201  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 13, 2014, 09:16:23 PM
Lots of tiny amounts going in a wallet can be a problem when you try to spend.
I haven't had any issue with tiny amounts in the past.

Obviously, it depends on how many and how tiny the amounts are.

The one time I encountered it, I was sending a payment to a seller on Bitmit from a blockchain.info wallet. I got a message to the effect "due to many small amounts in your wallet the tx fee would have to be increased". It also took longer than normal to get confirmed. I don't use blockchain.info anymore and I haven't spent much since Bitmit closed down. I do know there is much discussion about tx size though, including a minimum.

"About a week ago, lead Bitcoin developer Gavin Andresen quietly introduced a patch that would add a fairly significant change to the transaction propagation rules: any transaction with any of its outputs less than 5430 satoshis (0.00005430 BTC) would be classified as non-standard, and will not be included or further propagated across the network by default miners. The minimum is a setting that individual miners are free to change (including to zero), and such transactions will remain valid under the rules of the Bitcoin protocol, but with only non-standard miners and miners that bother to change default settings including them in blocks and even passing them along to other nodes it will take much longer for them to get accepted (ie. “confirmed”) by the Bitcoin blockchain."

http://bitcoinmagazine.com/4465/bitcoin-developers-adding-0-007-minimum-transaction-output-size/

That's over a year old and TX Fees have significant;y decreased since then anywat.

Hmmm... did you supply the Pimp guys with a turbo version? I need to o/c my card in Windows madly to reach the same speed as my miner running pimp on X13... Did I miss anything??
What's your speed difference on what cards?

Still learning about things and how they work and from what I understand now with the changes smaller amounts will be paid more frequently.

I am sure this is fine for some but for smaller miners like myself is there a way to change the payment threshold to make it higher so there will be less fees involved in transferring such small amounts?

I know the pool owner pays those fees but I just had a small transfer of 0.00223289 and 0.00012070 and 0.00096557. There is a 0.00010000 fee which seems like it will add up over time with many small payments. I would rather BAN save that mount rather than my wallet get each time.

Thanks

The TX fees from the pool are paid in a lump by S0br, you will not have any fees yourself until you move the funds from that wallet, so the small TX's have no effect on your wallet.

any update on stuck balances
I would also like to know if there is any update on stuck balances, havent seen any replies yet.
Is this not good enough?

Not really since my balance is stuck the last 3 days, except if the pool for the last 3 days is only getting orphaned blocks...
Orphans happen all the time on fast coins. But if the balances are stuck for 3 days, probably some manual coins are in  there
I know they happen often but unless ALL blocks the last 3 days are orphans then my account shouldn't have everything stuck, not to mention except from some unexchanged everything else gets exchanged normally, it just isn't making the payment and yes I am over the daily required amount for a payout. Anyway I assume the pool owners will respond some time or at least fix the issue.
Based on the address you PM'd me, you earned enough yesterday to put you over the threshold, but it had not hit before the payout time. You'll receive a payment today.
Also, unexchaged balances will continue to grow as long as you are mining here.

Here is the first send for half up front   https://blockchain.info/tx/c2ecec3f5918890af9ef28717e77f15965cf7a29fa5c6be2f4256ea4b1059cf5

Here is the second transaction for the the half upon receipt. https://blockchain.info/tx/3d46a1856192451233cbb974fd91ed3b085359ba652781fa4c876d084b578a27

Here is for where he ripped me off - https://blockchain.info/tx/997a661de8175d7ed9417cfbb677233cd63fd405d3712c662074c9630405470d

When I first posted the transactions, I just wanted to keep some information from all to see which now that I look back makes me look like a shill for this guy. Here is all the info. If anyone wants to see the PM's between myself and ihaveafuckinggun, PM me and I will send you a pdf of the conversations.

How did he rip you off?
And why did you send over $200 for the first half? If he was selling them at $200, then you sent him more than he asked for in the first half alone!
Those transactions don't seem to back what you're saying.

His first TX was not over $200.

TX1: BTC0.1611 went to the OP and BTC0.238 went back to him as "change"
TX2: BTC0.1709 went to the OP and BTC0.276 was "change"

Op was probably trying to get a vouch and then never reply again once orders came in. Sad thing is that he is still active on the forum trying to scam other people.

FYI: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=717988.msg8112733#msg8112733

Definitely needs to be sent some negative trust!

He Guys,

Been trying to get the best out of my 280x cards.
Updated to catalyst 14 and using the newest sgminer from this thread.

but.. not getting it higher than 3.150M with each card mining X11.
Anybody some good advice / good config for 280x card?

Did you delete your old .bin files after upgrading your catalyst?
I assume you upgraded to 14.6 or 14.7 and not 14.3

Yes. i have 14.4
That much difference?
Try the 14.6 Beta, I'm getting 3.6MH on my 7950's. Also, I'm using the Nicehash 8-4 daily Sgminer 5.

EDIT: X11 Speed^^

Are you running Windows, PiMP or BAMT?
