I've been on board since the start and have been posted in the main thread since page 25 or so!

I also think this one has the best coin logo of all and the original marketing images look infinitely more professional than anything I've seen from any of the other coins. Here's to the future!

Is there any fix for this or a link to the correct version of the client?

EarthCoin is a good name. Logo looks great. The developer/promoter has a good marketing and a big following. All good points. I want to believe the good intentions, but the pump/promote business cryptoboomer is does not sit well with the 2% premine. That will be over 60% - 70% of all supply by the time it hits an exchange. A bit hard for me to get over that.
I would like to petition the devs to destroy 70% - 80% of the premined coins. That would prove their intentions without a doubt to me. Please join me in that.
With no original (technology/ feature wise) ideas in all those coins, the name, logo, community, general appeal and marketing is all the differentiation we get.
And EarthCoin has a great chance to excel in all of those. Devs, please let's not destroy the community and the chance the coin have and prove your intentions with your actions.
I do not want them to destroy the coins... that is a waste of resources... instead offer 10,000,000 coins to someone to develop a working iphone app, another 10,000,000 for an android app, 100,000,000 for a team to put together a working e-wallet, etc and etc... put those coins to use now and by the time EAC hits the exchange, the coin can be a real and usable currency. I also feel like this would be an excellent way to use the pre-mined coins and also to show people that those coins are there for good reason.

hmm I am not sure on that, there may be some people with big rigs mining solo. Use daemon to check the network hashrate, sometimes the pool displayed hashrates are not accurate.
Yeah I thought the same thing and was checking in the client. This jump seemed particularly odd considering it happened in a minute: 16:28:21 { "blocks" : 407, "currentblocksize" : 0, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 2.62802879, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 224028403, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false } 16:29:46 { "blocks" : 420, "currentblocksize" : 0, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 1.89588336, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 137083451, "pooledtx" : 1, "testnet" : false }

The difficulty is down but that doesn't seem to have made much of a difference. Here's a screenshot of the last blocks found on Vircurpool: http://d.pr/i/OnP6+ And the current stats: Network Hashrate: 132.021 MH/s Pool Hashrate: 202.375 MH/s haha
|
|
|
Something still seems pretty weird with the targetting. The vircurpool currently has 179/184 of the network hash rate and has only found one coin in the last ~20 minutes. The odds of that seem astronomically low for a coin with a 60 second target.

If someone is looking to sell some blocks of this, I'd be willing to trade some Doge for it. PM me any offers

Does anyone know where the massive amount of hashing power is still coming from? I only see a few pools up and VirCurPool is doing 71.779 MH/s compared to the network hashrate of 1,465.337 MH/s.
Where's the other 95% coming from?
Edit: 2 minutes later it's down to this:
Network Hashrate: 458.007 MH/s
This is certainly very weird

Looks good to me! Get into the pool, guys!
|
|
|
539GH/s?!
Even litecoin is only 73 GH/s, this can't be right.
Perhaps it is adding the hashes per second of every block together instead of only keeping the last one. Can the dev check it?

I mine over 1MH/s and would love to join this pool. Any chance of an invite?

I'm really not sure how many people actually think they'll make money off Doge. It seems to be something people have been having fun with, but once real money gets involved people start doing stupid things.
Uhh sorry, I meant to say:
much stupid
so loss
