201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To quit gambling is to quit yourself on: June 27, 2018, 06:48:36 PM
Base on my experience ot is really hard to quit gambling specially when you are already used to it, before my parents will get mad at me becauase I forgot my responaibility as a mom also they sees me almost broke because of being addicted in gambling. One day I realize to quit gambling and I really want to do it so by the help of my love ones and determination to change I now stop or quit in gambling .
You still can be a responsible family member while doing gambling it is all about having limits managing our daily life. But most of the people will fall entirely into gambling which results addiction so if you can't limit it then better stop it.
The falling entirely into become an addict is where the problem actually lies and the fact is that virtually everyone that just keeps gambling with what they could have used into doing something tangible and they still keep losing are actually their own problem. Definitely, things like this will affect the people that are married and as long as that is in play, that is a huge act of irresponsibility on such a person's part and like you said, for those who simply cannot control themselves, it is better to stop than get extremely engrossed in it.
202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories! on: June 27, 2018, 10:22:23 AM
I was out of gambling for a while because of my emotional gambling nature.
I try to do sports betting as mathematical as possible but often I get overwhelmed by loss.
I had decided not to bet above $100 on any bet.
Germany being my favorite team, I put a $500 bet against Mexico, which I lost.
That increased my frustration and I came to bet $1000 on portugal. And to my luck I won it at 1.65 odds.
But if I would have lost, I would have been cashless and betless for the rest of world cup.
That was a huge risk to take and simply that is what gambling always end up doing to a lot of people as they want to simply recover their loss which was exactly what you just did but fortunately for you, you ended up getting lucky.

It starts just like that until you keep betting more and losing more and setting the odds even the more against yourself. It is better to stick to reality and know that the outcome could come out negative, and rather than get emotional, stick with that fact and move on.
203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is best practice for gambling?? on: June 27, 2018, 07:36:08 AM
May anyone tell me what is the best practice for gambling with little investment? I have no so much experiance about it.Any suggestion or advice.
Not to gamble at all (anymore) is the best worked for me.
That has actually worked for a lot of people, lol. Some made the mistake to think that gambling is an investment where they can be making some consistent profit and I wonder where they want to place the gambling platform owners.

Gambling is just a game of luck with a huge chance of losing a lot and anyone trying it out may have to keep that at the back of their mind so as not to get so overwhelmed with winning or losing and end up losing themselves totally into it. Better to stay away than to get the wrong impression and get addicted to gambling.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler's mindset! on: June 26, 2018, 06:09:32 PM
spending a small fortune, and hoping to earn a lot of money. that's the gamblers' main mindset, they hope to bring in a little capital and get a lot of wins. but sometimes lose is also unavoidable.
Well, in a way, that can actually work as long as you are not going above your small fortune and you are still able to control yourself. I do not gamble much but I spend so little weekly playing lottery and that is as little as something I would not even blink an eye about if I lose.

I let this mentality kick in with the hope that one day even with this little, who knows, I may actually win something and even if I do not, it is the way things are and nothing actually changes.
Playing lottery sounds something safe to me because even you win or lose, you will not become an addict because you don’t have much surprising outcomes in it and you also don’t play by yourself so it has very little fun in it. Yeah! It depends upon your luck and if you will be lucky sometime, you would get bigger surprises and even if you lose, no need to worry about the losses.
A whole lot safe as most of the time I simply do not have to put in so much knowing that the chances of winning anyway is just so minute and that simply would keep anyone in check. Gambling in general is all about luck, it is just the emotion and mindset a lot of people attach to it that makes it becomes terrible for them.

The best mindset to have as a gambler is to know that the possibility of winning is low even as much as you would have loved to and this simply helps to keep anyone in check if they start going the wrong lane.
205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think the price of BTC will drop to 4000 dollars? on: June 26, 2018, 04:50:43 PM
Unfortunately i think it is possible that the price of Bitcoin goes down to much lower prices. Nobody can fully and precisely predict the bitcoin prices but market will rise when new investor and new money comes.
Yeah, nothing is predictable as it is right now and the price can turn to any angle at all. There is going to be some support at $5000 and I am eagerly looking forward to the price action here anyway but that might actually be just for the short term and nothing too serious as the move may just get towards $7500 and we will be lucky if it even gets close to $10000 before we see the continuation of the downtrend, but until then, I guess we will have to wait and see how things will turn out.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin leaves. Who would benefit?? ETC is my bet on: June 26, 2018, 10:48:34 AM
I do not think that vitalk will leave, they are already working on big upgrades and solutions for the scalability and massive adoption of eth, i think future value for eth will be huge, even if vitalik leaves this will crash the eth price for short term but then again the price will bounce back.
I am sure even the OP is just saying that out of assumption and not a possibility because there is simply nothing that would make Vitalik drop his own boat for anything at this point of development when things are even getting rosy for the project. It is widely being used and getting huge support by the day, things are fundamentally going well for it, and that makes it impossible.

If we are to assume something like that happening, I would not be surprised that attention will shift to ETC but that would be in a scenario where there is no more development whatsoever on Ethereum protocol and everything looks dead.
207  Economy / Economics / Re: When is the best time of the day to study about Economics? on: June 26, 2018, 07:44:36 AM
I think the best time to study or memorize anything is 5-6 at the morning before starting a day. Usually when I have to memorize anything I wake up at these times take a shower and start studying comapred to my other experiences this time of the day is the most efficient.
Memorizing is not even a good thing and that is one of the reasons you will see some people coming out with flying colors and find it hard to blend in working environment or apply what they have learned since they simply could not understand what they did learn, but only memorized to pass and get out of the schooling environment with good grades.

Life does not end at schools. Time of the day to read however, is dependent, for someone like me, I thrive when it comes to reading more at night since everywhere is damn quiet and I find it easy to assimilate during this period, but what works for me, may not work for someone else.
208  Economy / Economics / Re: When the government forbids cryptocurrency on: June 25, 2018, 07:57:51 PM
If your government has banned Cryptocurrency, then from now on you have to sell all your coins, and exchange with fiat money in effect. this is very du pity, but as a good citizen. you must comply with the rules made in your country.
There is no point, if I have enough in such a country, they really do not deserve my presence, and I would rather relocate to places where they embrace it and rather utilize what I have to set up something for myself.

It is better to help an economy that is willing to ensure the growth of the citizens while still benefiting from it, than a country (whether it is mine or not) that does not have any best interest of the citizens at heart and still want to block every available means of survival or growth for them in a way. That is just more like intentionally making citizens want to suffer so as to keep up with their intimidation.
209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoin price based on bitcoin price? on: June 25, 2018, 07:19:16 PM
Nowadays, often we have noticed the thing is changing. Sometime some alts rise quite high even when BTC falls. I agree with many who wrote, "it will change". Things are already changing and as months are passing by people will more understand the system and things will gradually become better. Traders I guess just fear the fall of BTC and it frightens them to sell off their alts as well. This are changing, being in various trading groups I see people re changing. They trade in altcoins more when BTC is falling.
Yeah, things are gradually beginning to change and things would even change better when we start seeing some coins and tokens with prospect having real life usage as this would make it easy for them to be able to get their own demand and support to bring about its increase in value.

Till now we know the market is more driven by speculation which is why it is so easy to see the market react quickly to bitcoin movement but nothing in this life will ever remain the same, most especially as it gets more matured.
210  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Loss Trading on: June 25, 2018, 05:03:43 PM
Hey everyone.  Do any of you professional traders out there have advice on the best situations to use stop-loss in a trade?  It would be much appreciated.

ricseb

Whenever I think the market may be down Then I gave stop loss. When the Bitcoin is pumping, the altcoins are likely to be dumping.Altcoins are pump when bitcoin stable.Stop loss will generally use 10%-15%.
Placing of stop loss is the ability to identify support and resistances. It is normal for coins or tokens to bounce from a support and show some reversal sign or price action to buy at that support, but below that support is where anyone wants to be stopping loss as that gives it more room to go try the next one just in case it breaks the previous one. Nothing is certain in the market and that is where the stop loss comes in handy most of the time.
211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC and PSYCHOLOGY on: June 25, 2018, 01:25:56 PM
I do not know if all those who say they are not influenced by emotions,  really manage to be lucid when they see their capital disappear.
Sincerely, I can keep some control, but sometimes I suffer panic attacks that are really difficult to manage.
Sometimes I wonder if the gain (presumed ...) justifies the  stress   Sad
Emotions come into play when you simply do not have any knowledge on trading and you are just gambling the market.
I guess where the problem starts is from trying to gamble your position in the market without any solid signal to make a move and that is what makes the difference between a skilled professional traders to a new investor who is just busy playing with the market.

Capital management is also one of those things that we always need to consider most of the time when trading the market.
212  Economy / Economics / Re: How to cope up with the falling prices? on: June 24, 2018, 05:15:18 PM
As far as i know ,we have no specific timeline where one can pinpoint  the best way to accumulate token, because of its words volatility in the crypto market, therefore we only cope the falling situation now  by means of patience and observing the movement of all crypto coins in the market caps, especially if you are a traders in this kind of investment and by means of this method we could anticipate of what is the correct decision of what should we do to our  crypto investment.
There is always some time one can look forward to and most of it usually is the period in which it is extremely below ICO price with a very low volume and most especially when it is a very good project with prospect just being affected by the market movement while currently being listed.

Anyone who is smart will always know what to always do at moments like this and you would not need a soothsayer to tell you that piling up during this period means a lot when the market fully recovers.
213  Economy / Economics / Re: A small village strengthening it's Economy by cryptocurrencies. on: June 24, 2018, 03:46:11 PM
A small japanese village named, Nishiawakura is making their economy much more beneficial with the help of cryptocurrencies by launching a Initial Coin Offering. I think it is a best way to help some small villages to grow up with really good profits and also it might bring the cryptocurrencies some more close to legalisation.

The village is home of approximately 1500 villagers and and they unveiled their plans to launch a regional initial coin offering.
Report by coindesk https://www.coindesk.com/japanese-village-to-launch-nations-first-municipal-ico/

This is a perfect head start and i hope that several such villages can soon adapt this strategy to strengthen their economy
It is a brilliant move, but we also have to understand the usage of the fund, how the small village intends to make it beneficial for her and some other factors as well. On the other hand, it is an interesting thing to see how the cryptocurrency space is evolving by the day and how each government is trying to see ways in which they can benefit hugely from it.

One way or the other, we are moving higher and this is just a start. I really still would not mind trying to get more details on this anyway as nothing much was stated.
214  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency wallets: Can they be hacked?? on: June 23, 2018, 05:24:30 PM
Well it could be possible because these wallets are just being made and it could be decrypted for those who are familiar with the technicalities of digital wallet. Even the  most reliable digital wallet could be hack but there are only few people could do it and there is no way for us to get into it as an average individual who only know how to operate computer then it could be hard to hack digital wallet.
It is hard to do so but not impossible. Believe me this would become so easy if you are allowing them to get your password so easily. Look there are some best practices that must be followed to make everything good and secure related to your account and bitcoin. But what if they are vulnerable and easy to attack? Then you must equip yourself with more secure and safe practices.
Yeah, since hacking is just the process anyway, so at the end, whichever way the hackers end up getting the password to your centralized account or your private key or seed, then at the end, it is still hacked. However, this is the reason why beefing up the security of one's account and trying to stay as secured as possible is highly necessary.

We obviously cannot expect to leave our accounts vulnerable and not end up getting screwed by hackers.
215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Excuses on: June 23, 2018, 12:56:28 PM
Did you ever gamble with other's money to pay your own debts or otherwise to solve a certain problem through gambling?

NO I have never gambled with another person's money, that is just irresponsible to say the least!
There have been times when I have suggested to people with extra money to make specific investments, but thats the extent of gambling with someone else's money.

Of course no one should really gamble with other's money because the risk is too big. But for addicted gamblers, they are willing to take that risk because they are already blinded and their decision is clouded. They also think that they can win at gambling and don't care if  the money is borrowed from someone. But the whole situation will change after they have lost, and will try to borrow again just to continue and recoup their losses and think that gambling will solve all their money problems.
That is going to be like jumping from frying pan into fire. Gambling itself is a huge risk as even with your own money, there is no guarantee of winning and 95% of the time, you are going to be losing anyway unless you are just some highly lucky son of a man. Let alone, trying to use someone else's money to gamble with the hope of doubling it ?

Anyone who thinks like that should actually be sent to a rehabilitation center immediately as people like that sure need help since they can no longer use their head on their own.
216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some unique advantages of online gambling ? on: June 21, 2018, 11:31:48 AM
I don't know about advantages but there is one huge disadvantage (at least in our opinion) and it is the fact that when you don't see the money you bet you don't feel that you are putting your money on the line and it feels more like a casual game. When you bet live you can actually see what you bet. You feel the money and you are more aware of the risks. At home you just press a button numerous times and your bank account goes down. It has it's advantages but you should always look the both sides of the coin.
In my opinion the advantages of online gambling are , not going to anywhere you can gamble from your home, use many gambling options than traditional gambling, easy payments and receipts, no fear of robbing and looting and shooting. But inspite of all these advantages I admit online gambling is not good at all compare to traditional gambling.
Yes, that is one way to put it and in that case, you can stay out of the light without a single soul ever knowing that you gamble except you tell them of course.

For the idea of being paid most especially with cryptocurrency gambling, it has made things easy for most gamblers since this becomes a deal directly with you and the casino without a third party involvement and these advantages are very unique when it comes to online gambling.
217  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance about to offer Fiat-Crypto Trading. on: June 21, 2018, 08:13:51 AM
I think the more competition is going on the better and more comfortable service would they provide For us to use their platform
Competition has over the years always been a good thing and there is no doubt it would usher in a lot of growth for the space.

As long as some exchanges keep doing it better and getting huge volume, those who are far behind will keep looking for ways in which they can get to do it better to at least create some attention to them as well. No one would want to end up losing out big as an exchange in the long run due to just staying in their comfort zone.
218  Economy / Speculation / Re: What kind of price movement do you want for Bitcoin? on: June 21, 2018, 04:18:24 AM
I'd like the price to increase but not at a rapid rate like in 2017. I'd be happy if the price can move to maybe 10-12k this year and back towards 20k by the end of 2019. Really any extreme growth is just going to make the market toxic with a lot of uneducated money looking for quick riches.
In as much as rapid increase can be good, it brings a wrong mentality into the market and with everyone having the idea of just wanting to get rich quickly from the fast movement in value, bitcoin becomes even more speculative than it is already right now. Steady growth is always the best and one that is sustainable for long and even though trends can always reverse, it helps a lot to build strong support and would not always be something falling rapidly.
219  Economy / Economics / Re: How to cope up with the falling prices? on: June 20, 2018, 06:48:49 PM
Hey it's quite easy: hold.

Take a chart of price of the last 2 years and dezoom a bit.
You will see how incredible the highs and downs are. Price can increase or fall by 10% in a day.
Don't think about your loss, as long as you haven'ty sold you haven't lost anything!
The most important thing is to get in at least during moments like this when the market is correcting deeply and use it as an advantage to invest but even at that, not getting greedy and putting everything all at once is necessary.
In this way, any investor can easily go with their other activities and come back in years’ time to see how far their investment has really grown and in this way it makes things a lot easier without having to panic all through the short term fluctuation of the value.
220  Economy / Economics / Re: What i believe will come on: June 20, 2018, 06:07:14 PM
Despite the fact that no one knows the future, I still do not see any way banks are going to end up disappearing as that sounds to me like something that can never become a reality. Banks have been there for years and one way or the other; they still serve a very good purpose even though their activities have been more of the selfish one.

Nevertheless, over time banks will get to find a way to fill into the space and be able to benefit from it, and just like we have exchanges today, so is the same way we are going to end up having banks.
