We are not here to talk about DRK. i think he meant xc  Oke, I don't like it when it is stable, it either goes down a lot after a little while or it goes up, but most of the times it goes down. Equal wealth of distribution, brother. This is good for a long term currency that we all are striving for. By we I mean, us cryptocurrency freaks. Funny how cryptocurrency is not even a word in the dictionary. I'd just like to point out regarding the impatience and short-sightedness growing in this community. I believe, all of us are a part of a great purpose that's taking place right now, at this moment, during the fall of 2014 when the world is transitioning through a paradigm shift in the financial industry with the help of a disruptive technology that's one of a kind. A kind of which, the world hasn't yet seen. Sure, there are Facebooks and Apples of our times and I think, they will be kind of like our predecessors in the technological journey. Now that we are aware of how a decentralized currency works, the collective human mind will catch up and build other stuff on it. Cause, that's we do as species, as humans, we build. The implementation of a decentralized money-making system should change everything. It should transform how our institutions operate and carry out their business for the better good of public. Transparency among businesses and the value for privacy is already a huge deal for the western nations. Sorry, I'm a bit high and I'm just trying to write something regarding how Bitcoin changed my life and how it's so great to finally believe in something. Sure we will fuck up and make a havoc while we reach there, but till we are there, I don't see a better coin to be invested in alongside with Bitcoin. XC as an investment, as a product, as a coin, and as a community, is an open testimony that we are here for innovation and we are here for mutual growth. Can anybody explain why the trade volume of XC is so low? When XC was on its way to 500k the trade volume was way higher, what happened?
Well, maybe, it's because people are boarding on the LTC train. My friend who wanted to buy XC after much convincing decided that it's profitable to make some gains in other markets before investing in XC. I am assuming that's what certain investors might be doing but its just a guess.. It has gotten to the point now where I am not even worried I will miss out on a price spike any time soon it seems like so I have put my money for investing elsewhere where I can actually see some gains. Why park money now when there is no indication the price is going to go up, even if it does, it always comes back down shortly after... its pretty much locked in a certain area now. Yep, I agree. Not that I don't believe in this project and it's team but it has been more than 2 months now and I can understand the frustration and impatience kickin in. Same, I have not dumped one XC outside of the start sell to cover mining costs back then... and have in fact invested much more into XC.... the long game is there, but that does not pay the bills sorry. Many of us dont have the luxery to sit on 300- 800 a month just buying XC and sitting and waiting for.... nothing in price climb. I can totally relate to it, buddy. But I suppose that's part of the risk, isn't it? |

So what is it with absent volume on XC? Has everyone bought who was supposed to buy? Are we waiting for new investors? I realize we usually see heated activity from the team during the last week of the month.

One person keep making non-factual statements against a community is trolling. But an entire community speak out against one person is a public outrage.
This “silverkinguk” guy’s disrespectfulness and authoritative tone has clearly caused an outrage here. XC team member shouldn’t allow to speak to our community this way.
But those are just sentimental issues, let’s focus on the real issues here, the “collaboration”.
I encourage our community to go over the Qibuck thread and learn more about them. You can see that Qibuck is a much inferior coin and this “collaboration” does not make any sense. This “silverkinguk” guy and that qiwomen are the co-founder of Qibuck. It seems that he is much more invested in the Qibuck project than he is with the XC community. Is he doing what’s best for XC or is he doing what’s best for him and Qibuck? There is clearly a conflict of interest here.
It does appear to me that this guy is using his title of “XC foundation member” to promote his own coin. What has he really done for the XC community anyway? Does he really deserve to be on the XC team?
I think we should have a voting system in case like this. For every 1000xc you hold, you will have 1 vote. We as a community, should be able to vote on whether or not we want a “collaboration” with his coin, and whether or not we want this person to be on the team. NO one person should have the power to just come in here and tell everybody to shut up and listen to him.
I promise you that this collaboration will be hugely to XC's benefit. The details of it will be announced tomorrow. Personally I'm not of the opinion that silverkinguk conducted himself ethically. However this isn't to assert that the people who attacked qiwoman last night and who repeatedly criticised the collaboration acted ethically either. It was a shameful mess all round. It has also been made known to me that some people associated with XC have been fudding other coins, and this is completely awful. We loathe FUD wherever it may be found and XC does not support it or associate itself with it in any way. If anyone here has fudded any other coin (including QiBuck), I ask you please to publicly apologise (both here and on its thread) and to publicly state that your actions have nothing whatsoever to do with XC. XC has slowly but surely gained credibility after the FUD launched at it by a competitor. Why make a mockery of what XC has fought hard to put behind it? +1. Please let's go back to the way we were. Polite and accepting. This was XC for me except the last few pages. No one gets little by a little apology. |

Keep in mind a lot of altcoins investors are loosing a lot of money, it could deeply affect their life. We should not enjoy it and show some respect. Our community and investors demionstrate every days how much we trust our team and project, it's the best free adverstising possible. Investors sold out on others coins and now have liquidity, they will start to search for very solid investment. It could change the mindset of the entire market. From a PnD strategy insvestors will start to look for a very solid project/team and community. We should be prepared to explain : What is the reasons for XC to stand so well? I love the idea of a moderated only Q/A thread for XC. Because questions of news investors would not be lost in the middle of hundred page. Our team could gain time not having to respond severals times the same questions. Some investors could be discouraged to spend severals hours searching for informations. It should be as simple as possible to understand the value of XC. As every misfortune it always create opportunity. XC will automatically gain visibility as long as we continue to hold strong together. Let's prove to the world how XC community/team/project are solid . Totally agree with it. Let's show them a safe haven in crypto world by mutual respect. |

Looking at DRK, CLOAK and BC I think its amazing how stable the XC price is.  I never thought cloak would drop this far, did anything bad happen over there or its just whales leaving after weeks? It was hype all along. No real support. 700 BTC is all it took to hit the floors. Besides, I never even gave it a 0.1% chance to it due to the name. Who the fuck buys Cloak? |

looks good:  Cool, but I personally don't feel comfortable linking my bank account to any of these exchanges that have been hacked. if i recall correctly, my first trade was because of moolah (and two other accounts pumping the same coin) ...i only traded twice and lost before i landed on xc and stuck. just from my own limited personal experience, i'm leary of anything moolah says (does he hack too?) ...when is mintpal going to be implementing xctech? have they switched hands yet? what's xctech? |

Dont look now but BTC is starting to bounce back up... soon other certain coins will follow I am sure.
Wouldn't be really sure of it if I was you. During the last Nov 13 rally of BTC, all other alts went down while BTC was soaring through new levels. It was only in the last two weeks of November that we saw about 1000% rise in popular alts back then. I suppose this was a tactic to get impatient traders sell their precious alts to catch the BTC train. Be careful guys, this is a heavily manipulated market. Dumping for XC happened long ago. Eventually the money is gonna want to find someplace to invest after the BTC train slows down. This could very well be what happen last time, investment in certain alts. I agree. If only we follow our stable rise and move along with BTC, there wouldn't be heavy dumping afterwards. Also, it will gather attention to XC from all market participants. Not saying that won't happen otherwise. I'm pretty confident about it. |

We should make a decision right now that if an exchange gets hacked and XC is stolen there will be no rollback or blacklist. It is what it is.
Anyone who has there XC sitting on an exchange and is that stupid deserves anything that may happen..yes i agree. Right now, around 13.43% of XC is sitting in Mintpal. http://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/#!wallets If you have a lot of coins sitting at Mintpal, what are you thinking? They got hacked recently. Bter's NXT hack might be some new unknown attack vector that could be affecting Mintpal or other exchange too. What are you waiting for? Withdraw those XC away from the exchange! 12.24% of XC now sitting on MintPal. Seems like we'll be running out of supply to meet the demand very soon. |

Here's an idea: - every so often, some of us will want to sell XC to pay salaries, rent, etc. - why don't we post the amount and asking price here and see if there are any takers? - if there's a deal, trades can take place on Mintpal, which will keep the volume up. - and the community will understand the reason for selling rather than being perturbed/outraged at the stupidity of sellers. P.S. This was Bisky's idea. Thanks Bisky! P.P.S. This would only make sense to those who want to see the price head upwards but still need to sell some XC. Sounds like a great idea. But, shouldn't this be done on a separate sub-thread? I mean, XC trade thread could deal with whatever people want to exchange. |
