201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC/ETH Technical Analysis: Breakout soon? on: March 27, 2019, 11:37:23 AM
Everyone has always been saying along the lines of "breakout soon?" pretty much after every few weeks. At this point people should've realized that these things are pointless.
202  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | 0.00075 BTC/post on: March 26, 2019, 04:42:57 PM
I see one participant who gets red trust, can I replace it?.
PM me if accepted, and I will give my application and change my signature.
Thank you DarkStar_

I took a look at the spreadsheet, and HabBear has had the red trust since like two and a half months ago, and he's still in the campaign. I don't think they're going to remove him anytime soon.
203  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What crypto exchange are you using? on: March 26, 2019, 04:00:31 PM
The best exchange to use for you really depends on what country you're in. Some specific countries like India and the Philippines has their own sort of local version of Coinbase. Personally though? Localbitcoins all the way.
204  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The purpose of using bitcointalk on: March 26, 2019, 03:48:26 AM
I'm here simply to be able to discuss about bitcoin. Reddit used to be my home, but it has been really crappy since the 2017 bubble. Lots of idiots think their coin is better just because it's faster and cheaper.

I don't see anything wrong with being able to make money though. As long as you're not spamming.
205  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Media spreads incorrect story of New Zealand mass shooter & crypto... on: March 19, 2019, 10:45:54 AM
stop using the terms correct or incorrect, you lost the right to do that with the creation of bitcoin,

the central banks and the communal fiat driven people put you for economic reasons into a bad light, the same as you lunatics put them for economic reasons in a bad light (oh bitcoin is better than these nasty "fiats")

get used to it. you market your trash they market their "trash"

they are not more bigotted and agenda driven than you are.

correct and incorrect is to universal

Are you seriously going to blabber on your anti-bitcoin bullshit views even in a topic that isn't specifically made to talk about bitcoin in the first place, but the media's inaccurate news? Seriously, jog on.
206  Other / Meta / Re: Banned users in a nutshell. on: March 18, 2019, 04:43:57 PM
Actually some people were unbanned just recently. But your contribution to the forum has to be significant for the admins to even consider giving you a 2nd chance which is not the case with the majority of bounty hunters.

Good for them. Some definitely deserved the unban, but if we're talking about statistics here, the percentage of people who deserved an unban is very small(as far as I know, for my few weeks stay here).
207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's to stop a 'Bitcoin 2' taking over... on: March 18, 2019, 06:43:01 AM
Many of the nutjobs also think LN is Bitcoin, it is not ,
LN is a 3rd party offchain promissory note network that works with multiple coins.

Many of the same nutjobs promoting BTC also Promote LN, not realizing it may use altcoins to dethrone BTC
How is LN using altcoins to dethrone BTC? Sure. Altcoins can definitely use LN's tech. But does it matter? Does it make it an inferior solution just because it's not bitcoin-only? That doesn't make any sense at all.
208  Other / Meta / Re: Banned account for no reason or warnings!!!! on: March 17, 2019, 01:12:58 PM
If there's anything I've immediately learned about "banned account for no reason or no warnings" on my 2 week stay here on Bitcointalk, it's mostly either 1. plagiarism(99% of the time), or ban evasion.
209  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OTC Fees on: March 15, 2019, 03:57:46 PM
You're the person that does not know what you're talking about. Clarify what bullshit I said.
Re-read your reply and if you actually understand what you're saying, you'll immediately detect the BS.

You're the person that's not experienced OTC since you're a newbie Wink
Sure. Because my Bitcointalk rank has something to do with my bitcoin knowledge and my finances right? Big talk coming from someone who has been registered since January 2017 but has only earned 1 merit.

You're the person that does not know what you're talking about. Clarify what bullshit I said. You're the person that's not experienced OTC since you're a newbie Wink. GCOX has an OTC exchange. I manage to invest some in there and they literally have no sellers in there.
Nope, you're the one who has no clue what he is talking about.
That thing on GCOX is a fake p2p exchange, nothing more, but they've labeled it OTC to attract more morons to their ICO.
Someone who gets it.

Yo Xenrise. Looks like you got fukd by a newbie Wink
210  Other / Meta / Re: Posting/reporting anti-spam limits on: March 15, 2019, 03:51:07 PM
It works like this. Every action (login, posting, reporting, etc...) share the same limit countdown. So, you can only do one of those actions every X seconds.

Great. Someone who actually understands what I'm trying to say.

Here's 1 merit. The very first merit I'm giving out.

Locked.
211  Other / Meta / Re: Posting/reporting anti-spam limits on: March 15, 2019, 03:15:36 PM
No it isn't a bug, it is an initiative put in place to combat spam (frequent) posting from newly created accounts. Like the notice says, the more establish your account is (higher your rank), the limit decreasing. so for now you just have to wait for another 360seconds that's 6minutes to make another post.

If you clearly read my main topic, I was obviously aware of the 360 second limit for low ranked users. My question was specifically about replies and reports being seen as one thing by the anti-spam system.
212  Other / Meta / Posting/reporting anti-spam limits on: March 15, 2019, 02:59:11 PM
I recently replied to this topic to call out one user who is only obviously replying for post count: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5120983.msg50173585#msg50173585

and after calling him out, I tried to report his reply, and I get this: https://i.imgur.com/5zC1ddb.png  even though my last report was more than 15 minutes ago. It seems like both replies and reports are seen the same by the anti-spam software. Is this a bug? Or is it intended to be like this?

The posting limits are annoying as hell. But I guess it's really understandable due to how much useless spam I'm seeing.
213  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OTC Fees on: March 15, 2019, 02:51:01 PM
I think OTCs are shit especially when nobody is buying anything lol. I guess that normal exchanges are far greater than OTC since you really need to wait for the buyer or the seller to be online. What more if the site is dead. No buyers, no sellers.

You have no idea on what you're talking about and stop spewing BS. Get your post count somewhere else.
214  Other / Meta / What are the rules against spam? on: March 15, 2019, 10:36:48 AM
Title. What's the criteria in determining if a certain user is spamming or not? Like this guy that's been hot on the Bitcoin Discussion subforum lately, posting generic topics. Just today, CryptoEP posted 4 topics already that aren't even slightly interesting. He already has created 12 topics with his account that's only been registered for 3 days.

CryptoEP's topics: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;threads;u=2561348;sa=showPosts

Not sure about you people, but I think this guy is just obviously posting to rack up some post count.

216  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think should I buy for 1 year? on: March 12, 2019, 07:29:59 AM
Buy something that could actually help you as a person like a book or something; rather than asking people on Bitcointalk on what you should invest in.
217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: -=< No Guts No Glory! >=- Hodl !!!!! on: March 12, 2019, 07:21:51 AM
No risk no reward.  America is a nation of ristakers and I believe those who take risks now with bitcoin will be richly rewarded in the future.
Unless if you invested in BitConnect and other shitcoins
218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Off grid Bitcoin on: March 12, 2019, 07:10:17 AM
Is this really a thing? It seems that we are learning backwards here.

I know Internet outage is possible but it's like hacking 51% of the Bitcoin network, just my perspective though. Please enlighten me.

Ain't it quite egoistic and selfish that we ignore other solutions just because most of us here won't be using these alternative solutions besides the Venezuelans? These things are being developed for when bad events such as the Venezuelan blackout. If anything, now is a good time to talk about these technologies as so we are more ready whenever these "bad events" occur on other countries/cities on the future. Though I hope not.
219  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Using Google Trend to choose right time to accumulate for your portfolio on: March 12, 2019, 07:01:45 AM
This strategy really is not going to work unfortunately. There have been a good amount of times whereas the search volume of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are in the uprise whereas the prices are still going lower.
220  Other / Meta / Re: @Theymos @Cyrus Please give me another chance ? [after 6 month] on: March 03, 2019, 10:33:21 PM
You found nice way to receive merits in ban appeal topics. Wow nice mate

U MAD BRO? Regardless if he did that for the merits or not, at least he/she's actually exerting some effort into contributing to this matter. Rather than copy pasting shit replies like you did. Tongue
