note that my gf will take on the challenge to make something pro.

will be completed by tomorrow.

she always makes like 11 versions or something.

will post em all so you can make a selection of which ones r preferred.

i will let her spend 45 mins max at it ( only 45 mins, yes, only 45 mins )

the last logo she did was 30 minutes and was great.

ps. i have been waiting for the community to submit a replacement logo/coinimage. this did not happen.

I cant even think aabout it. Had 1,21 BTC there but worse that I have made a move bought some at other exchange sold them at mtgox and withdraw the euro... now passes more that 1 month and money hasn`t arriveed on my account. Fuck 1,2 BTC I want that what I`ve withrawed in fiat currency. Ohh boy can`t sleep.... It won`t finish like that with mtgox...

if you read the document http://webwereld.nl/beveiliging/81471-bitcoin-in-vrije-val-door-implosie-mt--gox on the bottom ( english ).... they will be back in about a month ( rebranded as Gox ). But still need to figure out on how to get 200k bitcoins. They made btw a shitload of money.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LEAF] LEAFCOIN - Early version foundation launched on: February 25, 2014, 10:19:00 AM
lol,

definitely looks like i need more coffee,  thanks for the info.

also, have you looked into the TX mal attack used on GOX. is the coin vuln to this? i can see people starting to target altcoins soon and it could be one of the first to resolve the issue ;-) (if the issue is indeed present).

i thought the next block half was 31 days after the previous one?  didnt we just undergo a block half.. or do i need to go buy another cup of coffee ;-)

i think the multipools might ease up if the reward half's again!

Hi,

Every 10,82 days there is a blockhalve. This is mentioned in the oppost as well.

Next one is scheduled for 1 march.

Maybe coffee is a good idea.. i am gonna get some as well Smiley

Cheers

transaction malleability, if i understood correctly, only has affected gox ( perhaps some exchanges as well ).. currently bitcoin only. If it is a real problem ( some disagree, one of the core developers of bitcoin ie... they say it has more to do with how mtgox does the registration of transactions... ) and when there is a fix available, we will copy it immediately into the leafcoin code and push an update out.

mtgox is dead. its offline. so at least that part is closed now. they lost 740k bitcoins?

http://webwereld.nl/beveiliging/81471-bitcoin-in-vrije-val-door-implosie-mt--gox

you might need to translate if you cant read dutch.

205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LEAF] LEAFCOIN - Early version foundation launched on: February 25, 2014, 09:23:12 AM
there are four things going on:

- first we have the constant sell pressure from the middlecoin pool. Because our normal mining net hashrate is low, difficulty drops often below 17. That triggers multipools to get in here and get few blocks fast which are converted to btc immediately. Hence a continuous sell pressure. KGW doesnt change that ( as most ppl think its an weapon against multipools: it is not. it prevents getting stuck )

- second, we have a whale @ leaf. Perhaps two. These are buying from the multipools at low levels and reselling at 1 tick higher. Meaning the whale make +/- 16% on every turned coin. To continue the process ( because lower price == more profit, imagine buy at 1 and sell at 2, that would make 50% @ every turned coin ), the whale puts up sell walls to push the price further down.

- third, devs are working on projects and are not completed yet.

- fourth, we are a very young coin. And we are not the only coin undergoing this process. Most new coins experience a similar behavior.

in short: we are pushed down and its heavily manipulated. just because of the greedyness of others.

dont feed the whale and keep the price up. if you buy, buy at buy wall price. the multipool will dump into it and you will get coins eventually. be warned though... next blockhalve is on its way... so if you decide to buy at buy wall price, calculate how much btc is converted each day by these multipools and how long it takes before a buy wall gets eaten away up until your buy order. If it exceeds 1 march 2014.. then there is a real chance that you cannot buy (back) using the buy wall price.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LEAF] LEAFCOIN - Early version foundation launched on: February 25, 2014, 09:04:55 AM
the sell pressure needs to be gone. we hope this happens on next blockhalve.

if not, we might modify something on the software.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin With a Fast Distribution *7 Exchanges on: February 24, 2014, 01:31:37 PM
To my knowledge, no coins are purely POS. Only mint does (after 5 weeks of mining)
No and no.

There is ONE pure PoS, it is Nextcoin (as well as mastercoin and ripple, IIRC).
Mint is not a pure PoS. It is a PoW/PoS hybrid, which uses the PoW part to circumvent the issue of centralisation that plagues nextcoin.

its peercoin code with a different pos/pow scheme.

fast blockhalving and fast end of pow.

scrypt based.

Now that mint is on cryptsy youŽll see a last rise befir it crashes hard.

WOLONG did get you again.  Shocked

Why are you trying to discredit mint? you got any proof they are scammers?
How can it crash hard when the block rewards are getting halved soon, and the coin get more rare?

some whale will get you again... looks very similar to panda so far.

wouldnt be surprised if he is behind it. the whole coin i mean. the song, the way market is moving... how about the premine, has actually something been given away? no?

but... we cant blame him for everything Cheesy
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin With a Fast Distribution *7 Exchanges on: February 24, 2014, 11:48:03 AM
No way is this the peak, just look at the graph its trending upward and people love the concept behind this coin

lmao .... concept he said....

its just money dude

There are other similar coins like TOP and EBT, recent releases with similar POS features, although they all trade < 5 sat.

If that doesn't set off Market Manipulation alarm bells in one's head I don't know what will!

Well on thursday this coin had so good news, Accepted on a few more exhanges+ we got accepted on coinmarketcap.com, and on friday the new website came
So the news exploded everyone's interest everyone was advertising this coin on 4chan, twitter, facebook.
I think we made it really popular, and alot of people actually thinks this is a innovating coin.
Look at all the traffic i went to bed and there was 600 bitcoins traded in mints,
I tought that was alot already, But when i woke up it turned into 1900 bitcoins, this coin is going a little crazier then i expected yes, but i did expect it going up alot because every weak they get more and more rare, so you get the feeling this is your last change to buy in cheap, and i think everyone is doing that!
I only got 1,1 million and i ap now thinking i needed more when the price was so low, but i didnt have more money for it.
So im happy with my 20 dollar investment that already turned into 300+ dollar.

its just velocity/peer coin with scrypt.

anyways, bought some.. just to be sure.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin With a Fast Distribution *7 Exchanges on: February 24, 2014, 10:34:38 AM
oh you've only just noticed the manipulated market price.!!!!

It's another pump and dump brought to you by Wolong.

you'll all be bag holders soon.

shakes head

Spot on mate - Was heavily invested in PANDA when Wolong fucked us all out of our Bitcoin. He got away with over 250 Bitcoin that we are 100% sure of and probably hundreds more from the pumps and dumps. He is behind this, It is no coincidence that this coin suddenly came to life after the rape of PANDA and the dumping of the premine held by Wolong was complete. He is making fools of everyone, and with each successful trade (he is making 4-6% on each one rather easily, quickly increasing his total portfolio) he is becoming more powerful.

There really is no reason for MINT to be worth this much right now, nice coin, great ideas, but come on. When people, anyone, pump like this you all need to realise that they clearly have a tremendous supply of MINT to dump on you bought at very low prices. In reality they are not pumping anything, YOU are, you are the player investing your BTC into a coin, paying 4-5 times more than it is worth in order for a few men to dump their coins on you through small, staggered sell walls. They are laughing all the way to the bank, just as they fucked MOON, TIPS, CAT, PANDA, LOT buyers etc.

The only way to win right now is to mine MINT and hold it. If you pay this much for it now I guarantee it will fall like a sack of bricks in the coming days, if not hours - its just so damn artificial. The reason people think it "can't possibly be one or two men, its too much volume" is because like I said earlier YOU are the one doing the buying, and there are hundreds of people like you having a punt - notice their buy walls never get touched, they are there to make YOU pay more for the coin, they have no intention of buying it themselves as evidenced by the removal of the walls whenever the sells get a little to close to them.

Just be aware that scumbag manipulators are operating in this market - they fucked PANDA and have found another decent enough coin to mess with.

There will be those who will say "Bullshit. Buy up now guys while it's till low!" - They want their MINT holdings to go up further and more importantly they want your bitcoin. Others will say "Guys sell now, shits going dowwwwn" - they want to buy your MINT. But others will simply say "be mindful that you are being played." If you think you can chance your luck and day trade a profit go for it, but don't think you can outfox those with hundreds of thousands of dollars to throw at this - they decide when the price has risen enough for them to clean you out.

it just might be a wolong coin. maybe his new strategy. get rich quick scheme. we will see in upcoming days.

guess ppl need to fall on their nose a couple of times....

good luck

212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin With a Fast Distribution *7 Exchanges on: February 24, 2014, 09:02:20 AM
and the multipools will jump on now.... they can switch very fast ( within 30 seconds ).

30*30 retarget.

or is it 1 block?

edit: its one block
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LEAF] LEAFCOIN - Early version foundation launched on: February 24, 2014, 05:50:11 AM
The problem with the random block reward fix is the update. Removing it is a fix of barely 2 minutes. THAT is not the problem.

The problem is that we need another push of an update.

Could potentially KILL the coin.

If cryptsy fails to update again ( high chance, high risk.. and by the time they are updated we would be near to the blockhalve after the current incoming one )... we would have another megadump right into the buy orders.

Then the price is 1.

Why not set the date ahead like 1 or 2 months then? Gives people ample time to update. Smiley

----

I noticed that IFC is very successful, 9 times as many coins, and almost 2x our value. Now, I KNOW we are a new alt, etc. etc. but what makes IFC special and valuable, and how do we replicate that?

in 2 months the random block awards will be over anyway. we are being poisoned. on one side we have the trading whales and on the other side we have the multipools dumping into buy orders.

( we might have found a solution to multipools ( prevent fast blocks < 0.5*blocktime ), integrating and testing that )

i will have a look at infinitecoin.

edit: http://altexplorer.net/chain/LeafCoin , look at payout adresses.

we can remove it but we need to pushout another update then.... what do you ppl think?

take in account all the issues we had with cryptsy.

also in a few days the blocks will become 125k at most.

also we are working out an idea to prevent very fast blocks....

still needs tuning but i think we are on the right path.

cant explain in detail yet until we have tested it.

its probably a multipool.

they also take the low amounts...
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LEAF] LEAFCOIN - Early version foundation launched on: February 23, 2014, 06:39:40 PM

dear leafcoiners  you have an active developer, i hope price will reach high .

As long as development continues Grin

It will, we've decided to ignore the heavy market manipulation and continue with service building, it is more important.

No one want to buy at 7, they are fighting this coin
it's not enough to destroy forest, they want destroy the coin of the forest

it shall stop soon... block halvings very fast. multipool still dumping in 6.
