201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Death Penalty to ICO Scammers! Are you favor it? on: April 14, 2019, 09:07:28 PM
Death penalty is too cruel to say the least. I am of the opinion that jail term should be enacted and enforced on individuals who think cryptocurrency offers the best opportunity to dupe unsuspecting individuals because its decentralized and obscure.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How the EU and 5 European Nations Regulate Cryptocurrency on: April 14, 2019, 09:02:59 PM
I don't think there is any county in existence that is still able to regulate crypto, how can you regulate a market that is decentralized and owned by no one and also cannot be controlled by anyone, this is the main reason why I love a decentralized platform, the government might only be able to control the exchanges and this is not all exchanges in existence because we have decentralized exchange that can't be controlled even by those who created it.

You are really right. It is near difficult to do. China that has a ban on Cryptocurrency has 60 percent of its citizens contributing directly and indirectly to cryptocurrency. Even most of my clients are Chinese men buying cheap btc from African black markets. But then, that is the whole essence of crypto and blockchain. Zero existence of central control
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I need some Altcoin to hold longterm :D on: April 14, 2019, 08:56:48 PM
Hi everyone,
Im a newbie, i just known about Bitcoin in 1 month. I decided to spend my money that i have saved for a long time in Bitcoin. Please tell me some name of Altcoin, i want hold it until i marry.

Thanks for all response

Go get Veil  I must advise, its a new Privacy coin built on bitcoin core and uses zerocoin protocol to anonymize transactions. I reckon it will be in high demand because of its flexibility and ease in use even from a GPU computer
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is growing. Someone's pouring money into it. on: April 14, 2019, 08:51:54 PM
After its consolidation at over $160 and by understudying the growth margin in the past few weeks, one can deduce evidently that cryptocurrency and Ethereum are witnessing some form of acceptance by whales from centralized world
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I'm now accumulating 15 altcoins, what do you think? on: April 13, 2019, 08:08:15 PM
I believe you have done due diligent research on these before coming to this agreement. I am more interested in bnb coin, ppt (its first exchange to be launched soon and tezos which is fast gaining recognition. For new coins, I consider, Veil, cpt, top as my favourite choice
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on android phone on: April 13, 2019, 07:47:20 PM
Majority of newbies learnt bitcoin, ltc, doge and Ethereum can be mined using an android phone but it's a farce. What is obtainable is through cloud mining system through a faucet that is mostly useless. The best bet is to get any good antminer version and begin, of you have cheap and stable electricity

209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cypherpunk calls out Mark Zuckerberg on: April 12, 2019, 09:08:48 PM
Mark recently wrote a letter discussing his focus on installing end to end encryption of private messages between a user on Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and Facebook. What people don't understand is end to end encryption does not mean privacy.

Longtime cypherpunk David Chaum, who is known for his invention of Digicash and mentioned inthe Bitcoin whitepaper decided to call Mark out on what true privacy meant and how he intends to bring his latest invention Elixxir to the world.

Elixxir digital payments platform will not only offer end to end encryption for users but will obscure metadata from the transaction.

https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/david-chaums-elixxir-blockchain-launches-betanet-of-the-metadata-privacy-protecting-platform/

I don't know what to make of this, it is like a dilemma because crypto need more exposure and with more than 1 billion facebook users having access to crypto is a great achievement for the space but we all now that firm like Facebook are here for the money and nothing else, so for now I will sit on the fence on this issue

I think that's a valid reason to be in a dilemma with seeing how Facebook could help with mass adoption. But I also think that raises another worry. If we've already seen how easily people take to Facebook and trust them that's just another way for them to continue selling our data for money. What needs to happen is teaching the mass public about why they should even care in the first place

Perhaps he feels Zuckerberg is not doing enough to give a soft landing pad to new technologies which he feels could pose a threat to his social media empire. I look forward to seeing what David has in store
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is product important for a project? on: April 12, 2019, 08:42:06 PM
Guys, how do you think, is a ready-made product important for ICO project?

In my opinion, it is, because it can show investors that the team is ready to bring huge results and has future plans.

As an example - KickCity, event platform where each user is rewarded for event promotion. You can try it today. More information you can find here  https://medium.com/@kickcity_io/kickcity-public-beta-5aa66fafc5c7

Apart from solving scalability issues to create a faster, secure, obscure coin for transactions. Cryptocurency projects should endeavour to bring more to the table in Ecommerce, education, sports, engineering and medicine because we already have bitcoin and Ethereum for transactions.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop SCAM in the ICO market on: April 12, 2019, 07:38:44 PM
Hi guys,

We have an idea about how to stop scam projects. We have a team who is developing an MVP for this idea now. The release of the alpha-version will be soon.

Please tell us whether would you invest in a project that:
1. has an MVP that works well.
2. unites all of the stakeholders in the ICO market.
3. stops scam projects.
4. creates a marketplace for easy communication and cooperation.

What do you think?

Update.

The most frequent question is how we are going to offer protection from scams. The answer in this article.

More info about our project:
Website
Pitch for investors
Minimum viable product

To access the MVP, you can use a demonstrate account or create your own. The demo account credentials:
icoworldtest@gmail.com

If you have any questions you can ask them in this topic or in our telegram chat.

Thank you for your attention!

This sounds innovative and will be more impressive if it can be implemented rather than a mere whitepaper representation. I will like to be part of participants to test run it if beta is released
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You Can't Be Jobless And Be Participating In Bounties on: April 12, 2019, 07:33:22 PM
Truth be told. You can't be jobless and be doing bounties. You will starve  Grin

My advice is to just see bounties as a pass time and don't be too expectant. Find some other job that gives you money. So many factors determine if you will get good rewards from bounties. For instance, when it lists, the price is out of the control of the team (unless they decide to do a buyback which rarely happens). The price of the token can rise if there is a lot of demand for it when it lists. But most times (since the bear run) the demand is low and to make it worse, several holders set ridiculously low prices just to sell off which devalues the coin.

Another factor that determines your reward is the authenticity as well as the success of the team and its project. Many campaigns have closed down in the past after several months of working on them only to announce that they failed to raise enough funds for the project. Worse case is the team devs exit scam and no one gets paid.

Project owners can also decide to execute their "reserved rights" by changing the rules at the end of successful campaigns. Rules changes can usually mean bounty rewards are reduced, locked, subjected to uninformed KYC checks, or distributed over a very long period of time.

If you consider all this then you will see that bounty campaigns are a gamble and cannot be always relied on to provide regular income for people participating in it. Those that participated in Deex bounty campaign (which ended in January 2019) are still waiting for their rewards (3 months after) and the devs are not communicating any date for the distribution. If you ask them they will say "soon". They have been saying "soon" since January, by the way. I'm not trying to slander the project or anything. I'm just advising fellow bounty hunters to try to get something else to do that will fetch them money and not to rely too much on bounty campaigns for payments.

A bit hilarious. Bounty and airdrop these days have become very uncertain. One can't really rely on it for ends meet and like you rightly said, people should get an offline job no matter how small.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Take the profit OR hold on on: April 12, 2019, 07:27:31 PM
I have invested in ETH when it was $105. Now it's $176. Will it be a good idea to take the profit now? Or I should hold on for better profit which may lead to less profit too  Grin Suggestion is appreciated.

If I were you, I would have taken profit long ago. Take $60 and set up your steploss. Trading bitcoin and ethereum should be done short term for now due to high volatility of the market

215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Price Analysis on: April 07, 2019, 07:52:43 AM
Ethereum has lots of hurdles to cross to support bullish momentum. It needs to cross long-term downtrend line (dotted line) followed by $120+ resistance level.

Looking at ethereum technical analysis today, its difficult to conclude whether we see more downside or upside in the coming days. Mixed signs of Bulls, as well as Bears, is visible on the ethereum price analysis 2019.

Read here to know more in detail: https://coinswitch.co/news/ethereum-technical-analysis-today-2019-02-07

This is over a month ago and ethereum has done far better. Recent charts suggests 200 if it can break the $180 support level. Cryptocurency is indeed dynamic, volatile yet amazing on how it can even perform against negative fundamental analysis
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to ICO if....... on: April 07, 2019, 07:36:26 AM
I'm wondering what will happen to ICO if bitcoin goes back to 1000$ plus per one to find its bottom? Will ICO start dying off ? Cos presently ICO is already suffering from market condition and I'm wondering what ICO fate would be it bitcoin falls further ,any thoughts???

It will dampen the faith and confidence of cryptocurrency investors. It will be like an apocalypse. Cryptocurency will even loose potential enthusiasts. It is a sight most crypto lovers will dread just as 2018 was dreadful and luckily we are back from the slump at 3250usd
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we still experiencing the bearish market? on: April 06, 2019, 10:18:37 PM
Of course bearish market still happened in the midst of minor pumps lately, and I wouldn't be surprised since those other holders grabbed the small opportunity of that price increase. However, no need to be afraid of current price downfall because it was just a natural fluctuations as part of bearish trend nowadays. Keep your faith and always have positive expectations in the future coming days.

So far, things look bright in crypto. Bitcoin looks set to break the 5,200usd support to 5500 and there's no stopping it. Likewise ethereum, Icon, xlm, and other top coins despite recent fuds. It goes a long way to show that some institutional investors and individuals from the centralized world are massively investing in cryptocurrencies unlike what people think.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency investment on: April 06, 2019, 10:02:12 PM
I used to get worked up over a loss in cryptocurrency not until I realized that these losses can be mitigated using the right investment strategy.
Investing and holding a coin is not the issue here, the issue is knowing when to sell.
The most successful investors are those who know when exactly to sell.
And to do that, one need doses of patience so as not to fomo and sell at loss.
The difference between the rich and the poor is simply the ability to know the right time to sell.

The year started with a bang. Eth moved 80+ usd to 160usd and Bitcoin from 3300+ usd to now 5100+ usd. The Cryptocurrency ecosystem has never been more alive. I am rather still skeptical of top coins because I am afraid of buying the top so I'd rather buy good altcoins with low circulation supply
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Team also needs to pass KYC on: April 06, 2019, 08:59:09 PM
This is totally right.. The KYC which means know your customer should be applicable to all and sundry in the crypto sphere. It might be difficult to get the project developers profile details but then it is the right step to totally sanitising the crypto ecosystem. Teams should pass KYC before investors will invest in their platform
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be aware of the new exchange's IEO! on: March 31, 2019, 09:31:55 PM
So, IEO is the recent trending topic in the crypto industry! People are very excited about IEOs, because, after a long time, IEO investors made a huge profit from it! But there is a problem too. By seeing the big hype and success of Binance IEO, many new exchanges are coming with their IEO sale! Therefore many low-grade exchanges are bringing IEO sale either! Do you think all those IEOs are worthy to invest? Hell no! Don't fall in the scam, don't be greedy! Most of the new exchange, low exchanges offerings IEO is nothing but a pure scam, they failed to raise money from the ICO sale, so they come in IEO to scam people again who don't like to read and research!

The idea of adopting IEO over a failed ICO may not necessarily be a scam because requifed funds limit has not been reached. I am more concerned on why Latoken seems to be among the first initiators of this IEO phenomenon but despite that, their tokens don't do x3 or x4 like other exchanges. Could it be as a result of poor exchange management principles
