The sharexcoin push was really because we thought the exchange had potential. Still hard to believe, same as you was confident in its potential. sadly got quite burned. Ouch. Im just reading back now a bit about DIEM> Bittrex is your best bet, HUGE day-traders exchange

OK.....
I think we need to address some things here to take this coin forward.
Firstly and MOST importantly, Who are the DEV team and what exactly are they doing to progress this coin?
What is the date of the algo change to POS?
When is the release of the MAC/Android Wallet?
What is the status of Coinpayments?
Where are you with the Summer in New York Promotion?
What are you doing about the Airdrop? For weeks you have been announcing the Airdrop will take place on 4 July but in post 185 you are asking for other people to do the work for you.
I am not a DEV but I can help with the promotion of this coin but I need all of the details first. Please PM me if you would like my help.
These are basic things the community needs to know; they have been asked before but never answered.
The DEVs need to take responsibility for the technical side of the coin and either hire someone for PR or do it themselves.
They need their official releases proof read by a native English speaking human, not Google Translate.
This coin has potential but cannot be taken seriously unless it has proper support, The NYC Foundation needs to communicate with the community and share its plans for the coin. At the moment the community has nothing to promote.
My simple suggestions for the coin are:
Cap the amount of coins, 100Billion is a ridiculous amount of coins. Adjust the coin limit to end in about a month and change to POS. Get the MAC/Android wallets out. Update the QT or make a GUI Wallet. Approach Bittrex (big day-trading exchange) Hire someone to do your PR if you can’t do it yourselves, Promotions and giveaways ALLWAYS sell coins. Get yourselves ready for the Airdrop on the 4 July, You’ve been hammering it on Twitter and you will look like fools if you don’t do it.
Innovation is key to success here and you are way behind the curve but that doesn’t mean you can’t still adapt and compete.
Once again, if you need help, PM me.
Good luck

They were here an hour ago, This coin went off line yesterday.
You will be able to tell soon if they are actually DEVs or copy and pasters.

Thanks,
Im sure Bittrex would pick this coin up if there was some active/constructive comments on here and Twitter.
At the moment all you have is a basic coin with no features, no promotion just like 100s of others.
Promotion and DEV activity is key here.

This coin has been suspended on Bittrex, I guess due to the Fork. Any info on the ETA of a fix?

. In short, the currency used by people and not animals.
And New York is the largest financial center in the world where people are constantly working with the largest amount of money (including currency) and make real money on this.
Furthermore, even the official number of city residents and suburbs NY outnumber people in many European countries.
That is why the idea of the founders of the fund and support the NYC is promising. All brilliant - easy.
You can read a little more - http://www.newyorkco.in/, http://www.newyorkco.in/news/Still too much copy and paste and not enough real promotion. When was the last Tweet that didnt say "AIRDROP" This coin will get picked up if there is promotion but it will continue to get laughed at if all people do is post "WOW" & "TO THE MOON"

Is Multibit still a good option for a hot wallet?
I use it and have never had any problems.

Seems like everyone here wants this coin to succeed because they hold loads, I personally hold millions as i mined at the start. This is a classic example of laziness, I’m guilty of it too. You just wait for someone else to do the promotion work for you. All I see at the moment is the foundation?!? Spamming their own thread with pictures and claims that are barely readable. This is a great example! hi all! please vote for bter.com - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=502363.1000, the more votes the faster we will trade on a good exchange, and thus more likely to be higher than the rate of our coins. I will be grateful to all who respond!
active guys please! it is in our interest! all spit!
GOOD MY FRIENDS!!!
do not forget to vote https://www.mintpal.com/voting and https://www.swisscex.com/voting
VOTE NYC ON CRYPTSY https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes/
*****HOLD your coins, do not sell for 1 satoshi! Wait for the Android/IOS wallet, give yourserlf a chance!
While a lot of people were laughing about DOGE, some smart guys mined millions per day, a few weeks later was around 300 sat.
Grab some millions and wait!**** Another is “AIRDROP….AIRDROP….AIRDROP” 5 times a day on twitter. We all know how well Airdrops are perceived by the altcoin community. We may as well say there is no DEV going on with coin so we are going to force it on you. I we want to push this coin we need: The algo change to POS An ANON feature Technical discussions on this thread Positive (not spam) Publicity on social media The first three admittedly we cant do a lot about, that is the DEVs responsibility but promotion is the responsibility of the community. Look at the PinkCoin revival, that went from a premined colour coin to 200sats in a week through active DEV support and positive community action. It takes 30 seconds to @newyorkcoinNYC #NYC @BTC and you have reached thousands of people. Lets face it we are all on twitter anyway. I will actively try to promote this in the trading community, not by forcing it on them but slowly making them aware of the coin. Start this weekend with one tweet @newyorkcoinNYC #NYC @BTC and see what happens, maybe nothing but maybe everything. Rgds Ratters

As a side note, is anyone based in the UK interested in becoming a trustee of The Carboncoin Trust? Please contact me if so - we are looking to have the charity formed in the coming weeks which will involve a meetup in london to firm up on the governing document.
Morning mate, I'm in the UK. What do you need?

I pondered this in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622253.msg6895575#msg6895575The system i was thinking about was a simple pull with 2factor auth. Take a festival or holiday resort for instance, Client arrives and charges up a QR wristband with BTC, pays for food/goods by showing QR to the merchant. Confirms the price of the goods and enters password/pin into the merchants scanner. goods paid/done. It alleviates the need to carry cash, cards or phone & with the 2factor auth its as safe as using a CC. That could work very well for night clubs etc. as well. When you order drinks they simply scan your qr bracelet. For these scenarios this system would be ideal, low value/high frequency transactions.

Can anyone explain this coin staking thing please, random amounts keep moving in my wallet!
It holds your coins in "STAKE" for some time, than you get mined some coins, and returned stake to ballance with some +%PC. Thanks, Still magic though!
