21  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think bitcoin redistributes wealth or just makes the wealthy richer? on: July 02, 2018, 12:06:17 AM
I wish there was some statistics on this. But in the last year it made a lot of holders a lot of money, by selling to a lot of new people who lost a lot of money.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your biggest mistake up to now on: June 27, 2018, 09:33:52 PM
My biggest mistake was leaving the scene in 2014, because I felt I had bad luck and will just mess things up.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is crypto a cult? on: June 25, 2018, 10:09:38 PM
What the title of this thread reminded me was of all the "Lets teach children about Crypto" threads that used to pop up often here. Because those people were equating it to something so... I don't know. Someone from the outside might see that as cult like.

How do I divide my coins to stake? I know it's something coin control, but I can't seem to figure it out.

First step is to show coin control features... this will allow you to see your "inputs of coins."

If you have been staking for a while, its possible you have MANY inputs under the same address.

To divide or combine blocks, you need to select certain inputs, and send desired amounts of coins to your OWN address.

If you are sending less coins than your inputs selected, use a Custom Change Address and input your OWN address into that field. That way what is ever left over from the amount you choose to send to yourself as a "Block or Input," if there is any change it goes back to your same address. Otherwise it will create a completely new address for the "change" left over from the transaction.

I f you don't mind do you know of a detailed step by step guide that I can see? Something that shows the whole process?
As of the moment, there is still no video presentation on how to use coin control in PRiVCY Coin. But, you can always refer to youtube in other coins that also stakes. I think they just have the same mechanism.

Yes, he can look up staking with QT wallets.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Airdrop causing a dump price of Token/ICO? on: June 20, 2018, 11:08:52 PM
No, most air drop are not profitable at all, so would be a tiny spec in the whole crypto market. I mean how much volume do air drop coins have? What percentage of airdrop coins even make it to an exchange? Two percent?
26  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What is your stance on capital punishment? on: June 20, 2018, 05:42:30 AM
You seem to have some logic in assuming that crypto people will have more of a logical mind. We're all still lacking though, a lot, but not as much as other who would probably not have as open of a mind to look into it and understand it enough to stay.

As for the death penalty, I'm completely for it, so long as there is no deniable proof that the person committed the evil crime. I'm talking about DNA plus video of them doing the crime.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sirius A New Smart Chain Freely Distributed on: June 20, 2018, 01:20:31 AM
I am a little worried about Sirius, but not because of the price. It's because the devs never come on here and interact with the community. I know there's a slack, but most people prefer this thread.

I checked the slack, seems pretty dead as well, barely any activity there.

What about TheStuhlman? How often is he showing up?

looks like somebody didn't read the white paper  Roll Eyes

Where is the white paper? On the homepage https://getsirius.io I can only find the position paper. And on the github repository they didn't even bother to change the documentation from the original Bitcoin client, from which qtum was initially cloned:

https://github.com/siriuscore/sirius/tree/master/doc

And looks like it is not only my opinion, price drops like a stone. Probably the devs are dumping it, too.

The price is dropping like every other coin, because btc price is dropping. About the changes on github and more information about the project you are right and we are all waiting to hear what comes next.

that's usually what happens when bitcoins go down, but not to worry SIRX has a good belief in the community. this is precisely the time for me to have the coin.
The timing is bit perfect to buy sirx when the price goes down, dont need buy a lot. I was try buy sirx on under 500sat/sirx but until now no one sell them  Grin, still waiting the good moment to waiting for someone who is doing instant sell (hope the luck come).

Good opportunity to use the dollar cost averaging approach. Wouldn't buy all at once if it's going down as it could also go further down of course.

What is the dollar cost averaging approach? Is that a strategy to reduce risk?

You are less prone to extreme market timing situations. You take a fixed amount of money and invest on a regular basis rather than using it all at once whereas being dependent on luck that you found a good time to enter.

That sounds like a solid strategy. That's similar to people who set aside a portion of their paycheck to buy crypto every week.

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in ICO or buy BTC? on: June 16, 2018, 08:48:32 PM
Buy BTC. Especially since you're new and will be prone to make mistakes when investing in ICOs. ICOs right now are too risky.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sirius A New Smart Chain Freely Distributed on: June 14, 2018, 06:21:26 PM
Without pr or marketing, forking makes no difference on price. I am really sad for who bought this coin directly from devs worth 80 btc.

They believed in the project and want to see it succeed. In other words we are just in the beginning, and if they just wanted to dump it at launch then they would had not donated.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sirius A New Smart Chain Freely Distributed on: June 13, 2018, 03:34:09 PM
Developers should something else about marketing. This coin's price were higher in OTC i remember the price were about 0.15 usd or something else.

Bounty Campaign would help with the marketing, But as of now there's no latest updates about bounty campaign.

Hodlers should start working on helping the team with marketing via different social media but i guess nothing is free in bitcointalk every click should be paid Cheesy
seeing the price and volume of syrup in cryptopia is very clear, the hunters of airdrop are only selfish by selling sirx regardless of price. and now the team and the holder must think to be able to reverse the volume and the price becomes normal again

I think that's more of a factor of so much delay. From being listed, to the 2nd round of the air drop. Some people might had lost confidence, so hopefully we can get them back.

i was very Lucky to buy 3000 sirx for a very good price but still interested in the airdrop , i heard some time ago that they will work with cryptopia to do the airdrop , is there any more info about that?

Curious to know, how much did you pay for it? Since I have 5000 of them.

Has anyone with programming knowledge looked at the GitHub? Is development still going on?
36  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why people don't vote? on: June 05, 2018, 08:15:52 PM
Different reasons.

1. They don't care.
2. They might care a little but are not motivated.
3. They care but hate the choices they have.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sirius A New Smart Chain Freely Distributed on: May 03, 2018, 04:10:10 AM
sirius is dead....bye bye..hope for a takeover!
Dude Sirius is not dead they are still alive, Nah I want to ask a bit to you, did you join their slack, for your information they are prefer in slack for discussion about Sirius

Don't they build a bridge to telegram? Why I didn't get any updates or active discussion over there?
Or the bridge they build already been destroyed.
I'm still holding on my Sirius from previous airdrop.
Oh where were second airdrop anyway?

Telegram and slack are still bridge together and i can still read 1 message daily from random people. Last post from the dev was may 1 and he says "Patience always pay off"

Anyway, as for 2nd round distribution it wont happen anytime soon.

Why won't it happen anytime soon? I mean it should had happened at the beginning of February.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sirius A New Smart Chain Freely Distributed on: April 19, 2018, 05:08:36 PM
I realize that the dev is very active on Slack, but he hasn't posted here in over a month. March 14. I would suggest to maintain a presence here, if only to keep conversation abotu Sirius going.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sirius A New Smart Chain Freely Distributed on: April 06, 2018, 03:59:10 AM
Has anyone here read any news on the Slack? It is weird that the Dev won't pop up. Weird because I've seen it so many times in other projects.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sirius A New Smart Chain Freely Distributed on: March 25, 2018, 03:47:55 AM
I don't think it is logical to try pos with current ratios.

I am not going to let my pc open for days just to get 2-3 sirx.

2-3 syrius, this is so little, I expected more. Now not for a couple of days, much more. Starting from 7 days. I does not turn off computer 6 day. And is not known how much long to keep the computer turned on. I'm disappointed when I purchased the Sirius I thought the pos would be on a profit. I will hope for the technology of the coin itself and the price increase for it (

Maybe because many investors see Sirius as the next Ethereum so staking for 5 SIRX for 2-3 days makes sense if we estimate its future value.

Do investors really see this as the next Etherum? I'm hoping the answer is yes.
