201  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Lakefront property for sale, bitcoin accepted on: November 27, 2013, 06:16:40 PM
Don't mean to spam, but also selling Chicago Gold Coast Condo:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=349197.0

I'm a licensed real estate broker in Illinois, so this would be a legit, legally-backed transaction. My reputation and license is on the line.
202  Economy / Marketplace / IL Licensed Chicago Owner Wants To Sell Luxury Gold Coast Condo W/ Lake Views on: November 27, 2013, 06:10:19 PM
Hi, I'm a licensed broker in the state of Illinois and wish to sell my Condo. No fraud, no bogus. We would meet in person, hire the right attorneys, title agency representatives, and would have a formal legally-backed closing. I know some of you are sitting on a bunch of coins that you paid very little for, so not a bad time to offload some on a more stable investment especially at such a price.

Yes, below are very similar properties, in the same building, with the same 2 bedroom/2bathroom tier/layout [03-04], sold, in the last 5-11 months.

#1 03/2013, Sold for $348,  , no parking*
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-pMkZmE33DMNmR6WjhkcXdrQmM/edit?usp=sharing

#2 08/2013, Sold for $385, 1 parking spot
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-pMkZmE33DMTjJUUXZhbGlqcGc/edit?usp=sharing
http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/111-W-Maple-St-APT-1903-Chicago-IL-60610/54536303_zpid/

#3 05/2013, Sold for $397, 1 parking spot
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-pMkZmE33DMaTIxYTFUZ3MzbmM/edit?usp=sharing
** http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/111-W-Maple-St-APT-2603-Chicago-IL-60610/54536230_zpid/
**Building is built 1991 (Zillow has a typo in this unit for some reason).

*Keep in mind the subject property includes 1 parking spot, and parking spots in the area go for $25-40k.
So, add $30k to the first property (to adjust for parking), and you have $378k, $385k, and $397k. So the average is about $387k.

The condition is very good, similar to number #2, #3 (http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/111-W-Maple-St-APT-1903-Chicago-IL-60610/54536303_zpid/). It has an open kitchen, while many units in the building with this tier[03-04]/layout have a closed kitchen. It has beautiful city and lake views.

This is in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago, one of the, if not the most affluent neighborhoods in Chicago with stable real estate growth. When the housing crisis hit, properties in Gold Coast managed to retain values pretty well. Would need to convert $250k worth to fiat to pay off the mortgage and the rest in Bitcoin.

EDIT: Putting this out on the market next month and need it sold by October 1st. I'm no longer doing the exchange rate risk, just direct BTC at the Bitstamp price. Looking to get 770 BTC (assuming a Bitstamp price of $500 each).

I saw 2 Jupiters sell for over $22k on eBay. How? Is that legit? I have a pretty good eBay history, you think I could get $20k+ for my Jupiter? I'd even include the free hosting (currently being hosted by KNC in Sweden).

Be careful about selling a hosted miner on ebay. If there is no record of a shipped product ebay might reverse the payment. You could probably regain control of the miner but might lose several days of mining due to an unscrupulous buyer.

Hmm, any way around this issue? Other than holding the bitcoins mined until 45 day deadline passes? Probably not acceptable to most buyers. I suppose I can just see if KnC can ship it to the customer direct.

Probably its to late to ask such questions  Cool

I suppose you're right. Let them focus on getting the job done at this point. Still, if they can whip out some names of their "top" engineers, that'd be an interesting read. They seem to have the entrepreneurial vision & spirit, but without the engineers, we're all screwed. I hope they're not a bunch of rookies...

CEO: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/eduardo-decastro/0/a/852

Not trying to troll, but it'd be more re-assuring to see some kind of a history on the CEO. What credentials does he have? Simon's got one:
http://www.linkedin.com/in/simonresume?trk=pub-pbmap

I guess both Simon & Eduardo founded Devicescape - http://devicescape.com/
Don't have much else. Seems like these guys are entrepreneurs, and good at that, but who are the ASIC engineers of the operation? Seems like Simon has an engineering background, but I don't see too much ASIC experience.

Simon's linked in says "I have experience working with hardware design, ASIC, FPGAs and microcontrollers. Building crypto accelerators, video accelerators and interfacing with the 'real world'." Elaborate?

Also, he says "hired team of world class ASIC front end designers". Who are these World Class ASIC front end designers? Let us know please.

What do you all figure the probability that HashFast WILL deliver by December 31st? I'm thinking around 70% chance. If they had some pictures of wafers/silicon, I'd think higher.
209  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 07, 2013, 10:28:52 PM
Can someone please confirm: if we get 4x the hashing power AND we also ordered the Baby Jet Upgrade, the Upgrade is for the original Baby Jet, right? And is the 4x hashing power some separate chips, which would then require an additional (~1k) investment for the kit to assemble it all?
210  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 05, 2013, 08:00:32 PM
Patiently waiting until Nov 15th. Better have some good news then.
211  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: October 31, 2013, 04:01:15 PM
If refunds are granted for pre-Aug 15 Batch 1 customers, does it include the option to refund the Upgrade modules as well for those that purchased them?
212  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: October 25, 2013, 11:12:04 PM

So they didn't bother to respect their own terms about posting photos, they ignored the many users who demanded ANY KIND of proof and you think they will reply to you with proof? Man...you are really naive.

Thank you jimrome for the found post!

Well, maybe cuz I'm not a dick to them when I e-mail them and am polite. And what a surprise! I e-mailed them today, and at least they posted a picture update. "ANY KIND of proof" Anyways, I digress.

Anyone know what to do when a miner is in "PENDING" status for a KNCMiner Pool Hosting account? Would it help to "reconfigure" it, I'm thinking it may restart the functionality. Will tip some BTC for a working solution.
214  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KnCMiner list of orders - October delivery on: October 25, 2013, 07:06:46 PM
AFOX, can you change mine to Hosting, I'm a hosting customer. THanks.
215  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: October 25, 2013, 06:59:29 PM
Cedivad, out of curiosity, are you demanding a refund in original Bitcoin amount, assuming you paid in Bitcoin, or the FIAT amount?
216  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: October 25, 2013, 06:56:58 PM

@yuriygeorge Why do you talk without information? KNC did post a picture of their chips right after they had them in hand and they also post PCBs BEFORE they had the chips in hand. I don't see HF posting any picture yet.

True: KNC posted the PCB pics August 21st, good point. (https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-30). I've e-mailed HashFast about their PCB progress/pics. Will follow up if they respond. Thanks for correcting me.

My bad, you're right, they did post the pics:

September 30th:

September 30th:

They promised in September, and gave us pics September 30th, delivered in October. Hashfast promised late October, no pics yet, hopefully early November. Let's get some pics, I agree. But still to soon to be making lawsuit threats and FCC filings imo.
218  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: October 25, 2013, 02:09:04 PM
KNC never posted any pictures of their chips either, just cases, and here they are hashing. (I'm hashing too, feels good). But, I have faith in HashFast as well. In fact, I have more invested in HF.
219  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: October 25, 2013, 03:35:23 AM
Seriously... you'd think you'd plan for delays and worst case scenarios. Did you really think they'd deliver Oct 20-30 with great probability? I expected delays, and to me, middle of November is a pretty average case scenario in my books. Yes, unfortunately, the difficulty has risen more than I expected for, but that's risk.

Cool your horses man with the lawsuit threats and trying to persuade people to file FCC filings. Let them do their job, stop wasting their time. I mean some pressure is good, but you're going overboard imo. They're working with TSMC for crying out loud, give them some credit.

You signed the contract, and if you're getting all emotional cuz they're not bringing it Oct 20-30, then you shouldn't be in this business imo. "Oh no, I'm gonna lose all my money." Dude this is Bitcoin, high risk shit, better be prepared to lose it all, ride the roller coaster.

P.S. I've got holdings in HF, KNC, & Cointerra.

Hosting started, logon details received! Hang in there people, have faith!
Jupiter, order 38XX, paid for July 16th.
