Full home solar i all most don't pay any thing for Electricity i love it, i can mine all most endlessly rather it's a good time or not .as long as i can stand the heat and noise, I'm gonna mine, Electricity is no issue for me .

SO I'll keep mining a way.

So Santa Claus delivered you a whole home solar power system?

Youre not fooling anyone, your power isnt free.  You just paid for it up front and have how many decades before you get ROI on it?  How much equipment will you have to replace before the ROI day comes? Hmmm

Perhaps he installed the solar panels, prior to getting into mining.  I know someone who invested money into solar power, ended up with a lot of extra and found mining, because he was trying to find something to do with that extra power.  I'm paying around 0.10kwh ... I haven't shut down my rigs at all this year, because to be honest ... Mining shitcoins to accumulate more btc is my only objective.  I look at usd value way less than I look at how much btc I can get out of whatever shitcoin I've mined.

Just waiting for winter to arrive so they can be dual purpose heaters.

They do make great space heaters! I told my wife we need a couple rigs in every room!

Wish it worked that way for me, but honestly, a six gpu 1080ti rig was heating my small home office way less adequately than a $30 dollar space heater last winter.  Furnace on at 70F.  Noise on that rig wasn't bad, but I just prefer to have all of my rigs in one room, and live a semi-normal life style outside of mining.  31 gpu's in a 12x15 room isn't bad during the winter, the room is actually cold with one intake fan and one other open window.  Indiana late spring/summer forced me to come up with a way to exhaust the heat.  The ambient room temp is about 6F above the temp of the intake air, but before I started exhausting at 3500ish cfm, that six degrees could easily climb to 20 degrees or higher.

Looks like someone already using op's photos...or vice versa?

His link opens up a page that attempts to install a fake adobe flash player.  Nice try jackass.

Their biggest issue is that they're pre-orders and aren't shipping immediately. I completely understand where they're coming from. Don't you? But, It should be a simple matter to find a situation that works for them, works for us, and works for everyone else in the community.
Well, that simple matter is called https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letter_of_credit . People routinely have been paying that way for importing the produce that haven't even grown yet. I feel weird explaining to the highly educated people what I learned as a kid from the bazaar fruit importer.

Companies do not spin up $20M worth of product on extremely limited supply chains on letters of credit. I had to front it, and I can’t front it through August with no concept of demand numbers. This was not a profit taking venture, I’m trying very hard to make sure these cards make it into the community without price gouging that was about to happen.

With out that effort, they would have continued to produce small batches and introduced heavy lead times and price increases. I took the risk off them, everyone here benefits. Simple as that.

I agree with you, but in turn, buyers take a bigger risk with little concept of expectation.  I had to dig deep to get what I now feel is my expectation.  Not saying that it's wrong, just the way it is.

I still don't understand what is the issue for Paypal... You are selling a legitimate product, your customer are purchasing it, it's legal...
What is their legal reasoning for refusing your business ?

PS : will be wiring fund on monday

Their biggest issue is that they're pre-orders and aren't shipping immediately. I completely understand where they're coming from. Don't you? But, It should be a simple matter to find a situation that works for them, works for us, and works for everyone else in the community.

My biggest issue was, it's so hard to get the right person on the phone.

So why do pre-orders?  Why not start accepting payments when you have them ready to ship?

Bitcoin's market cap and price may look so bad today but it will finally recover anytime this year. Improving its market price to 10,000$ is one of the price i've been waiting for it may be a signal that bitcoin will finally rise again to 20,000$ mark.
The idea of a bad market even with the price of bitcoin over seven thousand is simply laughable, may be you are new to the market, if you look back last year the market was no way near these valuations and yet everyone is complaining about a bad market, you cannot expect the market to go up all the time, we will have a cooling period and that is what we are seeing now and with time it will go past the all the high valuation.

Well when you do mining they are various hardwares, cloud mining and POS which you can get a bitcoin but some mining hardwares or softwares will make you hard to find because some are being virus especially links that's why you should be more knowledgeable to operate this system, well infact there is no easy way to get but if you are persevere and trust of your tools so then you can achieve what you want but the most important is the security as well.

Are you just getting up?

Lol ...  Grin ... Hasn't had his coffee yet.

There are a lot of lazy people out there who don't want to take the time to learn anything, so maybe you'll get some business.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on: June 07, 2018, 06:23:42 PM
Better regarding what? Profit? keeping network health and safe? or what?

If your question related to profit, it will depend on many things. If you are a miner, of course, PoW will suitable for you. If you can't do mining, PoS may can be your choices or may combine it would be better.

This is a post that compares between PoS, PoW and Cloud mining.

Each seems to have it's purpose and the choice varies on Coin Fundamentals, Upfront Investment, Network Hashrate, Mining Difficulty.

Cloud Mining (assuming sites like Hashflare, Genesis Mining)
* Probably the least desirable and the most risky, but if you can get a cheap contract (lifetime one) then you good in terms of returns.

POS/MN
* Proof of Stake is easiest to setup technically
* Masternode can be a pain to get working.
* For me, you need to be able to get into the coin early to see real benefits, otherwise you're competing to maintain your "network weight" all the time.
* It also requires an investment front up.
* Another aspect that is very important is that MN/POS is not flexible because once you buy into the coin, you're stuck with it until you sell it. This as opposed to hardware (maybe cloud) mining where you still have a choice afterwards.

Hardware
* Hardware is the least risky of the three options.
* You can go the ASIC or the GPU route.
* You own the hardware asset in the end. This is an underrated aspect
* Requires investment, but this is less risky than a POS investment. GPUs can do gaming if crypto fails LOL.
* The yields on hardware mining vary depending on how deep you are in and the difficulty of the blockchain. Personally, I put it as higher than POS/MN generally (except Dash and maybe Linda)
* Hardware is most flexible as you can switch the coin you want to mine (even ASICS).

Rental Based Mining (not listed as an option, assuming sites like Nicehash)
* Slightly more risky than hardware mining because of its nature (sending someone coin to mine on your behalf)
* I think more expensive than Cloud and Hardware. Could be wrong.
* More flexible than cloud/POS because you have choice of rig (and therefore algo)
* Yields a nice return on new coins (early blockchain)

Well when you do mining they are various hardwares, cloud mining and POS which you can get a bitcoin but some mining hardwares or softwares will make you hard to find because some are being virus especially links that's why you should be more knowledgeable to operate this system, well infact there is no easy way to get but if you are persevere and trust of your tools so then you can achieve what you want but the most important is the security as well.

Lol ... Wow.  I just have no words for that nonsense.

when you want to you want to be must be a large large amount and which will be difficult to one of a people

Whatever that means ...

We know you run windows since you say TDP Smiley

1070ti is 180w by default. It is still lowered a bit. It needs at least 160w to stay over 550 sol's.

No clue why you are even here.

Which part of....You dont lose ANY money until you sell for less than you have in something (AKA Mining coins, stock market, car, truck, your doll collection and even your purses. Wink

Some people only see what they can get out of it daily, which is the wrong way to look at it.  If you want to look at daily profits, go flip burgers for six dollars an hour.  You'll always know how much money is coming in.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ALLMINE INC - FPGA Cryptominer on: June 05, 2018, 12:34:01 PM
Can you please reconsider supporting windows?. The technical barrier and expense to fpga cards is quite high so anything to ease the barrier to entry would be appreciative

Using SMOS is not a barrier to entry for anyone, even if you've never used linux before.  It's actually easier and way less time consuming to set up than a windows mining rig.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I'm glad I didn't buy any more video cards, a 1080ti barley makes $1 a day on: June 03, 2018, 05:10:03 AM
Using whattomine.com :

1 1080ti = $2.20/$1.74 (revenue/after electricity. The lowest price card on newegg is 750. Thats 431 days till it pays for itself @ current price (mining Nicehash-Lyra2REv2)
1 rx580 8 gig = $1.39/$1.07. The lowest price card on newegg is 320. Thats 299 days till its paid off mining EthereumClassic.
1 1070 = $1.38/$1.10. Cheapest card on newegg is 450. Thats 409 days till paid off.

I know which one I would choose. more $$ does not equal better card for mining.

This is a remider

Whattomine calculations are based at present/todays profitability

you can't actually use this as reference on the number of days on your rig to get paid off

current difficulty and price is not the same for tomorrow, the next days/months or year

But if you wait ... And get jacked off later at a higher price on your alt, you win.  Problem is that this idiots like Digital Drug Lord (OP) and others are concerned about the daily.  No one that has any common sense is concerned about price.

Global cryptocurrency investors are showing their enormous interest on bitcoin due to bitcoins upcoming bright future. 2017 was a great year for bitcoin.Bitcoin reveals its power to the global economy.worldwide investors are funding their assets to bitcoin now.i think bitcoin will set a new benchmark on 2018.Rival merchant organizations are feel free to invest and work with bitcoin now.its just a matter of time when bitcoin will rule the global economy.
Yes, you are right all this is just a matter of time. All will be beautiful in time and we can only wait that time. I believe that one day Bitcoin can rule the global economy. Because I see the development of Bitcoin growing rapidly and Bitcoin prices will continue to be high every year. I am sure that the price of Bitcoin this year will be much higher than last year.

I agree. I think the sudden decrease of bitcoin these days is just a preparation for higher increase that's coming. If we come to think of it, this is actually a great opportunity to invest and buy bitcoin . now if some won't strike the iron while it's hot, then that will be their loss.

Or wait for the TA signals.  WHO THE FUCK CARES? LOL ... Or watch and get in on FA signals upon the rise.  I mean ... What the fuck is this post about other than bullshit?  It's pretty obvious ... Sell while you can and buy back at a lower price ... HAHAHA  Wink Grin Grin Wink

why ?

I can't say at the moment. But it's incorrect. The whole statement, not just a single part of it.

Well your buddy said it.

about ready to drop $3995, do we have any updated status on the bitstreams software and availability? Ready to go yet? or is adequate cooling still a hurdle for the VCU1525?

Excited to dabble in the hardware and setting this up, but scared to drop $3995, hoping we have some members running and working with theirs! I guess the product arrival is 30 days out still once order is placed?

thx

I will receive my cards in a few days and post tests, photos, videos and results.

Well that will be very interesting to see indeed! What i dont get is that the developer of the bitstream cant do the same if it is ready to use?
He did say that he wanted to fine tune it first to not show wrong numbers though some time ago i think.

Yeah, my perspective is anyone posting numbers of an incomplete project is more interested in bragging rights than real results.

You said that already  Grin

It's not all about TA, but if you're looking at that, we're in for a bumpy next few months.  Hoping not to dip much below 5k.

For the next years, im sure Bitcoin's price will be a bit higher compared the current ATH, and not everyone are able to afford to buy.

LOL ... WRONG!  The minimum isn't 1.  Where the fuck have you been for the past several years?   Grin Grin Grin
