201  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If Hillary Clinton will be the US President? on: October 09, 2016, 07:00:34 PM
If Hillary wins, she would care about that President as much as she cares for the American people. Probably even less.
202  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: October 09, 2016, 06:58:47 PM
Probably because they think it's dumb.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO]Antshares Pre-Launch Security Contest on: October 07, 2016, 02:06:56 AM
Looking good so far everyone  Cool

Nice to see it on coinmarketcap already Smiley

How is it on coinmarketcap? Isn't this coming out later this year?
204  Other / Off-topic / Re: Old people earning bitcoins on: October 07, 2016, 01:22:33 AM
When I hear old people, I do not think 45. I think like 65 and older. I really wouldn't recommended for old people, unless they have a good plan of who's going to have their wallet and password in the case they die?
205  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: October 07, 2016, 01:19:20 AM
I live in New York, and I cannot see how life would be without paper money. For example, people go in an out an buy something that you grab and hand in the money at a grocery store. Sometimes even while the clerk is taking care of someone else. If we had no paper money we would have to wait until they finish with their customer, then process our pay card, etc. Convenience would go way down when purchasing small items.
206  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: October 07, 2016, 01:15:40 AM
If you still have it, Iconomi seems to be doing pretty well. Though who's to tell if it's just overhypness by the investors.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRUMP] TrumpCoin SuperPAC on: October 07, 2016, 01:13:40 AM
All we need now is a competing El Chapo coin.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO CLOSED on: October 07, 2016, 01:10:51 AM
Can we take that into consideration ?

https://coinmarketcap.com/assets/iconomi/

That's from IOU scam website Liqui. Since ICONOMI is nearing soon, they probably decided to dump all of their IOUs causing a panic sell.
209  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think about 9/11 mystery? on: October 07, 2016, 01:07:02 AM
I believe that it was actually a muslim attack carried out by al-queida. I might be naive, but the US government would never have the balls to attack it's own people. It would be a new civil war if it was leaked.
Politics is very dirty business and we cannot deny anything. Let's see how things will be if he wins the Trump. He is a friend of Putin. And Putin blew up several apartment buildings, that there was a reason to send troops to Chechnya.
What is it? Why, then, Putin is still President? If that happens, why in America is not possible? Where the world is heading?

Where IS the world heading? Isn't it towards death for all people? I don't want to die. But experience and the graveyards show us that everybody dies.

Why do I bring this up? There is only one way out of death. It is to focus on Jesus salvation above all the rest of the world politics and happenings. There is no way to get out of life alive except through faith in Jesus.

Cool

so you're saying that ALL of the other people that don't believe in Jesus are doomed for sure? That's kind of ignorant. Just believe in what you believe in, what makes you happy and try to live your life as you want to and you will die without regrets.

That's pretty much the narsistic thinking. They are special, so because THEY were born into a Jesus loving family then they will be greatly rewarded. While someone born in Japan will burn in torturous hell for all eternity.

So, what is the truth?

The truth isn't what a person says it is just because he says it. The truth is what happens and what exists.

Take a look at the nation of Israel. They have existed using the national name of Israel for almost 4,000 years... even though their first "existings" were in family form. Not only that, but they are a prominent nation today even though they are small population-wise and land-wise.

Why do I mention this? Because their existence as they now exist is essentially impossible. This means that there is more than our simple thinking and speaking behind their existence.

The point? Perhaps their book - Bible - is the truth, and will be shown to be the truth at the end of all days, just like Israel itself has strength, although it is often hidden strength, not even clearly understood by the Israel nation.

Cool

The truth is in the pudding. If it was a very vivid and clear day, then why was it so foggy in the video? Because it was distorted.

There's never any real way to have a smart phone that cannot be hacked to.
211  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Robots vs Human Who gonna Win in the Future; on: October 06, 2016, 07:53:31 PM
A robot could never be smarter than a human. A human would have to program billions of conditions in order to have it seem as if it can interact with a computer. But it still wouldn't be conscious.

What I remember about 911 was waking up, and all of the radio station talking about how it was such a clear Tuesday. I remember it being very sunny. Yet on all the videos it's cloudy. I wonder why.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SINGULARDTV (ETHEREUM) - Launch Completed! on: October 06, 2016, 07:45:27 PM
SINGULARDTV wallet under maintainance in bittrex this is approx 3 days, anyone know about this?

So the coins are locked on Bittrex? That doesn't sound good.

It is explaining why the price is bouncing back, if people can deposit fund, the price will be under ico price. I wanna get some cheaper than ico price.  Cheesy
i wonder when the wallet problem be fixed from trexx i think your assessment is correct to avoid big dump from early holders and bounty earner.

No its not out of fear of a dump.  It's because Ethereum's geth nodes are under a "contract attack" and its causing issues with the wallets.  They're fixing it.

What's a contract attack? Is that a smart contract that somebody wrote and is paying to create chaos?
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: October 06, 2016, 07:40:47 PM
I just have a question.  How many nodes are there on the MAIDSAFE blockchain? I mean, how many people are keeping the network up?
Also, is there a way to "ping" blockchains to see how many "nods" or active users / wallets they have?

Don't you guys think it would be good to be able to hav a list somewhere of how many nodes all the blockchains have? Can't someone do that, or tell me how?
I would gladly host a website regarding that data. I think its very interesting to  be able to see how many users all the blockchains actually have, or I mean, active constituents, in a comparative chart, as it could shed some light on actual scope of magnitude of the crypto community as a "whole".

SAFE doesn't use a blockchain, that's the big difference with other crypto projects. Think of it as nodes that connect just like BitTorrent but with messages and a cryptocoin implemented. SAFE solves a lot of things at once. So you can share data just like BitTorrent but in this case it's encrypted. You can register a domain just like on the normal internet, but in this case decentralized. You can update data that's stored on the system. At the moment the nodes run locally on a datacentre  Grin but we've had several testnets where we ran nodes from home. This thing scales to 100K users at ease. To a million as well. With Bitcoin you need to have some dedicated hardware to mine coins. On SAFE you just use your computer to deliver data to the network. That's called "Farming" and I think we'll reach a million users quite fast when the network goes to BETA. But first we'll see Alpha 2 and maybe 3. Not really sure.

This is a really good explanation. The one thing that I want to know is how many users are participating.

Over 3000 people have tested the Alpha network. This doesn't mean 3000 connected at the same time. So over 3000 clients downloaded the client in the first couple of weeks and connected to the Vaults. In the testnets where we ran Vaults from home I think we had over 1000 now and then. But this was all limited use. Before they deliver Vaults again for people to run from home they have to implement the new routing and the protection against nodes that keep connecting to target a group.

This one is implemented right now: https://github.com/maidsafe/rfcs/blob/master/text/0037-disjoint-groups/0037-disjoint-groups.md
This one should follow in the coming weeks: https://github.com/maidsafe/rfcs/blob/master/text/0029-data-chains.md/0029-data-chains.md
Same for this one: https://github.com/maidsafe/rfcs/blob/master/text/0045-node-ageing/0045-node-ageing.md

Coding this stuff is not the only thing they do, they need to invent and discuss the logic as well. On the Dev Forum you'll see some long discussion about all of these RFC's. At the same time they're delivering API's so external devs can work with the system before it's fully capable. Several projects from external devs are active at the moment.

I will give it a try sometime next week. Does sound like something that needs a lot of dedicated users for it to work. Internet caps would not help.
216  Other / Off-topic / Re: TV Series Recommendations... on: October 06, 2016, 06:23:18 PM
I haven't had a TV in over a year. With Youtube and so much stuff on the internet, I prefer the extra room and less cables.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: October 06, 2016, 06:20:23 PM
At the moment stay away, but in a couple of days, it will probably start going back up.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many Alts do you expect to survive long term? on: October 06, 2016, 06:18:28 PM
It depends how many more new ones we get. In ten years, probably not many, but there will always be new ones.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO CLOSED on: October 06, 2016, 05:48:44 PM
Better to migrate Iconomi to sidechain on Lisk network,
once its possible because Eth network can be DDosed again.

What if it's being DDOS because of Iconomi? Then Lisk will be DDOSED.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO CLOSED on: October 06, 2016, 05:47:31 PM
I hope they get this fixed within the next 5 days or ICN may need delay launch until the chain stabilizes.
if nobody can even create a contract until it's fixed by another hardfork update this could get serious.
As it stands, right now, an exchange couldn't add ICN or ANY Ethereum token if they wanted to.

Even lisk is more stable than this... I run and maintain dozen public Lisk api's, and can't get a single Ethereum contract to register after switching to Parity and re-syncing this is scary. Two dozen coin ecosystems are effected by this. By the looks of it, They have the fork hot-fix but are hesitating to publish it. With any luck he listens to Gavin, and pulls the trigger. Fingers crossed.

Nice one. And we just had discussion in the office about that.

We'll be ready to launch ICN. But if it turns out that network is not stable and substantial amount of people is left with unsynced blockchain (it means also exchange could have issue with it) we will communicate that and delay launch.

We wanna make sure that we start with the launch at in advance communicated time (technically that will be certain block height) and where anyone can sync blockchain. That is the only way to make sure everyone have equal opportunities to access and transfer ICN to exchanges. We wanna make start of the race fair to all.
Fairness is the most important thing, even though I see so many people screaming impatiently to get their bounties.
