Wow, and you're talking of misimformation.
No activity for months. That is a fact. You suddenly want to work on the coin again when you know there's a takeover. YOU are asking for funds AGAIN after having spend more than 10% of total coins you had from the premine. That's bad management. You want people to trust you again, good luck! WE are offering to relaunch Shift with OUR coins (40k personally). Coins we bought. We have a big stash? So what? That just shows we believe in this coin more than you do. Learn the difference.

You didn't abandon the ship? Let's see that: https://github.com/shiftcurrency => Last contribution on october 16, 2015. That is a fact. Please people, tell us if you considered that as a giving up. I'm curious to know about your opinion. You may have been sick, but that is only what you're saying. We have to trust you on that... And you're reappearing just when there is a community takeover. Now, as I have said already, I offered you my help on various aspects several times, before the takeover, and you didn't reply, why? I also told you were welcome to participate to the Slack channel, and we're still waiting for you. If you want to help this coin, you can.

Is Teka involved with this coin? If so I will buy some. Oh..one other condition...ban Colonel Crouton. Me'h maybe it's better if we just give him no oxygen. Teka, I know from the forum and am happy to buy if he is involved
He was involved yes, but it is no longer true (unless stated otherwise). The old team has abandonned this ship, that's why a new team is at work here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1364925.0

If you need to sync your wallet and are stuck, here is what you can do to add peers automatically at launch: (this explaination is for Windows, but is similar on other OSes as long as you change paths and filenames accordingly) 1. Use Windows key+R to open the Run window. 2. In the Run window, type %appdata%\Shift to open the Shift data folder. 3. Right inside this folder, create a file called static-nodes.json 4. Open this file in your text editor. 5. Copy and paste this inside: (yes, including the brackets) [ "enode://9852729849ab856e699af353159e781c780bac3d706da26ae41a64407b320f31c2f4a6fdee74d61ce0c9077a9a578503c8fe4e75722fc2e8ad1b97b8e823d20d@90.161.84.133:53900", "enode://dfac27f4e14600a06480ee72d2d9a28c26805ac8cbc31e1d07225a49d5669f54f97ff9d88c20cd9ec2f148c8cb64861820eee8d235b79a3edceec0648fa9376b@178.33.228.14:53900" ] 6. Save the file. (If needed, you can always add new nodes in this file later on.) 7. Launch your wallet as usual.

Some questions (which i'm surprised aren't spelled out in the OP) 1. How many coins exist now? Coinmarketcap has no marketcap, so i presume they don't know how many coins exist now. 2. What does it mean "Number of SHF mined at minimum: 2 000 000" ? Does that mean there might be 50 Billion coins possibly, if the minimum is 2 million? thanks 1. There are currently 2.53 million coins (current block *3). Market cap is around $ 20k. 2. This was the minimum number before a possible switch to PoS decided by the community. Not sure if there is a max number actually. It was said 8 million, but new releases were also expected, so... Maybe the old team could clarify. Now, all the activity is happening in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1364925.0and on the Slack channel https://shiftnrg.slack.com/

really like the way this shift is going so far still think of to join slack or not (but im really not a big fan of slack dont know why) so keep us non slackers here updated too okay? Sure, Slack is very handy for team working, but it is mainly an internal thing. Now, if you want first hand news, that's probably the place to be.

For those of you who can't sync the wallet, here are some peers (add them in the console): admin.addPeer("enode://9852729849ab856e699af353159e781c780bac3d706da26ae41a64407b320f31c2f4a6fdee74d61ce0c9077a9a578503c8fe4e75722fc2e8ad1b97b8e823d20d@90.161.84.133:53900") admin.addPeer("enode://dfac27f4e14600a06480ee72d2d9a28c26805ac8cbc31e1d07225a49d5669f54f97ff9d88c20cd9ec2f148c8cb64861820eee8d235b79a3edceec0648fa9376b@178.33.228.14:53900")

can't wait to see more of these... too much hype with premined ethereum, the same tech can be utilized with any derivative.
How is the development of the SHIFT funded? Is there any plan to have some kinds of tax? Ethereum is funded by the premine. All is happening in this thread now https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1364925.20and on Slack https://shiftnrg.slack.comThe coin is now community funded, no premine remaining from the previous team, which doesn't seem to be willing to cooperate anyway...

Shift has good potential. I will play with code and may be create some pull requests.
Great! Join us on the Slack channel. All you have to do is to send a PM to tx42 with your email address, you will receive an invite in the mail, and then you will be prompted to create an account (which takes less than 1 minute). Tx42 is the only one able to accept members since he's the creator of the channel. Everyone with good will is welcome!

You're welcome to join us on Slack, m4nki you're welcome too! You just have to send a PM to tx42 with your email address.
There are 91k in donation. We have yet to decide how we will share this out. Whoever is the future dev will get a part of that, for sure.

Website is 95% done already.
Would you mind donate us what has already been done? I would understand if you're against it, but you also said you were ready to help, so... What Maverick69 is saying is that he would like access to the website materials that the original developer has in hand, so that Maverick69 can create the website at a new URL. Well you "took over" by creating a new thread without any hesitation not talking with any other former team members. You do not understand the 100s of hours put into this. So, you are on your own. You will have a block explorer and a website soon enough, just as we did (except the 95% done website). Allthough, it will be interesting to see how it goes, maybe i can be proud of SHF after a while. After all i started it. Ii planned to come back and develop when i felt better. Good luck. In its core (golang) its more developed than EXP, so you have a head start there. It's ok, however, I'm wondering if you really want to help this coin, or if you're filled of bitterness, which is never good for the health. I offered you my help in private before the takeover, so that you can focus on development and only that. You never replied. Where was that supposed to go? Look, I have a domain name, and a host now. I was also keen on making a block explorer (although I admit I have no experience in that, so it could have taken some time). Someone else will do it, and that's great. Good will gives energy! Too bad it ends up like this...

Please join our slack channel, you can remain as anonymous as on Bitcointalk (preferably keep the same username as on here, so we can have a clue about who you are) https://shiftnrg.slack.com/We're discussing Shift's future and how to get this coin at way higher place. This is also the place where you can offer your services (translations, social activity, anything really) To join, send a PM to tx42 with the email address you want to use.

Can someone fill me in on why the last dev team was incompetent? I always thought this coin looked great, but never understood why it died out so quick. Thanks Nothing to reproach technically speaking. But with 250k, they had enough to launch successfully. They launched without a website. They sold their coins at a low price for a block explorer. Come on! If you believe in your project, you pay with your BTC and you keep working hard till the coin has a decent value.
