Oh, thank you!

I get it now. I really didn't think it through properly, that means you both are technically one game short or the whole league aside yourself leea and mitch have played a game more, just like an outstanding match since we've all played against one more opponent which isn't Casper while you both and leea have played against him already, so until everyone in the league play against Casper before the match played statistic becomes even.

Yes with every round passing by one of you guys will be playing against casperBGD, but since that game has now already been added to the table, whoever of those who haven't played casperBGD will then have a free round without any changes in the table so to say. That's why the table will now take until the very last round to even out in terms of games played for everyone. But everyone will still be playing for the free bet though.

202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: March 25, 2024, 05:45:44 PM
games against casperBGD have now been entered as 3:0 for his oponnets for whole season. Extra points for all Smiley

Finally I’m getting a free 3 points for the first in seasons, or I shouldn’t even consider it a freebie, since everyone across division also got it as well.

Why does mitchr4 and mv1986 both have 3 matches played each and every other persons have 4 matches played ?

It is because you guys got already added the game that you did not yet play against casperBGD. leea-1334, mitchr4 and I already played against casperBGD, which means for us the game we played will just be replaced with the 3-0 result. I won my game, but still stand at 6 points, since I officially won 2 games. Whereas everyone else got one game on top + 3 points on top.

It doesn't look very well that way Tongue Being so close to the relegation zone doesn't feel great. I'll better change that while keeping that game in hand.

Good luck to leea-1334 for this round. It is a critical game for you early in the season. May the luckiest win! Wink

He don't want to become a substitute, since there's no team can afford to buy out him, loaning him to other team is already the best option. Now he has no chance to play in Manchester City, previously Ake was his biggest competitor, now he need to compete Ake and Gvardiol.

Barcelona is really want to buy out Cancelo, but are you sure they can afford with the transfer fees? Cheesy

When his contract ends, he will go to another team for free, what can they do other than sell? Manchester City will either sell him this summer or get nothing in return. Barca's financial situation is also improving, they are not bankrupt. They are on a better financial level, I'm sure they have transfer budgets to allocate to such important players. In teams like Barca, the right and left back positions are important. The best players in the world play in these teams. Left back is not an unimportant position. When you find a good player playing there, you have to hold on to him well.

I wouldn't be jumping the gun in regards to Barcelona's financial situation! Cheesy The headlines have been horrible all those years, but it is true that they did manage to seal deals again and again eventually. So I guess they are not bankrupt in the sense that they could not sign new players. They pretty surely can and I think Cancelo could be a good deal for them. I consider Cancelo a good player, wondering why he didn't get more chances to find his way at Manchester City. But Guardiola can be quite merciless once he made up his mind. I haven't watched all the game, but what I saw from Cancelo was solid and his style is something Guardiola usually likes. But with rising competition in the team and Guardiola remaining the coach there, I doubt that Cancelo wants to go back at all.

It is impossible to hope no injured players. Xabi Alonso just expects that all the key players are ready in the crucial match. There will be crucial matches in UEL, Victor Boniface is expected to return to the team soon. If we look at the current news, he will recover in the early of the next month. So, he probably will be in the lineup against West Ham in April 12, 2024.

Source: sabcsport.com

Theoretically, games with West Ham should not be a problem for Bayer at all, since West Ham are only 7th in the Premier League and they even have a negative goal difference. But it would be great to see Bayer in the optimal lineup + it would be great if Bayer was 100% ready for a potential game with Liverpool. In the Bundesliga, games don't really matter anymore, there are just various statistical points of interest, like how long Bayer's streak of games without defeat can be and whether they can go through the entire season without defeat.

I am feeling some discomfort when I read your post, but no insult intended here. Wink

I thought that Leverkusen would hammer Qarabağ Ağdam in the BayArena and there would not even be a minute of sweating during that game. But I had to once more find out that phrases like "no problem at all" have to be taken with a grain of salt. I can tell you that I bet on Leverkusen win that day to push the odds a little of several multi-bets. I couldn't believe when they were 0-2 down and several slips would have been down the toilet.

I agree with you that under most circumstances, Leverkusen should advance to the next round here. But I think that the Hammers are probably quite a bit stronger than Qarabağ Ağdam.

The form has been reopened, thanks Slissy for the save. It's actually impressive how dedicated you fellas are Grin

Hhampuz, PedroCunhaYori - please send me your revised answers in PM and I'll manually change them. Q7 has 1 different game, it was Atletico (vs Villarreal) which has now been switched to Juventus (vs Lazio).

If something else is f%&ked up, blame my screaming children. I do.

Lol, "I do" was the perfect rhetorical addition to that previous sentence! Cheesy

The tennis question is nasty this time as there are some games where surprises could be due. I was super motivated to submit early, but when I saw the outstanding matches at the ATP Miami, well, I instantly hesitate to finalize my submission form. There are a couple of games where I wouldn't be shocked if one of the favorites gets knocked out.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your state on mind if your son stole your money to gamble? on: March 24, 2024, 07:53:40 PM
Death penalty, no mercy! Cheesy

But joking aside here, I think that a lot of things must have been going wrong beforehand. I think in a healthy relationship between father and son, it would be quite a rare occasion that a son steals money and then uses it to gamble. Wonder if it is about stealing money from a physical wallet or taking it from a credit card or otherwise, but in the end it doesn't matter.

I'd think that if father and son get along well, what would the issue be to ask the dad for some cash to have fun doing some gambling? It's not the best activity, but if there is trust between the two, I'd rather want my son to ask.
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 24, 2024, 03:14:33 PM

Lol, this is funny, but frankly, if Xabi Alonso deserves a thrown of his own, I think Mbappe should have had one by now for a very long time! Cheesy If Mbappe had his own thread here, we would probably soon be looking at at least 200 pages of posts...

But yes jokes aside, he is an interesting personality without a doubt, but there should be caution that we don't exaggerate. I mean it is not impossible that he goes to another club and gets fired within the six months. If he goes to Liverpool or Bayern and the teams don't perform, which is a possibility, the big adventure could be over faster than anyone thought it would.

Well, I really think that is not going to happen. I mean it is not impossible to happen. But with the performance that he has shown, that also with a quite weak opponent, I do not think he will have a big problem managing a big club. Him getting fired in 6 months can obviously happen. But that is highly unlikely in my opinion.

I tend to disagree with your "highly" unlikely because I think this has been seen before. But this is not so much about Alonso per se, but about coaching any of the big clubs. One of the most important requirements is that 99% of the time a coach isn't given the time to be successful. When Klopp overtook Liverpool, the team wasn't a winning team back at the time but rather hovering around in the midfield of the table. That is why Klopp was given the time to win something. But now he has raised the bar significantly for anyone to follow in his footsteps. In a situation where Liverpool would have a start with Alonso like 3 wins, 4 draws and 5 losses, I think the air would get thin quickly for him. Maybe Klopp would publicly ask for patience and that would help, but success is a must at least at a certain level. Bayern wouldn't be patient at all.
212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: March 23, 2024, 11:46:16 PM
Brazil won, but I needed England to score. Still a good result for me, as bloody France are toothless with only 20 minutes to play, so looks like I'll lose that one, to bring the round to 3-2 with only NCAA and F1 to go and judging by leea's answer of "3nd Ferrari driver", I should win that one right? Heh heh

I feel that 3-goal differences are quite rare in BSFL so yeah, 3-0 is the best you get. Maybe not even that in the future Grin

Too lazy to look at past history but I think 1-goal difference rounds feel like the most common result. 3-2 also feels like the most common result or median for me, but I wonder what the stats look like across the leagues. Have a feeling it's been quite big in Div3s, but am only relying on imagined memory.

It's too big a freebie, agree. Should be 1-0, to reflect how relatively often it happens (once to me already in 4 seasons, something to remind CLS63 forever about).

Division 3 historic results are skewed quite a bit as there were tons of 3-0 because so many players got disqualified. If anyone wants to have a look and calculate the average, I think the spreads resulting in 3-0 from disqualification should be excluded. But anyway, 3-0 is more than fair I guess although toning it down means less of a penalty to the one not submitting. There are two sides to the coin. But that has been taken care of due to the reward penalties at the end of the season. Hence, a 2-0 might make sense in the future.

@cls63 the innocuous Equipe Tricolore sealed the deal for me. I was still a bit nervous and I thought the early German goal play more into your hands as I suspected the French team to go even harder. But the Germans did quite well on this one.

It's all good, no harm done here. And if you ask me I am quite sure that Klopp will return even though he left it up for public speculation. But nobody can really imagine that he would retreat and not return. Rummenigge from Bayern Munich said that football is like a heavy drug and Klopp is a junky, and there is no way that this junky can live the rest of his life without being a football coach. I think there is some truth to that! Wink
No one knows a person's wishes in continuing his life and the decision that Klopp has taken, I think his conscience and whether he returns or not will take several years to come.
Regardless of what people said in the past, everyone has a different view of their life in the future.

No need to become too philosophical about the issue as this is still gambling discussion I suppose! Cheesy

Klopp has given a very clear statement about his current sentiment and what he thinks about the future. Current situation: one year break no matter what. Situation in a year from now: it depends on what he comes up with or what kind of opportunities cross his way until then.

I don't understand why so many people here are speculating because he gave an interview. I assume that most people commenting on the issue never took the time to watch it.

I'm not really sure about this information because what we see is that he is quite fit and running around the field when his club managed to beat the opponent and that means his health is still quite fit. One thing I think is that he wants to try something new even though he has to stop for a while after next season and there are several news sources that I read and he plans to take charge of another club as a career move.

Let's just say that the I said is wrong because now it's hard to find accurate information and maybe we can see after the season ends. But if the reason is physical fitness I'm sure that's not the only reason he wants to leave Liverpool after this season ends and you can see during the Liverpool match how he is on the sidelines.

It's all good, no harm done here. And if you ask me I am quite sure that Klopp will return even though he left it up for public speculation. I am of the opinion that a special thread be dedicated to Xavi Alonso  Grin
As funny as this might sound, it is important to note and acknowledge that Xavi Alonso has actually done extraordinary well this season. If many expected this to happen I am not among those many. I am among the few that thought that the German Bundesliga season will end as usual. But Xavi Alonso took many people by surprise and even up to the European competitions, this guy is still doing great. I am not surprised that many clubs are interested in his services because he has proven himself to be a special and an extraordinary new talent in the coaching industry. In as much as both Liverpool and Bayern Munich and even the Real Madrid had once have him as their players, I would definitely want Xavi Alonso to come to England to compete with Guardiola and as such I will have Etche opportunity to watch him every weekend.

Lol, this is funny, but frankly, if Xabi Alonso deserves a thrown of his own, I think Mbappe should have had one by now for a very long time! Cheesy If Mbappe had his own thread here, we would probably soon be looking at at least 200 pages of posts...

mv1986, it looks like we have different answers on only 2 questions. It is absolutely going to be a challenging round. I hope that the surprise I expect in CONCACAF comes true.  Roll Eyes

The USA has 83% ball possession and conceded a goal against Jamaica in the first minute of the game. I am not really sure what to think about this, but the fact of the matter that currently you got the point for this question. Now will Jamaica be able to bring the lead home with just 17% ball possession? Obviously, I hope they don't, but I see the worst case coming for me. Passing accuracy for Jamaica is 52%, if USA can't turn this one around, then what is it that they can turn around? Cheesy

It was a quite unlucky night for me. It isn't a thing that happens in football very often that a player scores a header to his own goal in the last second. Jamaica dropped in performance in extra time because of taking a mental damage already and the USA managed to win comfortably. I don't have any chance left to win this round but I will fight for a draw at least.  Roll Eyes

That was definitely a lucky result for me, no doubt about that. If you you look at the whole game, the result wasn't undeserved, but once the game goes into extra time, that sort of goal is certainly a big bummer for you. It was deflected and then perfectly hit the ball of a Jamaican player and then ended up in the back of the net. It's lucky for me that there was a goal at all, and even luckier considering how that goal was scored.

This time I was the lucky one, but let's see how the game France - Germany will go. You got a decent chance there although I prefer to pick ranges in such questions rather than one fixed number. But 2 goals doesn't sound unrealistic.

On the one hand, I’m ready to believe that Lewandowski’s motivation decreased because once he got to Barcelona, he clearly felt that this was not a transition up, but definitely a downward one (Lewandowski became very familiar with the Europa League and lost the habit of playing in the Champions League playoffs while playing in Barcelona haha), but after all, the change of situation should have had a positive effect on him. Most likely it’s a matter of age - he is actually 35.5 years old and this is the age when most football players have already finished playing football. Miracles rarely happen (Ronaldo), so it should not be surprising that Lewandowski, having worse physical capabilities, also has worse motivation.

It is a matter of age and less a matter of motivation. The reason I am saying this is two-fold: on the one hand he declined offers from Saudi Arabia and I think someone who is undergoing declining motivation may get to a point where the desire for more money outweighs the passion for playing the hardest games possible. On the other hand I watched a few interviews he gave in German when he explained why he wanted to go to Barcelona and leave Bayern after breaking and setting all these records. He said that Barcelona has been a lifelong dream for him and he felt it was the perfect time to give his career a last challenging shot. He was super happy about his little children and his wife being able to live in a wonderful, sunny place and he was on fire when he was speaking about his new challenge in Barcelona. It didn't really come across as if he was taking that step to slowdown. I rather thought he wants to prove one more time that he can do it at another top club at his age.

Liverpool management and fans definitely don't want Jurgen Klopp to leave next season because he has built a stronger squad under his coaching. But perhaps his decision to leave has been a consideration and he may want to seek experience at another club as a career step. Jurgen Klopp's departure will definitely have an impact on Liverpool because even though they have got a good coach they will definitely need to adapt to the players so it will not be easy to restore confidence to continue being in a favorable condition.

Likewise, with players who are rumored to be leaving, such as Alexander Arnold, he is still young enough to have a career at another club so it is natural that offers from other clubs come for him. Liverpool have to look at next season with something new and they have to prepare a lot of things if they don't want to experience setbacks like several other teams in the English league.

I don't know where you are gathering your information or whether you take some time to have a closer look at what exactly has been said and what has been proven to be wrong.

Klopp gave quite a long interview explaining his exact reasons as to why he is leaving the club before his contract will expire and what his plan for the next 12 months will be. He said he is healthy and it has nothing to do with his physical condition, but he also said that he feels weak and he feels the need for a break. Hence, he guaranteed that he will definitely not train a new club in the upcoming season. He added that he doesn't know his exact future plans because he wants to take time during that break to make up his mind, but he said there is no chance to see him on the coaching bench in the season 24/25.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is showing some resistance against conceding the third goal in the EURO U-21 qualifiers. It doesn't matter for my duel with cls63, but I saw that the vast majority went with less than 2.5 goals and it reminds me how I got away a few times with my tips on goals when after 30 minutes it looked as if I am clearly on the losing path. But for the time being it seems as if the game will end with less than 2.5 goals. Or this is going to be another foto finisher and we'll see another goal in overtime of overtime (like USA - Jamaica) Smiley

I am sure notblox1 wouldn't be complaining if he starts the round with a perfect 4/4, free bet would probably be waiting for you already.
