201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Offerings to Cthulhu - 1.4 is Here! Now accepted at Coinworks.info on: September 14, 2013, 09:29:11 PM

The time draws near, the return of The Great Old One is upon us. Join us in our ritual.

As the equinox approaches we begin the ritual; four weeks and five days long it builds until Cthulhu awakens and one worshipper is rewarded greatly!

During the first and second weeks of the ritual, sacrificial amounts are placed in special, once a day blocks. These blocks are a reward to the worshipper for sacrifice made. During the third and fourth weeks of the ritual the rewards build, small at first, then larger as the worship increases with fervor. During the last five days, the 'Tharanak shagg,' or "promise of dreamland," the ritual reaches final pitch and the daily special blocks are highly increased. Finally Cthulhu will return after the xx665th offering has paid tribute to the Great Old One and he will bestow a bounty deserving of Him upon one lucky worshiper. The ritual can be repeated after six months time, following the great halving.

208  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: For Sale or Trade: HD 5850 Sapphire Edition on: August 09, 2013, 07:43:24 AM
i would say that .9 is a little to pricey for a 5850. i think you should sell it for .7-.8 instead. for that price you could still buy a blockeruptor and hub, just fyi.

212  Other / Off-topic / Re: Thinking of paying 500 BTC for A BFL MINIRIG from Arvicco? on: August 07, 2013, 04:22:17 PM
I did post on that thread about the current ROI and some projection information.  It is true that projections can be wrong so I have no problem with the post getting deleted.   The only issue I had was the post stating it would earn 400BTC per month was not deleted.  This is obviously bad information based on FACT.

So there is one post that made his box sound more valuable and one post that made it sound less valuable.   He only deleted one of the posts.

I think he might sell the box for 500 BTC.  Its true, he put the cash up when everyone else did not.   Someone buying the unit from BFL may never get it.   an IN HAND asic is worth much more than a waiting list unless you are guaranteed a date which no company has done yet.   Sure, buy a BitFury August 400 GHs for 1/2 the cost of his unit.  Maybe u will get it maybe you wont..

So yea,  I have no issue with the markup if someone wants to pay for it.  My issue was the way he didn't remove the incorrect (400 BTC a month return) post.

well see i agree with you on one point, its fine to mark something up, but 110% of original price? i'm sorry but i agree with this dude here, that shit is foul. and as to him deleting only the negative posts, i couldn't be more neutral. i think that's the goal of  a self moderated topic is to remove the things you don't like and to keep the things you do. He has that right. Is it morally wrong? well fuck yeah. Does the community consider it ok? yeah, we're not exactly saints around here..

I purchased a bitcoin 14 months ago...  are you saying I shouldn't sell it for more than 110% of the original value?

nice one shill puppet

214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to sel some GIL but cant post to the alt coin forum on: August 01, 2013, 06:31:56 PM
Like the title says, i pretty much would like to sell my GIL. If you do not know what GIL is, you probably aren't interested in this anyway, but just as an explanation GIL is a cryptocurrency that was created by Hydroponica as a tribute to Final Fantasy. He gave away some coins in the chat and i had the privilege of mining several early on, before the greater hashes, aka thinner heads prevailed. So i have for sale 1500 GIL. I'd like to get about 1.5 LTC out of them, but i'm open to other offers, in coins such as Bitcoin of course, as well as primecoin, franko, novacoin, or megacoin. i'm also interested in diamond and ybcoin.

thanks, please post in this thread if you are interested. i don't think i am allowed to send private messages just yet.

@Hydroponica

Really?

Anyone with more than two brain cells not fighting each other for survival can see this is you LOL

~BCX~

i don't think you thought that one through as well as you thought you did
215  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-07-30 Digital Asset Transfer Authority Announced on: August 01, 2013, 09:49:14 AM
I'm glad some of the people who are not the anarchist living in mom's basement types are actually thinking pragmatically about bitcoin adoption.

Because all the "anarchist living in mom's basement types" think that lawyers upholding the principles of a constitutional republic is a more noble pursuit than lining up to clip the ticket through extraneous regulation on the latest innovation that the .... wait, "anarchist living in mom's basement types" have just delivered close to their greedy grasp?

+1. very keen to the subject matter and ultimately exposing his blanket statement. Those who care more about cryptocurrency than basic liberties really need their heads checked. i for one, couldn't give a fuck either way if they regulate bitcoin. i'll just switch to some other currency as the legislators rape and turn bitcoin into the next paypal.

Ironically, those of us in the crypto world and possibly even liberatarians as a whole are just like the patriots back in 1776. we oppose the goverment taxation without representation much the way our forefathers despised the taxation of the Brits.
216  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can someone please send me $10 bitcoins to this address? on: August 01, 2013, 09:22:27 AM
Describe your disorder.

Weed addiction?

Onkel Paul

PS: If you have a real medical condition you need a doctor's prescription and those don't normally require you to buy meds with bitcoin.
I know that health insurances are quite different around the world, especially in developing nations such as the USA where getting medical help might be difficult if you're not able to pay :-)
But there should be a standard way of getting your needed medication in your country even if you are personally broke.

Well i'm sorry to be the one to break it to you, but here in the usa unless your vital signs are failing or you are unconscious or seriously injured, they hospitals and doctors have the right to refuse you treatment and kick you out on your ass, doesn't matter how sick you are. if you have a stable heart beat and pulse they send your ass packing. the only option you have is going to apply for medicaid and getting denied(takes 2 weeks to 6 months), then taking that letter of denial with you to the hospital emergency room and filling out the obamacare paperwork(which is 50 pages of loopholes you have to jump through in order to qualify for treatment.) then you get to wait for a couple weeks to see if you are eligible yet. Fuck this shitty country, and Fuck the tyranist goverment who spends all there money spying on towel heads and can't be bothered to help the least of our citizens.
