201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: my first crypto mining rig, on: February 22, 2021, 12:24:05 PM
Hi,

And how about it https://www.cnet.com/news/nvidia-says-geforce-rtx-3060-is-meant-for-gamers-not-crypto-miners/ ?

Is it real?  I can't use RTX 3060 for mining?

Thank you.

is this sh*t even related to the 3060 Ti ?!?!?....
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / my first crypto mining rig, on: February 21, 2021, 01:16:24 PM
Hi guys,

decided on 2x 3070s and 3x 3060 Ti,

total 5x Cards on a single rig (the 3070s are already purchased so cant cancel them now...)

I know the 3060Ti performs the same for 100$ less or so,,,

but what's done is done Smiley

i need some advise now where to get the best risers and what PSU is needed to power those cards??....

am on a server board, CPU, RAM available, is 1200w PSU gonna be enough for those 5x cards ?...

And How to go with installaing nvidia drivers for two different cards on the same OS (Windows and gonna use nicehash for starters...) ??...

thanks,
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3070 Twin Edge OC as a mining card ?... on: February 21, 2021, 01:10:40 PM
Any brand of gpu will work for mining, even if it's fanless or water cooling it doesn't matter, they will perform the same way as other graphics card, as per what type of power supply can power 5x 3070 a 1000watt power supply will do fine

seriously a 1000w is enough for 4x 3070s ??!...
204  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: almost had a heart attack ! BTC Funds Inaccessible !... on: February 21, 2021, 09:59:23 AM
They send funds to your xpub wallet address which was something new to me !
Your xpub is not an address, but rather, can be used to generate all the addresses in your wallet. By providing the service with your xpub, they can generate a new address from your wallet for each customer.

so what is the difference between Besh32 and P2sh Huh
Bech32 is the newest address type, also known as native segwit. P2SH stands for pay-to-script-hash, an older address type, which also includes nested segwit addresses. Both are completely standard addresses, both can be used by most wallets (including Trezor), and both can send funds to any other type of address. Bech32 gives cheaper fees.

ended up in a Besh32 Account under trezor which ended up being INACCESSIBLE !!!!!!!!!
In what way is it inaccessible? Looks to be perfectly accessible from your screenshot.

can i send those to a kraken account or an exodus wallet or not Huh
Yes, you can.

and how to deal with those two different besh32 and p2sh BTC protocols Huh?
You don't need to do anything. Coins and transaction on both address types work exactly the same from your point of view.

so any reason for me to worry if i send funds from besh32 to another wallet, trading platform ??
No reason to worry. Some older services will not allow you to withdraw money to a bech32 address, but every service will allow you to deposit coins from a bech32 address.

What if i send my BTC from that besh32 account in trezor to another p2sh wallet and vice versa ??
Again, there will be no issues with doing this.

thanks a lot i truly appreciate your inputs on this issue, i think the trezor is buggy it said account does not exist on the trezor suite as well as their web interface,
http://grabilla.com/0b214-37c3ccb1-af17-4afd-a33b-b5edebc04d2d.png

but when i tried the trezor on my laptop i was able to gain access to those funds ! so am confused  Huh

thanks,,,
205  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / almost had a heart attack ! BTC Funds Inaccessible !... on: February 20, 2021, 10:35:15 PM
Hi Guys,

This must be the worse experience i ever had as a BTC newbie still trying to figure my way around in this blockchain MAZE !!...

am a service provider reselling my service using WHMCS, i am using blockonomics to receive payments from my clients, the sh*t thing about this service is 1) it doesnt support AltCoins, 2) the settings part was kinda complex to me...

They send funds to your xpub wallet address which was something new to me !

anyways, i changed that xpub to my trezor T wallet due to its portability (i guess), they also had to send a test transaction to your wallet and that went SUCCESSFUL !

the weird thing though i discovered that trezor created a NEW btc account in the wallet when my clients started paying me in crypto, so what is the difference between Besh32 and P2sh Huh, i really dont wanna go all technical about it, and i almost had a f**** heart attack today when i received 2k USD from clients and ended up in a Besh32 Account under trezor which ended up being INACCESSIBLE !!!!!!!!!

it seems to be a bug in the trezor suite, but neither would those funds show up in trezor.io too !!!

can i send those: http://grabilla.com/0b214-5b3af58e-1cf5-40ca-af86-8b41a80227ce.png
to a kraken account or an exodus wallet or not Huh

and how to deal with those two different besh32 and p2sh BTC protocols Huh?

It reads the following under besh32:
"Bech32 uses the most modern addresses for smallest transaction fees. Be aware that it may not be compatible with old bitcoin services."
so any reason for me to worry if i send funds from besh32 to another wallet, trading platform ??

What if i send my BTC from that besh32 account in trezor to another p2sh wallet and vice versa ??

thanks...

207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3070 Twin Edge OC as a mining card ?... on: February 20, 2021, 07:34:35 PM
This card is very good, it's energy efficiency I could have buy two RTX3070 instead of buying 4 gtx1660 super, the two RTX will net me 120-124MH at 240 watts while the 4 gtx1660 super is netting me 126MH at 320 watts, as you can see the RTX wins here, less power consumption is what I needed the most because I'm running on solar power

i managed to find 3060Ti for 127$ Less, but the problem is i already ordered a couple of 3070s, so can i mix both 3060 Ti and 3070 on the same rig ? how to go about nVidia drivers with two different cards on the same OS ?...

thanks,

yes smos will do that 3070+3070+3090

what is smos ?!?...

Good card for mining , you can get 60-62MH/s on ETH mining with a little bit of fine tuning Smiley

But ... if you can buy a 3060TI , you can get the same hashrate , for much lower price .

Please dont be that person who buying over priced GPU's from scalpers

The question is,  worth to buy those cards for mining ?

HERE is a good reading for you, if you did not read that topic yet Smiley

what about mixing different cards (same 3070s) on the same rig ? is it ok ?...

Hi guys

Seen a lot.of these lately they are small and thin, only question is r they suitable for a mining rig say running 5 of these ?

Any one had any shortcoming from this card for mini g ?? What hash rate should I expect per card for eth ??...

Hope someone can help before I buy more ...

Thanks,
211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How to go about this ?... on: February 16, 2021, 03:12:01 AM
Hi guys,

Just want to know how do HODLERS go about storing and making sense out of their BTC when they purchased at different rates throughout several years...

I first bought 0.75 BTC @ 7k $  Grin Grin And having it stored in my personal offline wallet,

Then i bought 0.075 BTC @ 35k $ and had to stored it in the same wallet,

Finally i just purchased yesterday approx 0.0535 worth of BTC @ 49K $ (still not a bad time to buy IMO)

I also occasionally receive funds from my clients in BTC and decided to just HODL it at DIFFERENT RATES...

As you can tell i bought BTC at different rates within the past 4 years and stored them in the same wallet eventually, but id like to know how to go about managing my funds in a same wallet without confusing at which price i bought each time  Huh Huh Huh
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: how many GPUs will this board support for mining ? on: February 14, 2021, 04:03:28 AM
It has six gpu slots but you can't really tell until you insert 6x GPUs in the motherboard, some MOBO will have 6x space for gpu and the MOBO will fail to recognize all the graphic cards, if that happens well you can change gen mode in bios and try risers but if none of that works you will have to accept whatever the MOBO allows on board

i know i will use risers as i said in my initial post, but is there a chance such a high end MOBO will fail to detect at least 5 GPUs ?! change the Gen for what exactly ?...

thanks,
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / how many GPUs will this board support for mining ? on: February 12, 2021, 08:54:22 PM
Hi guys,

i found out my X99 Deluxe actually has 5x PCI full size Slots and one Small PCI-E Slot,

https://dlcdnimgs.asus.com/websites/global/products/WodJPah7ECKFSsxv/img/hp/overview/overview-full.png

my question here will this board support 6x GPUs for mining or just 5x ?...

can a gpu be hooked up through a riser to the Small PCI-E Slot or not ??...

thanks,
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: server motherboards for mining rigs on: February 05, 2021, 04:22:13 AM
You should be fine, update the bios to the lastest if all the PCIe slits don't work and make sure you use risers to power the graphic cards to get better cooling temperature, drop your feed back when you set things up and running

thanks a lot EVERYONE for the encouraging start Cheesy

- yes i have 2x Xeons AMOF i have all components since those were my production servers for years but now am into mining, also they have 192 GB RAM, mmmm, can those RAM be utilized for mining somehow Huh

- dont worry boys i probably wont use the CPUs for mining...

- ya bios akready udadated to pretty much latest as ive been using them for few years,,,

will keep u posted, but first we need to get some decent damn Graphics Cards to start mining, Geeeeez....

216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / server motherboards for mining rigs on: February 03, 2021, 05:36:19 AM
Hello,

I have two server setups (Boards, CPUs, ECC RAM etc...) which am thinking to hook up some GPUs to and start mining,

the boards I have ATM are:-

X9DRi-F: https://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon/C600/X9DRi-F.cfm
X9DR7-LN4F: https://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/xeon/c600/x9dr7-ln4f.cfm

of course they come with their CPUs, and compatible RAM

Will those boards be suitable for mining ? and how many GPUs can i hook up to each one ?

Finally, will a Desktop PSU hook up just fine to those ?...

thanks,

cex.io

ما رأيكم ب:
bithumb
stex

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5168200.0

a small trick i can teach you guys, buy your hardware online and ask the seller to declare it as USED item or declare the cost for the item waaaay cheaper than original price, some sellers will accept this, i bought my MSI laptop this way, he declared it for 100$ lol and i paid only 3$ tax Smiley

thank you for your advise, i think i will buy my 3080 from outside turkey then and bring them in...
