He probably bought 56s which usually are Hynix nowadays. Every 64 I've seen comes with Samsung.

Thats what i though,  i bought two from amazon just for test,
when i receive i will post here  Smiley

Thanks

Hi guys,

anyone knows if PowerColor 8 GB Radeon RX Vega 64 Devil HBM2 PCI-EXPRESS Graphics Card could be samsung memory? or will be silicon lotery? xD

Most likely that will be Hynix.

Most of my Vega PowerColors are hynix and seeing that is a "Devil" it means that it is aftermarket. All aftermarket VEGAs have a high chance of not having Samsung memory. If you want Samsung memory then you will probably have to buy 2nd hand reference models of those Vegas.

Hi,

Thanks for awnser,
Even the 64? I know could happen in 56,

Hi Guys,

I will buy some vega 56 or 64 on amazon,  Cheesy

Any tips for brands or partnumbers for increase the possibility of getting an vega with Samsung memory ?

Thanks

The question is which card will you buy, I mean is it reference version or version form asus and sapphire, cause they are different from each other?  I have vega from gigabyte but that is simple reference version build by amd.
I was lucky to have Samsung memory on that board..

Hi ivakar,

Thanks for help,

I just thinking for the reference version too, that had the turbine cooler, could it increase the possibility of have samsung memory?

Could you send the link of amazon of your card?

Thanks

All reference Vega (56/64) [Don't matter ASUS/Sapphire/XFX/Gigabyte/MSI] pretty much have Samsung memory since other PCB manucfacturer aren't even gearing up to produce Vega PCB back then; For aftermarket Vega design (Strix, Sapphire Nitro+, Red Devil, Air Boost), you are likelier to find Samsung memory on Vega 64, and Hynix memory on Vega 56.

Thanks,

I will take this into consideration in the research, Cool

Hi guys,

With new amd drivers , using vega 56 ref card i cant use overdriventool.. im stuck with wattman. But when something goes wrong the radeon settings apply the default setting.  Cool

How can we workaround this?

How can we force the wattman to run our profile at startup, instead of manual?y

Thanks

Hi guys,

Could we use an 1200 hp server supply for vega 56 mining?

I want to build a rig with 12 vegas. Smiley Probably will use an atx evga  750 watts power supply for Mb, ssd and 2 -3 vegas for example. And 2 X 1200 hp power supply for 9-10 vegas.

My doubt is, In the breakout board i have an 6 pin output.

My vega consomes 175 watts optimized and underclocked. But if wattman crashes sometimes they go to 2xx watts.  Cool

Its ok to use this supply and breakout board with 6 pin connectores and  n 6-Pin Male To 2 x 8-Pin (6+2) Male PCI Express Wire 16AWG  anyway?

The 6 pin connector could handle this wattage, what is the limit?

Thanks

Today I tried mining Monero with the new CryptoNightV7 algo for the first time but I only get "low difficulty share" errors and can't seem to fix it.

I tried setting the algo manually and also let Cast XMR auto select but neither fixed it.

If I'm mining a coin with the old CryptoNight algo everything works fine, can anyone help me?

add this to scrypt :  --algo=-1

Hi,

there is an update of Cast XMR available.

Cast XMR now supports CryptoNight-Heavy.

CryptoNight Heavy is different, the read/writes are smaller but use a larger "scratch pad" so the hash rates are not comparable with classic CryptoNight.

Here are some first performance values:

Vega 56  945 MemClk: 1450 Heavy Hashes/s
Vega 64 1025 MemClk: 1550 Heavy Hashes/s
Vega FE 1025 MemClk: 1640 Heavy Hashes/s
RX 570 Compute Mode: 850 Heavy Hashes/s (Polaris picks up!)

Regards,
glph3k

Cast XMR Version 0.9.5 (2018/04/14)
  - 0.5% performance improvement for the CryptoNightV7 kernel
  - support for CryptoNight Heavy set --algo=2 to mine:
    - Sumokoin (SUMO)
    - Haven (XHV)

Download Cast XMR 0.9.5 for Windows (64bit)

Nice Nice.

Could you give compatibility with RX560? or its not in your plans?

LATEST TESTING RESULTS OF THE ENHANCED DIFFICULTY ADJUSTMENT ALGORITHM

The upcoming GRAFT network update will take care of problems with hashrate attacks and instability of block intervals (in addition to ASIC resistance upgrade). We would like to share the most recent results of the new difficulty algorithm testing on the testnet. The first graph shows how the existing algorithm slowly adjusts to multiple spikes of the network hashrate:

The second graph shows how the upgraded algorithm quickly reacts to virtually any change of the network hashrate:

The release candidate build is finalized but we are still in a process of testing of the upcoming network update. We are still on track to release it next week, stay tuned to get further notifications about specific date/time. By the way, if you haven’t seen it yet, here is the most up to date and detailed GRAFT engineering roadmap.

Nice work.

Today wil be an fork to asic resistante? or will be next week? or will be a master release for node is the node software, which has to be updated *before* the fork to give time for pools to ugprade .. Im confused.. xD

Hi Guys.
That's my bat file;

NsGpuCNMiner.exe -dmem 1 -xpool stratum+ssl://xmr-eu1.nanopool.org:14433 -xwal xx/x -xpsw z -pow7 1 -tt 69 -cvddc 900 -mvddc 900 -cclock 1200 -mclock 2200

My hashtare is 880 per RX 580 8GB and about 100-120W from wall. Is that good or i have to change something?

Thanks.

If is samsung memory ou shouk got 10xx H S

I made a tutorial video for anyone who wants to see the latest 0.9.2 version in action with the latest Adrenalin Edition 18.3.4 Drivers - NO BLOCKCHAIN DRIVER!!! I also picked up 1000 extra hash on the rig over xmr-stak.

I have an issue where my GPU1 (rx570) is only hashing ~60 h/s when the other cards are 700 - 770

GPU1 works fine on other miners.

I've tried with the monitor plugged in / not plugged in but the result is the same.

Any ideas please.

more info of the HW please..

You know what will be the algo for mining in Q2 ?

Thanks
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO] AION - The Third Generation Blockchain Network on: March 29, 2018, 01:48:04 PM
Its mineable?

There are several roles that provide rewards in Aion's economic model:

For the initial PoW release (this year Q2), rewards can be earned by mining.

On Aion-1 (2019 release, hybrid consensus), validators/nodes will receive rewards for processing transactions. Additionally, validator backers (DPoS stakers and PoI solvers) will earn rewards by supporting the validators.

The PoW and hybrid consensus releases will be bridged and coexist. AION's coin supply will exist on both chains, so mining will continue to generate rewards into the future.

Additionally, Aion bridges between blockchain networks will have their own distinct network of validators and fee distribution structures.
