201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Word of encouragement for Bitcoin investors on: March 16, 2023, 09:22:50 AM
It could get to the point where many crypto investors will start giving up on their dreams, the air will be filled with the word 'crypto is dead' and it will feel like it's over for crypto, this SVB issue might be the bringer of that weird feeling into crypto space once again, after the year 2020 collapse, still, I believe that Bitcoin should be everyone's main target, this present hassle in crypto space will once again prove to the world why Bitcoin is truly the people's money.

So my dear friends,  do not give up,  what is coming can be faith-shaking, be prepared for the worst.

Keep dollar cost averaging.

Your long-term investment should include money that you won't need in the near future.

Have it in mind, Bitcoin doesn't always go down forever, it always passes the test of time.
I would say that looking at what is going on with the banking world right now and how the government is trying to save their ass again, I would say that it is actually pretty smart to invest into crypto right now, bitcoin is by far better than any fiat currency in the world and not investing into it is not just a choice, but also a very silly move.

I am not saying put 100% into bitcoin but by looking at what is going on with silicon valley bank, second biggest bank in the nation, you could see that fiat is fragile and even though bitcoin does go down, it never crashes to zero and takes your money with it, at least you know that it will go down but then go up.
202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trust in cryptocurrency? on: March 15, 2023, 08:58:05 PM
What the government does is to spread awareness in order not to fall into scams because a lot of scammers had used the name Bitcoin to trick innocent people and then just gone. But unfortunately, with that idea, many people have been thinking negatively and they thought that Bitcoin is totally a scam thing. That is why I don't blame people to think that way as well because of the lack of education to make these things clear to them and they need someone who has the dedication to help their locals understand crypto and stop them from believing negatively.
Thats what really happening right now, people who have lack of knowledge about cryptocurrency thinks its a scam because of what they saw on news where lots of people got scammed on it. They easily lose trust on it without giving time on themselves to find what is true. If They only knew how things work on crypto I guess their mind would change somehow.
Unfortunately it is such an easy thing to call bitcoin a scam, because there has been a lot of scams in the industry so it is easy to call it a scam. I am not saying that they are wrong, there is a truth in it that there are a lot of companies and projects that are trying to scam you all the time, if you are not careful then you will be scammed so they are right about that.

But that is only the people in the industry, the coin itself is not a scam and bitcoin will always be there to protect your money. If you keep it in fiat, we have seen how terrible things could happen to it whereas if you keep it in crypto  then you are going to be fine about it.

Sometimes i do ask for the casino this platform operate with but i couldn't get an answer, so it depends on people you feel like asking, since i come to this platform i was wondering if this platform is for poker games or normal casino kind of gambling, because i have never seen than.
This site doesn't look like a typical casino has a lot of games because on this site there are only dice rolls, lottery tickets and sports bets, but it's worth registering and seeing what's interesting, you can start for free by doing free spins every hour earn bitcoins it's also free from this site, if you are a beginner you can try it at any time.
I think it is important to focus on the part where they give so much for free, which would be a lot better for the newbie people. You could come here and gamble with your money and earn something or lose money and all that, just like any other casino in the world.

However, when you gamble here, you also end up getting a chance to get free faucet (doesn't require gambling), then free lambo ticket, and free weekly ticket, and free reward points all at the same time as well. That means you are actually getting so much in price of just one, and it doesn't even require you to lose, if you gamble 100 dollars and win that bet, that is all you need, you just got 100 dollars wagered even if it was a win.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: March 15, 2023, 04:14:23 PM
Kinda like how it was last year?  It could happen but dunno...  The new cars seem to have everything in order except for a couple of adjustments in the upper midtable, like Aston Martin getting replaced by Mercedes by the time the GP's go to Europe?

I feel like Mercedes' engineering team are too good to be beaten by the likes of Aston Martin.  But it's a good start and it's good to see imho.  The team I want to see rise on the grid is Williams.
The problem for Mercedes is that Aston Martin engineers are not Aston Martin engineers, it was the red bull engineers that walked away and joined Aston Martin and that caused the special betterment of the car suddenly. That type of improvement doesn't happen suddenly just because your engineers figured something out, they literally replaced a whole set of engineers with new ones from red bull, and those engineers knew the secret of redbull and how they got so fast, and used the same thing on Aston martin.

By the looks of it, I can say that they could be as high as second right now, even better than Ferrari, so we will see if that's the case again this race as well.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: March 15, 2023, 02:23:24 PM
I think decision to make it 12 groups with 4 teams is good. If they increased number of teams in groups there would be huge lack of competition and many teams would drive matches to 0-0 or 1-1 intentionally. I think this design is better even because third places in groups can be very worthwhile now if you are successful team. 8 out of 12 means, technically, it's very high chance that you get to next round if you win only 1 little match. Wonderful.
I think the decision with the new format was to accommodate the aspirations of the many teams participating and that was the best option, because with more teams that will qualify for the knockout rounds it will increase the motivation of each team to prepare themselves so they can at least qualify for the knockout rounds, because teams that have often played in the World Cup will be counted as strong teams so that it can be relatively easy to qualify for the next round.
I agree, plus this will make sure that big teams do not get there and then suddenly suck, because we have seen plenty of "good" teams that ended up in the group stages and started to lose games, if there are more teams then either those good teams will have to play better, or the teams that they beat to get there will have another chance to go further.

Look at Germany, they managed to go to world cup and then suck big time there, was that fair to whoever they displaced when they got here? If that team whoever they are was there, maybe they would play better and go out of the group stages? That is why it is important to include more teams to keep everyone on their toes.
206  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and Rich on: March 15, 2023, 01:53:30 PM
the quotes you make have indeed been heard many times among the people, but what is happening now is not all like these quotes because nowadays many rich people fall into poverty and vice versa, so everything has been arranged by the creator we can only live and continue to strive so that in the future it will be better than today, Everyone has their own privileges even though we are poor but there is something that the rich do not have, so keep the spirit of never despair, hopefully we will all become people who can always benefit others.
I do not know what the poor has over the rich that rich do not have, but I rather be rich than poor and I am not rich right now, it would be sinister to say that I am poor, considering everyone else in my city I would consider myself as middle income person, not rich but at least I have food in my belly and have a house and clothes, which I know doesn't seem like a big deal and basic human needs but poor in my city can't even afford most of that.

In the end, I rather be rich and not have whatever you claim rich people don't have, instead of being poor and have whatever that was. In the end rich people can do whatever they want, and that will feel a lot better for them.
207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 14, 2023, 09:36:32 PM
Problems with PSG defense is clear that makes them weak in Champions League but in Ligue 1, it does not mean a lot for them. Their attacking system can cover weakness of their defense and they are still a strongest club there. 10 point gap is a solid evidence of their domination in Ligue 1 even they have not too strong defense and spent their focus on Champions League in many weeks.
I agree that the poor defense and the aggressiveness of the players who are not good have made PSG fail from the Champions League this season.
But of course it will not negatively affect their chances in Ligue 1. PSG appear to dominate Ligue 1 with better quality players than many other teams, and a 10 point advantage over their rivals will take PSG closer to the title this season.

However, PSG must also focus on improving its defensive performance. As a big team that can always qualify for the Champions League, PSG must have a good stability of the team which will ultimately affect their chances. If PSG's squad depth is evenly distributed in all positions, then their chances of reaching the final are better.
I always thought that lack of decent midfield was the main reason for their losses, both in the league and at UCL as well. Lets take a look at the midfield of the team that lost to Bayern, Nuno mendes at left (normally a wing back) fabian ruiz, veratti, vitinha, hakimi (once again wing back) and to be fair their defense is not the defense we all remember neither, not anyone aside from marquinhos, because it is a very old ramos plus perreira there too.

So, can we really say that this was a good midfield? Not even good defense but it's a horrible midfield if you ask me. In a game where they have world stars mbappe and messi at the front, not having anyone like that anywhere else is the real reason.
208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 14, 2023, 08:55:10 PM
This apart from making Napoli increasingly the ruler, on the other hand this has also made it clear to me that Serie A teams apart from Napoli always experience consistency problems towards the end of the season.
I don't feel this problem happens to only Seria A team, it is always very difficult towards the end of the season in any league, except the team is very consistent that season, it has happened to Napoli before in other seasons were they were so good in the beginning of the season, but very bad and inconsistent towards the end of the season, but they are so good and consistent this season, that is why it didn't happen to them.

The 18 points lead Napoli has at the top of the seria A table is so big, and surely they are going to be the seria A champions, what the other big teams are challenging for now is to qualify for the champions league, Napoli are going to win the league even with many matches remaining.
I think that is mainly because teams who do not have any type of experience at the finishing parts of the season that they end up getting worse with hype, because it requires a special skill to be great at the end of the seasons, not only everyone feels more and more tired and you need to constantly switch some players in order to rest someone, you do not get the best eleven out there most weeks because everyone keeps needing rest and that is why 2-3 players are at resting during game days.

That is just one issue, the fact that most teams get more stressed and anxious about getting the title that they start to lose more because of that as well. Napoli had none of that this season.
209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: March 14, 2023, 08:22:59 PM
In the previous season a surprise occurred because Eintracht Frankfurt as the underdog team won the Europa League title
There are underdogs to make surprises in some seasons but not all of underdogs can complete their journeys with a title. It barely has happy ending for underdogs like Frankfurt in the past season. Like in World Cup 2018, we had Croatia that went to a final match but because they are underdog, they have to spent so much energy in previous matches and in final, they just exhausted and were beaten by France.
I think we can say that one of the teams you named will win it, no other small club could beat them multiple times, I would understand if some smaller club beat one of these teams, but to be able to beat all of them and get the cup won't be possible if you ask me.

I can as much as guarantee that the winner of this years cup will be one of the teams that are at the top, Arsenal, United, Juventus, Roma or Sevilla, these are the only options that will win it in the end. Maybe one of them will lose to some silly team in the end, Sevilla looks like they are not that great this season, maybe they will lose, but Arsenal looks like they could win against anyone.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth staking stablecoins? on: March 14, 2023, 04:53:09 AM
I have some USDT and USDC in my portfolio that I'd want to stake in a "De-Fi" dApp without worrying about it in a long time. There are liquidity pools in Uniswap with attractive stake rates, but there's also Compound.Finance with its lending services. Both of these platforms are built on the ETH blockchain, so gas fees would be astronomically high. I've read about some platforms being compatible with Polygon (MATIC), but I'd have yet to see if it's worth the shot (especially in terms of security/reliability).
Today we have seen why all these fiat currencies are not to be invested, and that is one of the reasons why you shouldn't have stablecoins and evidently not stake them as well. I mean 1 usdt worths 1 usd, and usd is terrible if you ask me, if 1 usd is terrible then 1 usdt is terrible too, no matter if you stake it or not.

As long as governments keep on printing money and mismanaging the economy, the value of dollar (and all other fiats) will drop, and because they drop, even when you stake it you are losing the purchasing power. If dollar loses 10% value and you stake 5% back, that is not a profit, that is actually losing money and you should keep it in bitcoin instead.
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: March 13, 2023, 08:24:11 PM
I generally don't agree with Academy when it comes to Best Picture winners (looking back at the last ~15 years, the only time I actually agreed with them was Nomadland), this is the first time I disliked the winner so much I couldn't even finish it and probably won't even give it a 2nd chance. Kudos to Everything Everywhere All at Once though, not an easy feat to win 7 Oscars, especially not for movie with smaller production.

Biggest surprise for me was that The Banshees of Inisherin didn't win a single Oscar. While I knew that Colin Farrell beating Brendan Fraser is unlikely (even though i preferrede Colin's performance), I still hoped for at least for Best Original Screenplay but I guess since movie didn't have any woke bs, chances to win anything were slim to none.

Needless to say I failed miserably at betting because I went for those who I though should win, not for those who I thought would probably win. Cheesy
You are 100% right if you ask me. The movie was a terrible one and Oscars are getting worse and worse gradually, the party itself and the entertainment it provides still holds if you ask me, all the talks beforehand, all the speeches, all the funny moments that happens they are all great in my book, but the actual movies and the winners? Absolutely horrible.

This year the one I agree with so much was Brendan Fraser who won the best actor category, that dude was awesome in the movie and I agree that he deserved to win, and after such a long time being absent from the big name list, he is finally back again and that means so much to me because I loved him growing up.
212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 13, 2023, 06:50:22 PM
Liverpool surprised everyone with a big win against Manchester United. But even then they could not return to form. Liverpool has lost against teams like Bournemouth. From this, it can be easily deduced that the performance of this group is very erratic. However, the Real Madrid team must play carefully. Because Liverpool has already proven that they are capable of winning by big margins even against strong opponents. Manchester United's defense was not weak. Even then, Liverpool managed to score 7 goals. And so if Real Madrid doesn't perform carefully and keep their defense tight then they are likely to lose by a big margin.
Liverpool have yet to find consistency in their form of play, after managing to leave an impression that is hard to forget for the Manchester United public, Liverpool couldn't do anything in the next game which made them have to accept an embarrassing defeat to Bournemouth.
Inconsistent performance means that Liverpool will experience difficulties when away to the Santiago Bernabeu. The results of the first leg made Liverpool even more depressed. Although anything can happen in football, I'm not sure Liverpool can score 4 goals without conceding at home to Real Madrid.
I think it is normal for them to be on a high after such a big win, it was obvious that they got a bit lucky and they needed to work hard to win every single game. However, they felt like we beat united 7-0, we can easily defeat bournemouth" and that type of cocky attitude cost them the game.

They have been playing with lack of fire for all season and that is why they are losing, we have seen it time and time after again which is why I doubt that it would be easy for them to recover since it's such a long standing issue. We should just accept that they are going to suck this year, and will have to just focus on next season already.
213  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin go back to 19000 on: March 13, 2023, 03:59:30 PM
The official bank runs has kick started , silvergate, Silicon valley bank has collapsed as a result of Fed jacking of rates and with this contagion event hitting the banks, great depression has started already. Fed is going to have an emergency meeting soon and likely Banks bailouts will begin, basically start pumping of money into the economy.

Bitcoin had a nice pullback and reached price target perfectly at 19k level as expected and got a nice bounce following the news about Fed's possible bank bailout.
Therefore, In my general view about Bitcoin's future price, Bitcoin needs to hold the $21.5k and $21k support level and too if Fed says they're stoping rate hikes in their next meeting and they come in to bailout the banks, This will be a catalyst for Bitcoin to start skyrocketing in price.
I think this is not going to be over anytime soon, there will be a good amount of time before we could see it change and I think it is going to be a tough time for people to actually consider this as a possibility. I know that it is not going to be that easy to consider this as an option for a while but this bank run shows once again that everyone should have at least a bit of bitcoin.

I have all my savings in bitcoin and I am not suggesting everyone around the world to the same, that would be too much for people who never had any, and this volatility that we have could hurt a lot of people. However, everyone should put AT LEAST 10% of their savings into bitcoin.
214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 12, 2023, 08:53:18 PM
Honestly I don't see Mbappe transfer to Real Madrid like impossible in the summer. It is quite possible especially after this result of PSG in the Champions League. They were really bad against Bayern Munich as they couldn't even score a goal. A team with the aim of winning the Champions League title shouldn't be that bad at scoring goals in the end. You have Mbappe and Messi both in the attacking line but still you can't do anything. In this situation Mbappe might want to join a winner team finally.

Players like Richarlison and Gonçalo Ramos are also strikers rumoured to replace Benzema but I don't think so. Mbappe would be their main target.
Mbappe to Real is still not an impossible to happen. If they could just pay him the salary, and pay the club whatever they want, and mbappe agrees to the club not to get the rest of his loyalty bonus, then it's done, it will happen.

In this situation, Real is spending a lot of money, PSG is earning a lot of money and Mbappe is still playing like he should be just for another club without much financial issues I assume, or maybe a little less I don't know what Real would offer. All in all it is possible and depends on teams and mbappe to get a deal, it's contractually possible thing to happen. However, I think Mbappe likes the control he has over PSG instead of wins, and that is why he will stay.
215  Economy / Speculation / Re: When you're so inlove with BTC on: March 12, 2023, 09:18:55 AM
In life we must always be realistic and logical, currently bitcoin is very valuable but we don't know if it is still worth another year, 10 years and so on, what is certain is that changes will continue to occur and technological changes can occur quickly, I suggest not to save too much bitcoin too long, if you have profit it is better to sell than we lose the moment to sell when the price is high.
I can't accept the advice you gave me now because for me the current Bitcoin price is still quite cheap if I compare it to the ATH price that happened to Bitcoin. So I may still have to hold on for a long time to see a much higher price than now, and besides I also monitor the Bitcoin market very often every day to see what the price of Bitcoin is today. So that can definitely help me a little when I want to sell Bitcoin at a high price, and do you think that's quite logical and realistic?
I agree, there will always be people with some doubt about bitcoin and I can respect that, doubt is the key to start checking things and learning more about it, and learning more about things opens the door for being wiser and that is why doubt is the most important characteristic of people.

However, when it comes to current situation we are in right now, I think it is important to also learn more about bitcoin and why it is still quite cheap and we can be so much higher in 10 years. There won't be any technological improvements that will see bitcoin go down, maybe something else could go up, but bitcoin will go up as well and that is why I trust it so much.
216  Economy / Economics / Re: War: who benefits and how! on: March 12, 2023, 06:03:58 AM
for me there is nothing profitable because both of them suffered losses both financially and human lives and will always be remembered badly in the future, although there are winners I don't think they are also profited because it is considered a usurpation that they did by making a resistance, but for other countries that sell arms to the two countries that are at war it is indeed very profitable, but for those who are at war like today russia and ukraine they are equally detrimental.
I think Putin may have? I am not entirely sure and I do not know Russian politics but it is obvious that he did it to consolidate power and he wanted to control the nation in a way like "we are in a war right now and you are talking about politics, shame on you! how can you speak these things when we are in a war!" type of way.

I know this because I have seen it happen a million times in history, people who were barely in power created chaos so that they could act as if they are controlling the chaos and ignore the fact that they were the ones who created the chaos, and they will find someone supporting them as well. You will see that Putin won't give up power unless he dies or he is killed, there is no way to democratically get rid of him, impossible.
217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: March 11, 2023, 08:08:02 PM
I hope the committee appointed by FIFA on those countries (Canada/Mexico/United States) is not corrupted. Because honest people will work perfectly and don't want to get intervention from the parent organization (FIFA). but of course, honest people will be got a consequence if the committee doesn't comply with what FIFA wants like being fired halfway. Maybe we won't be surprised to hear that at the next event if have a substitution of the committees.
I highly doubt there is a "need" for corruption in this one. I mean it is a very rich nation along with another rich nation with a big football culture nation all got together and that means that we are talking about enough money to have stadiums that are world cup level and enough attention that it does as well as you can hope for. Plus, all the hotels and roads and extra whatevers would be fine as well, there won't be an issue.

I believe that corruption only is valid worry if the nation that won it has absolutely no football background and doesn't even have any money spent on it while just spending the money on getting the world cup. If you are a team that does well enough, then I guess you could win it without worrying about corruption.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: March 11, 2023, 05:14:18 PM
It's ten hag who has been pushing the club after it was losing against liverpool with embarrassing scores. Glad to see that with threats that already issued by ten hag already made MU's players if the problems must be fixed as soon as possible. Betis is not having chance to be qualified for the next round. I were feeling so mad when pellegrini as betis's coach was mocking MU and EPL. I think that if pellegrini must try to see himself. Glad to see that if betis was already destroyed by MU and that was also giving betis no chance to make come back. Im sure that if MU will be winning easily in the second leg. Betis looks like an easy opponent for MU. A method to give MU's players a threat was working perfectly. None of players wanna be relegated into the u21 team
I think it was obvious from the start that it was just a one game mistake and they wouldn't be that bad for a long time. It's nice to see them winning like this, and it wasn't like some close win neither, they won easily and dominated the whole game but we knew that they were capable of winning like that whenever they played hard and that Liverpool game was just one game out of so many during the season.

They have been fine for a while now and I think they will be fine for the rest of the season and that will stay as just one bad game that they had and nothing more than that. I know it must felt humiliating to have that, but that doesn't change anything in the long run.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 11, 2023, 04:35:14 PM
Football is a game that needs to create a great relationship from the defense line app to the offensive line so that any team will be able to perform well. But this thing is sorely lacking in the PSG team. As a result, the team is currently unbalanced.
I think it will take a while before they can realize that spending a ton of money on few superstars will not make a good team. This is basically a system that the owners put in place, they wanted players like neymar, mbappe, messi and so forth in order to make a big name in the world and it worked in a sense that they are a lot more media-friendly right now and everyone talks about that, that much is true.

However, if you want to have a great team, then you need to have great players in every position. If people all around the world knows your 3-4 players, but can't name 3 players on your midfield, then you are not doing a good job building that roster.
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trust in cryptocurrency? on: March 10, 2023, 09:10:23 PM
Cryptocurrencies are designed as a technology that works without depending on a central authority. As such, they can be seen as a trusted currency for some people, but may be perceived as unsafe for others. Therefore, more information and understanding is needed for cryptocurrencies to gain general acceptance. I believe that cryptocurrencies will enter our lives in the future, but it is unclear how long this process will take and how widespread they will be. Accelerating this process depends on wider adoption and increased use of cryptocurrencies.

Cryptocurrencies should be secured in the same way as other currencies. With the development and implementation of security protocols, cryptocurrencies can become more secure. However, this process can be volatile and, like any technological development, can carry risks.
The creation of bitcoin was so that you would have a coin that you wouldn't have to "trust", it was decentralized and that means there was no trust needed at all, there was no need for trust, there was no use for trust in this market.

It was your money and nobody could touch it at all. First they created a situation where people would give tens of thousands of bitcoins worth to exchanges and other centralized figures, then they created tokens and coins where centralized dev teams would control it fully, and now they are asking if crypto is to be trusted. Well it didn't need it back when it started, then we happen to make it require it after a while, that's the sad thing.
