (so i expect it to come) the whole cryptocommunity getting aware of what happened here in the last days.
