If this coin doesnt hit the exchanges at something insane like 0.00100000 it's not worth mining. The yield in terms of hashrate to difficulty would require a price like I noted to see an ROI.
Throwing 1 btc at this by renting some major hashpower (2 gh) for a a half day is only going to yield you a few thousand coins at best-- at best.
Not sure but I don't think people are doing their math.
Strato
We can expect dump from solo miners, not much but then price will be more stable. Not many solo miners out there have that kind of hash power. 1 gh x11 would be in the realm of 200 280x cards. 5gh would be 1000 gpus. Strato

Was the payment the correct amount? Also nice spot. Let me fix that we extended the time to 1 hour when we were moving payment processors and i must have forgotten to change it back on the other page
Ahmed
Yes it was for the correct amount. The rig was just released back for rental - so it never went through. But 3 confirms on blockchain. I'll pm you txid and refund address. Thanks!

Is BetaRigs having problems? I rented a rig, and payed, and it shows 2 confirmations on the blockchain, but still says waiting payment.
And on the rig page it says I have 18 minutes, yet on "my rigs" dashboard it says I have 48 minutes...
So....

This question is purely posted out of curiosity. The website Minergate has a feature called web mining; where simply having a browser tab open that includes the following code enables mining of one of a number of chosen Cryptonote currencies. However the speed is a fraction (reporting less than 1 h/s) of what you would get using the same number of cores via a miner such as Claymore's. Would scripting a miner like Claymore's into a code similar to the following even be possible? Perhaps if you ran it on a VPS or what not? Here is the webmining script from Minergate: <script type="text/javascript"> (function() { var w = document.createElement("iframe"); w.style.border = 'none'; w.style.width = '293px'; w.style.height = '73px'; w.src = 'http://minergate.com/wmr/mro/emailaddress%40accountuser.com/1/88rr95245d7cd44f/big/0'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0]; s.appendChild(w, s); })(); </script> Thanks! Strato That's not the actual script, and JS doesn't allow access to CPU instructions, so not really. I've used the webminer too; it delivers about 1H/s on an i5, while using all the available CPU power. What's even more interesting though, is that when you try to run it from a mobile phone (Samsung Note 3) it manages about 2-3H/s!!! I'm a bit confused, but I think that's it's a JS routine that does only the computation work and another routine takes the shares for it. Just speculating of course, I can't say for sure. The JS is completely emulated - the hashrate you get may as well be the output of a random number generator. Interesting, but Wolf0, I also noticed that while only 1 h/s is realized, the browser does in fact cause the cpu to jump accordingly. I even bound the browser to cpus, i tried 2 cpus, and it maxes out 2 cpus. So that said, it's doing something.... What though? Strato

You just keep whining and dumping. I will keep buying.
looks like dumping has stopped for now....only about 5 btc till 20k Holders are staking right now. Large holders especially. A big dump I think may be well down the road as POS started early, and the stake rewards are going to increase a lot over the next 2 days. Strato

Ninja launches are back for sure.
I mined Neutron on launch... just happened to be on the forum at the time of the op post. So I pointed my miners at it overnight.
Ended up making decent profit for just a proxy change. And I'm surprised price is actually holding on C-CEX, I actually sold some of what I mined too low.
Always a gamble, but Sling seems to be holding price well. POW is not over, and any coins mined have only started POS recently... so its likely this coin like Neutron will have a run for a while.
Cheers,

And you will likely burn up your laptop. Really. When I first started mining over a year ago I killed my GTX 570M GPU on my laptop - literally fried it. Strato

If you can't find it I have the Window's Binary I downloaded from the original post ages ago, which I am using with GTX 570s. I can ZIP and drop it for you. Getting about 220 h/s per GTX 570. Strato

New miner with a dumb question I have amd m2n32sli deluxe motherboard 3.0 ghz processor 4 gigs ram running windows 7 64 with an evga gtx 560 TI graphics card. The gpu hash rate is about 150 h/s I just went and bought a new evga gtx 970 graphics card but oddly enough it doesnt do anything.. It shows 0 h/s and eventually minergate stops responding.. No matter if i set intensity at 1 or 2,3,4.
Any ideas.
Fyi the drivers for the 560 and the 970 are the same version number from evga website
You can certainly get higher hashrates. We have systems setup with GTX 570 cards that achieve 230-240 h/s mining cryptonote using ccminer mod for compute 2.0 cards. Run 3 cards per system. Strato

From what I understand, and some of this info dates back from recent, to 2 months to back around Thanksgiving, is that yes the coin has been essentially abandoned by the Dev.
An initial investor on the ICO, who from what I last heard still owns a sizable stake (large overall %) of the supply -- and I'd assume no doubt those coins are likely held in Bittrex off market (not on charts).
I dont want to name names and get caught in a hell-storm so I'll just leave it at that. I haven't been paying much attention lately in the Alts Dept- so if theres movement on this coin it may, and very likely is, manipulation by the large ICO investors who own huge amounts of the coin.
With the Dev gone and off on a new project, there wont be any updates, thus the coin will trade sideways and slowly to zero. Or get delisted due to low/no volume. If Bittrex delists, which its been doing to low volume cryptos, exiting any sizable position will be impossible.
Id say just be wary, as any pump in price would in my eyes be manipulation by stakeholders to simply dump their shares and move on.

The price will double at minimum and miners will remain profitable.
I'd wager the difficulty halving would be far more likely. Perhaps they will meet in the middle. Strato
