201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think is the best coin to invest in right now and why? on: February 23, 2014, 07:39:34 AM
Noblecoin

Solid coin with great devs and an outstanding community. It has had awesome support right from day one thanks to the pre-release work and vision of the team and falls into a very short list of coins I think are viable for the long term.

maybe it got to do with the guy promising lots of recurring buyers for 1,000,000 noble? sort of referral program or something?
im excited!

I will say it's not an artificial/natural pump of funds like this as it would be wrong to let that idea float around in case community members got burnt. It is promotional in nature, with multiple guaranteed press releases and articles on websites that attract 10s of thousands of potential new community members and coin buyers - the type of market that will lap up the marketplace deals and truly want to get on board (I personally feel) because of it. Cheers.
Sounds exciting, Nobles still my favourite coin but things have been a bit quiet the last couple of weeks, a good shake up and some press is much needed IMO... still cant complain about the cheap prices atm Wink

Coin looked interesting... failed on all fronts... moving on...

With this coin going down the poo shoot, there must be a few spare Mh/s floating around, if your sick of worrying about dodgy devs and pump and dumps I would check out noble coin, probably the only coin that doesn't have an ounce of toxin in the community! and with coin prices so low atm its the perfect time to buy in Wink
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [pandacoin] The Panda Coin ♥ Scrypt Adaptive-N w/Kimotos Gravity Well ★ on: February 18, 2014, 08:11:32 AM
so...over here at panda.oakpool.com, we havent found a block in about 18 hours. wtf?

scam
With a pool hash rate of 7Mh/s that sounds completely reasonable.

why my 280x can not run at 360?  I  can  run  260.
8o on this coin you should get 730-760Kh/s

So this is just a ripoff of Pandacoin PND?
PAND -> PANDA -> PND
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LAUNCHED![pandacoin] The Panda Coin ♥ Scrypt Adaptive-N w/Kimotos on: February 17, 2014, 06:03:24 AM
alot of people ..... even me .

don't like vert miner ..... we would like a new friendly miner ... like cg scrypt alpha ... where i use that to mine scrypt coins its more friendly and easy to use ....

and my cards don't do well on vert i get like 30% of the hashrate not 50% .... so yeah i mine scypt and maybe dump them for pandacoin ....

and i would like to know is cpu mining for panda is good at this moment ??  and if so where can i download one
Try this one: http://panda.coinvention.net/index.php?page=gettingstarted

I also found dropping 5-20Mhz off my normal scrypt core speeds hit the sweet spot for this algorithm (350-375Kh/s on 280Xs).

My understanding is CPU mining on adaptive-n only becomes worth while as the coin ages.

https://twitter.com/CoinedUp

Officially said PANDA is going to their exchange buy now when its cheap...
Nice to see another exchange but I don't think Coinedup will have much affect on the price, CryptoRush is a better exchange...

Sorry guys but this is clearly a scam to get a few at the top rich, I don't want to badmouth but is the truth.  I like the coin logo, I think the coin will have huge potential but the truth is you are all little ants working to make mama ant rich.. Little ants will eventually die and get crushed and mama ant will disappear with all the $$$$..

ps little ants will make some don't get me wrong but don't think it will ever get to high BTC levels.... This is a game of Volume and many won't have it

We need some time to see what will happened.
You see guys with 100khs but here aren't some many of them lite litecoin farming ASICs.
In middle coin one guy have 1Ghs Cheesy and here we cry when we see 100k.
***
If you don't like mining wars, farms and get tired go buy NXT.
Do you were so naive that Vercoin was't farmed by those farms.

Bedore complain about PADA farms look at LTC (wemineltc.com -pool) Asics heaven:)
Compare it our mining structure.
Do you see difference?
...

Again the whole entire point of vert was to eliminate the 143,477 hashes, witch means is just a matter of time were panda will have the farms.  The whole entire point of vert makes no sense then
Vert eliminates ASICs not farms and really it is more likely to limit the life span of an ASIC rather then out right prevent them, even then you could design an upgradable ASIC. The reality is if you can do it with general purpose hardware you can do it with ASICs, it comes down to affordability.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ••• [ANN][SMC] SmartCoin • FAIR DISTRIBUTION • on: February 15, 2014, 08:19:13 PM
Bla, bla, bla...
The dev did a great job. Sorry for your "lost". But it was only a very small amount of free coins. So... please stop it now. Most of the ppl. have gotten their free coins. Maybe you made a mistake, maybe they made one. Take a look at the other giveaways and take 1-3 of these. THANKS!!!
As I say its not at all about the coins as its is a very small amount and I did get good returns of what I mined, its about the way it was handled.

I know its annoying to see bad impressions about coins you like but I do believe that impressions good or bad should be voiced on open forums so people can see things from multiple points of view. This was my experience and thoughts on the coin, I hope the dev reads them and uses it to better the coin as it is the main reason I have spent the time to write about them.

As I say I thought the coin had great potential and the best way to improve is to bring the negative points out into the open and deal with them. If they are not dealt with other people should know what they might be getting into, this is only my experience but I have seen others saying their PMs have been ignored and the removal of mention of the premine are two important issues in my eyes.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ••• [ANN][SMC] SmartCoin • FAIR DISTRIBUTION • on: February 15, 2014, 07:49:03 PM
Waiting for some sort of conclusion

I think you got it before from Smartcoin. Maybe he should write again to you Smiley

Coin releases devs have very little interaction with the community for the first week, they ignore PMs and posts, have to implement KGW shortly after release due to short sightedness, don't inform their main exchange of wallet updates... coin had potential but wont go

Ok you have right about little lack of interactions in 2-3 days after launch.
While the rest belonged to him for a month of preparation for the start of the coin.

Maybe happened to him something important in real life and then he had to take care of

Such things also need to grab the attention.

Unfortunately, people started to panic right away that they do not get immediately free the SMC.

They informed Coinmarket by twitter. Unfortunately mistakenly they write to wrong address
(not to https://twitter.com/CoinMarketio) :/

They this is a big problem. but unfortunately mistakes happen.

Best Regards.
Last message I got from smartcoin was a couple of questions not a definite conclusion, from your response I thought you were part of the dev team giving me that response but I guess I was wrong so I still haven't got a firm response.

If the reason for lack of communication after release was because he felt like he had pushed it out the door and it was time for a rest he was very naive as the first week after release is one of the most critical IMO.

I agree there was too much panic about the preregistration at release but that was not at all from me, I waited a couple of days after they had announced the emails were rolling out before enquiring and then sent what I thought was a courteous PM asking if they were still rolling out or if something had gone wrong to which I had no response, this is the point where I decided to stop supporting SMC, I really didn't care about the 45 SMC but it would have been nice to make up for mining all the 1 SMC reward blocks helping get the network setup, if he had of replied and just said sorry something must have gone wrong we have no record of you registering so we cannot award you any coins I would have been a little disappointed but accepted it and stayed with the coin but after everything else being completely ignored was a deal breaker, though with the premine I think awarding the coins anyway would have been a nice gesture, especially being I was posting before the release which is the only thing I have going for me to show I'm not just BSing about preregistering. In turn I would have left good feedback on the thread letting people know of the devs generosity helping to promote a coin with caring devs as I often do with Noble.

Speaking of the premine I now notice all mention of it has been stripped from the main post, that is not a good look IMO as premines, while I'm not against them, are an important bit of information to know about when looking into a coin, hiding it is not cool and even releasing the premines wallet address with an open ledger is the best way to go if you want a premine to be taken seriously.

I also notice this "All emails have been sent, if you did not get an email, your registration didn't go through or our filter caught an anomaly. If we couldn't find you in our database at all, do not continue messaging us." on the main page which makes me think I'm not the only one who's preregistration somehow got lost.

All in all I have been left with a fairly bad impression of this coin now which is a shame because it did look like it could have had real potential but is now shadowed by (as much as I hate to use the word) scamish actions I (and the other miners I manage) will be moving on. Personally with other solid long term options like Noble where there is basically nothing you can say bad against the coin, devs and community and coins like max and panda that while aren't appealing to me in the long term can generate huge profits for miners in the short term, I really cant see the point in sticking around with this coin.

If the devs can be more involved dealing with things that they might not want to deal with rather then just ignoring them and re-add a mention of the premine, wallet address and ledger to the main post I will honestly wish them all the best but as it stands I hope people take the time to look around and realise there are other better options whether you are looking for a long term community or just highly profitable short term mining.

Bump

Why did you write it again?
If I understand it. Your email is not in the database of people that have signed up for the giveaway.
Or you have entered a different e-mail, or for some reason (wrong captcha filled, some error?)
Your email was not saved to the database.

So you have no chance of getting free SMC. Because you are not able to prove that
you belong to these coins.

End of story. You have to be reconciled.
Waiting for some sort of conclusion, I don't have any proof of course but it would be pretty odd for someone to be posting here before release and not sign up wouldn't it?... pretty much got the answer I was expecting, 45 SMC is nothing but good will goes along way. Glad I dumped @ 0.00037.

Coin releases devs have very little interaction with the community for the first week, they ignore PMs and posts, have to implement KGW shortly after release due to short sightedness, don't inform their main exchange of wallet updates... coin had potential but wont go anywhere without better devs... you guys should look at noble and see how real devs work.

still hasn't received my smartcoin giveaway on my email  Cry i regret investing in this coin

Do you get email? If not check SPAM folder. And please write PM to dev Smartcoin

If yes do you enter your wallet address on page http://getsmartcoin.com/redeem/ ?

Best regards.

I got no email, nothing in spam folder too. I sent message to dev. No reply for 5 days now??
If yes do you enter your wallet address on page http://getsmartcoin.com/redeem/ ? < what is the point of going there if i havent received a email yet?
I'm in the same boat, no email, not in junk either and PMed dev 4 days ago with no reply Sad

Unlike awais3344, we do not have your email you PM'd us. We checked the database before being filtered and you are not in there, not even a variation of what you provided us. Are you sure you got a success message when you signed up?

Do you know of any other email you could have possibly used?
Yes that is the only email I would have used and I definitely signed up, I directed my friends here and they have all received their emails.
Bump

If you are paying more than 60 satoshi you are ripping yourself off by a false impression of scarcity represented by a simple lack of sell orders on Cryptorush. It is not hard enough to mine to warrant the current price of 95 satoshi. Doge was at least 5 times harder to mine at that price. The dump is going to be huge on Cryptorush but ultimately, very, very small in terms of BTC value. Less than 30 BTC sits between the current price of 95 and 46, it's being pumped quite obviously as at this early stage even Wolong adivsed on IRC not to pay more than 40-60 max satoshi because it can be mined cheaper. What I expect to see is the use of a portion of the premine to dump the price back to the reasonable, stable price level of 45. That is after all what it is premine for, to prevent pump and dumps from manipulating the price or stability of our coin.

We cannot have this coin trading at a value well above what it is theoretically worth going by Mining difficulty and nethashrate. This leads to megadumps that kill coins, much like LOTTO, MOON and CAT.

Dude, can you not. You're killing my profits.

just ignore him.

Just FUD to make you all panic sell drop price so he can buy in

true

What he's saying is true, I just want him to be quiet while I'm dumping. I don't want to be the bagholder for this shitcoin lol
What he's saying only applies to mature coins, new coins are a completely different beast, he's just new to cryptos Tongue

There are 100 billion of Panda
Why the price is so high? 100 satoshi
Welcome to the world of crypto, new coins are often bought up "high" driving prices higher not for their calculated value now but for their potential value later. Also the high prices bring in more miners driving difficulty up making those "high" prices not so high anymore but more sustainable.

Lets assume a lot of investors see it at least reaching doge levels, what value would it have with difficulty 1000+? Do prices now still sound high in comparison?
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LAUNCHED![pandacoin] The Panda Coin ♥ Scrypt Adaptive-N w/Kimotos on: February 14, 2014, 07:52:00 PM
There are now 2 or Panda Coins.  WITCH ONE IS THE RIGHT ONE!

two of them are currently having viking funerals..

btw.. this is the real one =)

I think this is bad news, whoever added a 2nd coin it brings allot of confusion. Im sorry to say this but its over. This is not going to be taken  seriously if exchanges get two coins with a panda...

Someone just majorly sabotage the coin
Second lol this (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=464476.0) is the third now!

PAND -> PANDA -> PND -> who knows... Wink

Looking forward to launch, no pre-mine, no pre-sale, no-market manipulation, (hopefully) no pre-release mining, with (now) proven specs... sounds like you're onto a winner Cheesy

How about raising the ticker bar to PANDACOIN... we all know longer is better Wink
