202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Storeplex 🛒 - Ethereum's eBay on: June 07, 2018, 04:30:13 PM
Decentralised global marketplace for products and services on the blockchain.

Our Marketplace MVP is now LIVE! Check it out HERE

About PLEX

PLEX is the primary currency on the revolutionary Ecommerce cryptocurrency marketplace, Storeplex, and utilises the ERC20 Ethereum token standard, ensuring
that it is compatible with a number of Ethereum-based wallets such as MetaMask, Mist and MyEtherWallet. It can be used to purchase goods and services on
the Storeplex platform. Every listing on the marketplace will accept PLEX alongside other supported payment methods.

By using the Ethereum network to create PLEX, we have put great importance on security by ensuring that our token is secured by one of the largest and most
actively developed blockchain. Furthermore, PLEX tokens can be interchanged freely with other platforms and trading exchanges, therefore opening up additional
opportunities for adoption. This also means that PLEX can be easily integrated into many exchange websites, which will help provide high liquidity for the token.

What is the PLEX Token?

  • Used to purchase goods and services on the Storeplex marketplace
  • Used to promote users' listings and upgrade seller accounts
  • Used to support entrepreneurs in the Community Investment Fund
  • Transactions using PLEX will incur no processing fees
  • Purchases made using PLEX will receive 3% cashback
  • Can be freely traded on exchanges
  • PLEX has a constantly growing demand due to its usefulness
  • Has a limited maximum supply of 100,000,000 PLEX

Storeplex Marketplace

Being the latest blockchain project aiming to disrupt a multi-trillion dollar industry, the Storeplex marketplace allows both everyday users and merchants
to buy and sell products and services for cryptocurrency by combining one of the world’s most profitable industries with blockchain technology.

One of the biggest problems currently facing the ecommerce industry is fraud. The Storeplex marketplace is a revolutionary step in combating fraudulent
transactions and users on ecommerce marketplaces by ensuring that its users and funds are secured and protected by smart contracts.

Through the utilisation of the Ethereum blockchain and  the use of custom built smart contracts, Storeplex is able to provide its users with a secure and
user-friendly approach to cryptocurrency ecommerce. The platform also charges its users no final value or listing fees.

Features

Uses blockchain technology - Every transaction and listing is stored on the blockchain and is persistent.

Reliable and secure - Blockchain never goes offline allowing for maximum uptime while also preventing listing tampering and account compromisation.

Scalability - The Storeplex marketplace will dynamically support thousands of merchants and millions of listings.

No insertion fees - There are no insertion fees for sellers when they create listings.

No processing fees - 0% processing fees for transactions using PLEX. Only 1% processing fees for other supported payment methods.

Community funding - Community Investment Fund will be used to assist small-scale entrepreneurs in expanding their business.

Feedback system - Merchants can accumulate feedback and ratings on transactions which are stored on the blockchain and can be used on other mediums.

Cashback scheme - Purchases made using PLEX receive a 3% cashback.

Buyer & seller protection - Our Smart Contracts protect buyers and sellers from fraudulent transactions by utilising an escrow.

Minimum Viable Product

The Storeplex Marketplace MVP is now LIVE. Check it out HERE

A minimum viable product acts as a safeguard for the contributors of the Initial Coin Offering. This is because the product, in this case the marketplace, has been
developed with sufficient features to satisfy early investors. Our aim is to reassure token holders that we possess the skills and dedication required to complete this
project. Unlike any other ecommerce ICO, Storeplex is the only one to offer a functioning minimum viable product that utilises the blockchain. If a small team is able
to achieve this, then why can these much larger, well funded teams not do the same? This makes us question their true intentions.

It is also worth mentioning that the minimum viable product in no way reflects the final version of the marketplace. There will be significantly more features, and the
current feature list will be greatly expanded upon.

You can access the MVP here: https://marketplace.storeplex.io/

You will need to have MetaMask installed and be using the Rinkeby network in order to interact with the marketplace.

PLEX Airdrop

One of our main objectives with Storeplex is ensuring that our marketplace platform and the PLEX token go mainstream. To help achieve this, we feel that is vital that as
many people as possible are able to receive some PLEX tokens, giving them access to the goods and services being offered on the Storeplex marketplace. Therefore, we
will be holding an airdrop which will distribute 1,000,000 PLEX tokens to the community for free. That's 1% of the total supply of PLEX and will give 5000 participants the
opportunity to receive PLEX.

The Storeplex airdrop is a great way for everyone to be able to join our community and to be a part of the revolutionary platform we are building. Each PLEX token is worth
approximately $0.50 based on our ICO price meaning that each successful participant of the Storeplex airdrop will receive a considerable worth of PLEX tokens for free.

Round 1 - Thursday, June 7

400 PLEX for 500 participants, worth $200.00

Round 2 - Saturday, June 9

PLEX ICO

By raising funds via an Initial Coin Offering, we are able to further develop the Storeplex marketplace and implement an efficient marketing strategy.
This ultimately provides a better end-product to our users.

The token sale will allow investors to purchase PLEX tokens at a reduced rate, which helps fund the project. Investors will receive a utility token that
can be used on the Storeplex marketplace as well as traded on supported exchanges.

Everyone who contributes to the Pre-ICO before the end of June will be entered into a draw to win free PLEX tokens. Three lucky winners will be chosen at random to receive one of three prizes:

1st Prize: 50,000 PLEX (worth $25,000)

2nd Prize: 25,000 PLEX (worth $17,500)

3rd Prize: 10,000 PLEX (worth $5,000)

Bounty Program

As part of our community initiative, we have created a bounty fund of 5,000,000 PLEX tokens which can be claimed by the community for completing any number of bounties offered by Storeplex.

203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you want from an ICO? on: June 03, 2018, 02:49:01 PM
So most of the time I pay more attention to the liquidity and heat of this token.
If the token has enough followers, there is a good chance it will make a profit from the project.

So is the token itself more important than whatever platform they want to build to use that token on? I guess that would make sense if you're investing to make a profit as it's the token that you hold that you would actually sell.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What am i expected to do? on: June 03, 2018, 02:45:48 PM
My advice on what you should do depends on your current financial situation. If you really need money right now then it might be best to sell. If you need only a little bit take what you need out and let the rest sit there. If you don't need to withdraw but are on a loss, I'd personally recommend to hold as I believe we will see another bull run at some point. I don't know when but I believe the price of Bitcoin etc will continue to rise over the next few years.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What do you want from an ICO? on: June 03, 2018, 02:43:40 PM
Having taken some time to look at a number of ICO's in depth, it looks to me that a large number of them may be marketers first and developers second. They all seem to be great at selling a vision or product but when you actually start to scratch beneath the surface, you start to notice that they promise the impossible, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. That's not to say that all ICOs are like that, there's a number of very well thought out and genuine ones.

So my question is, what do you want from an ICO with regards to its presentation and what they offer? Is having a working demo or MVP the most important? Is it all about the team or does that not matter if they've already demonstrated their competence? Do you want the ICO team to generate hype and "oversell" or would you rather a more honest and direct approach?
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 3 coins in 2020? on: June 03, 2018, 02:40:23 PM
Bitcoin, Ethereum and EOS, that's what I'm going with
207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin go under regulation on: June 03, 2018, 01:41:47 PM
I think we're more likely to see actual exchanges come under regulation from governments than Bitcoin itself. That would make most sense to me as that's where a lot of the manipulation and under-handed stuff goes on. ICO's will probably be regulated soon too but that doesn't really affect Bitcoin that much, that's more for Ethereum
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum SCAM? on: June 03, 2018, 11:03:08 AM
Considering this was posted a year ago, I'd think that most people would realise by now that Ethereum is NOT a scam. How many people here actually know what a scam is, people Ethereum certainly isn't one...
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Monero a Good Investment? on: June 03, 2018, 11:00:11 AM
Monero is a solid investment for sure. It's got a big community behind it and it's slowly but surely become more recognised. If you believe in the privacy side of the technology then Monero is probably the best out there too, so if that's important then Monero is a great investment for that reason too. It's easily worth twice it's value right now if we get into a bull market and could get towards the $500 mark if we have another run like last year.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is GREEN today! Bull Run starting now? on: June 03, 2018, 10:50:50 AM
I think it's impossible to say. We all thought this was the case a month ago and look where that ended up. Just be careful and don't get your hopes up too much. Importantly of all, enjoy the green while we have it!
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token's functionality on: June 03, 2018, 10:49:04 AM
In simple terms, tokens are created at once rather than mined and then normally distributed out. With the exception of a very few rare cases, you can't mine tokens so they don't use PoW or PoS to create more coins as time goes. Tokens you normally see used on certain platforms as the currency or "fuel", whereas coins like Bitcoin are used just a currency but no platform is reliant on the Bitcoin blockchain the same way others are with Ethereum.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This can be addictive!! on: June 03, 2018, 10:42:35 AM
What you experienced is what most, if not all, new investors feel right at the start. With time though you start to get used to the market being volatile and not making sense, then you start to realise that it's not healthy to be checking and worrying all the time. It can definitely be addicting though, especially when it's all new and there's all these coins that you want!
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uneducated people join Cryptocurrency? on: June 03, 2018, 01:10:31 AM
Of course, the only thing that will hold anyone back is themselves. If you put in the time, you'll be able to start trading and investing and hopefully make some money. Cryptocurrency isn't something that you can just throw money into without having any knowledge, unless you're going for Bitcoin or Ethereum but even then I'd recommend having some knowledge!
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam coins everywhere. on: June 03, 2018, 12:46:03 AM
Wherever there is a way to make money, there will always be certain people willing to take advantage of other people to scam them. That's why it's important to thoroughly research and look into everything before you part with any of your money. It's sad that this is the world we live in...
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people don’t believe in crypto? on: June 03, 2018, 12:40:57 AM
I think it's people being afraid of change or they don't like the status quo being threatened. That could be for a number of reasons but it starts at the top and filters it way down to the bottom. Unfortunately a lot of people believe what they are told or hear rather than taking the time to look into something properly themselves before forming an opinion. It's amazing how many people still believe that Bitcoin is mainly used by criminals and is a complete scam....
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Potential Altcoin on: June 03, 2018, 12:38:53 AM
Aeternity, NAV, Ark? I believe that all of these three have the potential to have a break out at some point. Or you could perhaps look to jump onboard a recent coin instead
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is officially dead on: June 02, 2018, 02:56:32 PM
Ethereum has a bright future for sure and it isn't going anywhere anyway time. You can't understate just how important Ethereum has been in really pushing crypto and its uses. Look at the creation of tokens, ICOs and blockchain dApps.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ICOs are great on: June 02, 2018, 01:41:15 PM
ICOs have definitely helped to galvanise the crypto industry and bring people into it. It's offered a way for talented people to gain access to funds to develop the platforms needed to make crypto more mainstream without needing to go through corporation or investment funds, which for your everyday person is a challenge.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you dump or not dump after ICO ends? on: June 02, 2018, 01:39:44 PM
If you're dumping at a price which leaves you in profit still then that's great, although you normally tend to see the price of ICO coins fall below their ICO price not long after completion and first listing so Id say it's probably best to hold them until there's announcements and progression as the price will be higher, then you can dump. Dumping right after the ICO has ended more often than not will not see you make much profit, in my opinion.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is ICO period long? on: June 02, 2018, 12:56:51 PM
The whole point of an ICO is to raise as much money as possible for the project, so in theory the longer you run it the more money you can make. However that's not always the case. Personally I'd be a bit sceptical if an ICO ran for 6 or 7 months as it could indicate that there isn't enough demand or interest in it, otherwise there would be no need to run it so long. A month long ICO is about average and I think that's fair, you want enough time to allow you to market and get the word out and then start bringing in some money.
