It isn't a bad idea at all and I wasn't thinking about that option, but indeed if Xabi Alonso is patient and waits for Ancelotti to finish his contract, this would certainly be a realistic scenario since he then has a proven track record and experience on a very high level with a good club. Klopp gave quite a long interview explaining his exact reasons as to why he is leaving the club before his contract will expire and what his plan for the next 12 months will be. He said he is healthy and it has nothing to do with his physical condition, but he also said that he feels weak and he feels the need for a break. Hence, he guaranteed that he will definitely not train a new club in the upcoming season. He added that he doesn't know his exact future plans because he wants to take time during that break to make up his mind, but he said there is no chance to see him on the coaching bench in the season 24/25.

I think it would be a shame if Barcelona didn't keep Xavi, because overall he also showed something that wasn't bad, although not very good either. This fully depends on whether he is successful or not. Real Madrid has a history of firing coaches who were quite successful in the public eye, but it wasn't enough for Real Madrid. They won't fire him if he now loses against Manchester City in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, but I am sure they would be reacting pretty harshly if he comes second next La Liga season. It definitely depends on the team's performance and whether there is at least one title or not. It's Madrid, it isn't some mediocre club that is willing to keep their coach through hard times.
