Bitmain and Baikal will have their move, i hope all of you realize that FPGA miner developing won't "destroy" these companies.... And it is not aid decentralization either. Big mining farms will buy a thousand of FPGA's if it is going to be stable and profitable.
This always confuses me. For coin decentralization the hardware type is irrelevant, you can help keep them decentralized by mining solo or on smaller pools.

Grabbed one a few hours before they sold out. My only worry is that it's for one coin and one coin only. So long as that coin doesn't flop, I imagine ROI won't be tough with such a low power consumption.
Just fyi, as this is an identical post to at least one other, and considering how long ago the first batch sold out, this post has been reported. If you are a genuine community member, I do apologize and contact the admins and let them know.

Looking for some help. Cannot get wallet to sync. Re-downloaded the block chain, delete the old folders, keeps getting stuck at 99.88%
Edit: Figured it out
Please don't do that. When you ask a web community for help, even if you receive none it's common courtesy to share the specifics of the problem and the solution. Not doing so makes trying to find answers to problems nightmarish.

Thank you Greyday,
Very much appreciated!
Happy to help! I've learned so much from this forum, it's nice to be able to give back a tiny bit.

Has anyone played with the freq ? I changed mine to 634, no hardware errors tiny temp increase and got it 14.4ksol/s
Yup. With fans at 100%, my temps are under 60 @ 650. I need to find my kill-o-watt so I can check the draw, though, the increase in rate may not be worth it...

I'm curious if it will work on prohashing.com if you get a chance if you could test that please.
I don't have time today personally, but I added it to the test requests list.

dmwardjr,
Thank you for your concern and effort to make us all aware of the perils of doing business with Bitmain. I think we all get it now after the multiple so many pages and posts. Can we move on now? I'm sure there are better things you could do with your day/s. What do you need to hear from the members of this topic for you to back off a little and let other folks express their opinions without your commentary?
I would really love to hear from some folks that already have their units and are running them? Early (LUCKY) owners of Z9's pls share.
Thank you!
If you go back several pages, a couple of us reported in on Thursday/Friday, but I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. Any other pools other than Antpool working yet? why is no other pool working? Was it specified by Bitmain? I don't know, but there are more pools working today than a couple days ago, and one user reported the Suprnova Zen pool is now working (I haven't tested that one personally yet, but I have no reason to doubt it). My guess is it's a poolside issue, not one with the miners, perhaps based on the higher hashrate or something to do with difficulty levels. Pools that have a "rig farm" port tend to be more successful than ones that only have CPU, GPU, and Nicehash, but that's just an observation, nothing conclusive about it.

I started a new thread specifically for those results/testing (and to keep the info above all the trolling and infighting): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4404847

Great, I will keep my eye out for you. Thank you in advance!
Ok, been running for about 10 minutes on your Hush pool, no problems I can see so far. I'm going to leave it there for a few more minutes to be sure. I probably won't have time to test your Komodo pool until later as I have to run out for a while, but the Hush one is definitely compatible.

Exciting stuff. If anyone is willing to test their Z9 on the pool I operate then I would gladly pay for your time or losses (if there are any). I want to make sure that our pool works well and I don't have an ASIC to test with. Pool is at https://www.bitpoolmining.comYou can contact me on discord at https://discord.gg/qTgzdEE so I can give you a bonus payment. I'll download wallets for those coins and give it a try this afternoon.

Have you confirmed this? The site lists the coin as ASIC-resistant under the FAQ...

But you know what, I know what I'm getting with the mini.. One is less noise!! So my 3 mini's will do the same as 1 Z9. /\ this.

I really don't understand what the big deal is, the power draw will probably also be 3-4x as well, likely the only difference will be the upfront price per kS/s.

Is it possible what issue with Nicehash happened because of dynamic difficulties data on pool?
The user who tested it tried several static difficulties as well.

Is there any possibility to get XMR STAK added to ethos?
Cryptonight algorithms are remaining focused on GPU miners. XMR forking to thwart ASICs and the new cryptonight forks are all great reasons to add XMR Stak to Ethos. They'll likely be useful for a long time for us GPU miners.
Thanks!
You can try adding it manually. For GPU only for are you hoping or CPU? AFAIK ethOS doesn't officially support cpu mining and the people who have got it working had noticed a drop in gpu hashrate...

What's everyone mining now with the X3? I tried DERO but with their convoluted wallet system, things weren't being credited.
Went back to BCN since they share 5-10% of any blocks you find in ADDITION to your regular mining payments. bytecoin.uk
Try it out and let us know how it compares to, say, Fairhash. I don't think it sounds scammy, I'm just skeptical about the numbers they post on their front page. Then again, at like $6/day as long as you're earning near that it's 6 of one, half dozen of the other I suppose. Seems to be working as advertised, found 2 blocks and was paid for both. Fairhash wants a 1% fee for bytecoin. Also noticed that bytecoin is about 500k away from its max supply. Huh. Wonder what happens then? I guess we'll find out before long...

They shipped the first 77 orders last week (they announced it on Twitter). I was one of the first, apparently.

Great, keep us posted. Have you tried setting the diff higher to see what it does on those with issues? Thanks for starting this thread it will help.
Not yet; another user did try with Nicehash though, according to him/her, the rejection rate was still high...
