201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: March 22, 2024, 09:04:37 PM
Hi community,
When we make a bet and put our money on the line, we may lose money, time, and even some daily tasks that we neglect, and the first goal remains to make a quick profit with the largest possible amount of money, but I do not know why some people consider bets to be more  for fun  and a way to spend time than to win money.
The fact that anyone would neglect their goals to focus on gambling would already mean that they've slowly gotten into addiction without even knowing it... The worst thing to ever get conflicted with is being comfortable about how intensed your habit has become, or opposing people that tend to correct you.
Quote
Personally, I would consider it fun when my budget is much greater than my losses or when I gamble with someone else's money, and this is something I would not do if I had no benefit in it.
Anyone that decides to gamble would only start thinking of the benefits, before considering how effective they may be to claim them.

202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Friends engaging on P2P gambling insights grudges amongst themselves on: March 22, 2024, 08:30:23 PM
To me, in general, that seems wickedness of gambling between friends on a P2P because such friends are not worthy to be trusted considering the sentiments in playing to win.
what do you mean "sentiments" -- These was an agreement, and in all, it's supposed to be fun and not some disagreement.. do you think the other guy doesn't know the rules in gambling? Would you safely assume that he'd agree to share back the winnings if he was the winner? If not, why should anything change? That has nothing to do with anyone's trustworthiness.

I would say that is a daylight extortions amongst each others.

With all the evidences and proofs that gambling recklessly doesn't even make you lucky, neither does it increase the chances of your winnings; it only shows how careless and emotional you become when your loses accumulates...
Drugs, alcohol, sex addiction, AIDS...it's life itself, it affects everyone equally, what's the surprise here, atleast the guy earns money to pay for his addiction.
So you mean they both shouldn't try to stop wagering because they're earning much from the industry? Do you think there's an amount of money that can't get exhausted with time no matter how you utilize it??. It'll be so foolish of them that they're in their retirement age without anything to show forth.

I'd be more scared of going overboard and spending more than I had originally anticipated or having a losing streak resulting in a loss of capital than what the OP mentioned.
which means you already trust the process of centralization? Are you aware that any casino could fold up as a result of either being placed on a sanction, running bankrupt or flagged as a distrusted site without your knowledge? ..and in cases like that, refunds are not guaranteed?..lol There are so many other things to be scared of.

How will we know if this kind of movement by the casino owner is truly violating their own rules.
every casino has an official rules and TOS ... No additional sentiments, no adjustments, no evasion of any sort -- that'd happen outside their TOS.. you can quote and hold them responsible should they go against it.

205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 21, 2024, 09:44:22 PM
^ Mike is not struggling and AFAIK he is a Bitcoiner too. He recently earned money when he was on Francis Ngannou's team when Francis fought Fury.  This fight is just materializing because Mike wanna fight as well after all, the exhibition is what famous boxers are doing these days.  Conor Mcgregor even wants to fight Pacquiao so it's making money for both parties. That's why Mike is also up to hype the fight.
you seee, the big question there is; why is he still not backing off of this whole struggle just yet, when he's got lots and lots of legacies and wealth in-stock? We all knew Tyson to be a great fighter and he doesn't even need more validations to be called "Tyson".. but if he's not careful, he'll end up being beaten in that ring.. i just realized he's got enough time to train.

He is fortunate to still be able to take advantage of the opportunity of making some money through fighting.
Anybody that made a good legacy and thus, was retained by the company would still have some dividend at the end of every mega fight...

I’m talking about the potential problem that you might encounter in the casino. Personally,  My worst nightmare that I don’t want to happened to me is when I hit huge jackpot while the casino investigate my account ask documents that will support my financial capability on gambling.
first of all, what casino allows users to deposit and wager their funds without tendering the KYC requirements ? How do they go about their verification process? (I'm talking about crypto casinos)
Quote
I’m only reading this issue on scam accusation but this is painful if happened to me like hitting max multiplier on slot games that result to 50K profit. Can’t imagine finally hitting my dream multiplier then casino seize my profit. This is just an abstract discussion so we are not really assuming that casino will do this especially the reputable casino.
if that's the case, why don't you try as much as possible to verify all your documents? Cus even a trusted casino would do the same too...I've seen several cases being reported on the reputation board about this issue.

That's the last condition I'll let myself into.
The other video that I saw that he was not even present with the delivery of his first and second kid, he was done gambling and trying to make money for the hospital bills but it turns out that he losses in both time.
C'monnnn.... This is also his fault. Never try to depend on some unexpected funds for survival; didn't he develop some thoughts about it? Atleast he'd been making money from other sources before now, why didn't he pick that back up?

if I were a man, I wouldn't dare to pick any girl for cohabitation, talkmore of getting her impregnated... Sheees, get a life first!! It's even worse when the girl doesn't have anything to do too.

I've not Known Bruno to be a gambler...(not seen any update from him)I even had to look up his stories for a clue on how addictive gambling has been to him.. what's this update about him being indebted to MGM?

Drake on his own path has been gambling consistently and that's not surprising anymore... The worst part of his habits is making some publicity about it and people act off like it's cool, but in reality, it's not. His last, huge loss was very demeaning.

When everything's going well, it's cool. But sometimes (often?) money problems lead to divorce. Suppose your spouse/husband gambles a lot, his or her loss/profit ratio is acceptable (so it's fine), but then one day he or she has bet it all and lost it all. You've got nothing left (and no savings either). What's your reaction? Has this ever happened to you?
I haven't been a victim of such circumstances (even as a woman)... You gotta brace up and adjust your spendings to be able to cope with the current adversity...

Gambling and spending illicitly have been a major reason for several divorce cases... It's best for a man to control his habits as that would not only be problematic to him, but his family and reputation as well..."I've heard several stories way-back from the neighborhood" Their wives would openly complain of shouldering the family's responsibility because of the man's carelessness.

211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever done something crazy to bet? on: March 17, 2024, 08:24:31 PM
I remember when I was in middle school, we used to play cards almost every day, and our stupidity reached the point where we would skip classes while we were inside school. The method of playing was easy, as the largest number was the winning card. So, some of my friends and I would gather in the middle school bathroom and make bets with the money that we had collected  from selling cigarettes.
Of course, this is not something I am proud of and I do not recommend it to everyone, but it's just childhood memories .
Practically, every growing child in Africa was once a subject to this kind of fun.. "I remember leaving the school premises entirely with a handful of classmates, cruising in our favorite horizon which was another abandoned school field -- cleanly dressed in our improvised school uniforms with a clean handkerchief evenly strapped to our waistband.. we strictly selected the cleanest sets of students to our crew -- that was also based on recommendation"... I also knew some set of students that'd go ahead to change their wears, just to look like baddies after school.

As one of the EVMs that consumes fees the most, the Ethereum chain has been the focus of this trend, which is still relatively new, but I'm sure other EVMs will follow shortly. Among the websites I have found are these and are most likely to drain your wallet when you connect and try to claim the fee:
So many scammy projects have been sent out in the wild, to --grip in their cold claws -- the inexperienced rookies in crypto.. It becomes even more fascinating to discover new ways to which these cyber criminals would wanna maneuver, even before it catches more gullible people.

My very first post on Bitcointalk was complaining about a captcha. I've come a long way since then, and can solve any captcha to prove how human I am.
well if that's the case, then I'm not gonna ask questions pertaining to this again...like i normally say: I don't care about this... cus why TF Should I? I just wanted to be able to differentiate between an AI poster, a real human and possibly, a bot! If this was alleged against someone else, I'll ask the same questions too...
Y'all have been around for too long to have a couple of grudges with different people of your caliber, or maybe some handful of opportunist who'd end up envying y'all for not being where you at...etc.
I see where the problem is

In general, most people might think that they'll attract alot of traffic to their post by making it too colourful.. i don't know who fed 'em with this lame idea.
LoyceV is a bot. Bots don't do anything manually!
I'm seeing this again for the second time; aside from reading scraps of stories from 2019 about loyce's allegations, I haven't had full confirmations as to whether or not this is true... I've also realized that alot of reputable members are saying the same thing too, so let me get this straight; is Loyce not ready to prove 'em otherwise? Does this practically infer that they've got a thicker skin?..and that they shouldn't respond to vindicate themselves for this reason?
@LoyceV, do you create that colored post manually? I’m always curious on how do you guys do that (if not manually typing and attaching bbcode color).    Undecided
This isn't enough reason to assume Loyce's a bot... They could simply have different aids; one of which may be a merit bot?.. iDK
I don't know why this has been unascertain for years now.

It's an important function on an internet discussion board where most members are incentivized to post and 85% of them don't know how to write coherently.  A certain remaining percentage are composed of spammers and the like.
I don't know exactly what you mean Chymist , but I haven't heard of any other site that places an incentives per post duly made...(aside some meagre earnings on reviews and channel discussions)...

Maybe I should consider to make a thread on "Why was my post deleted"?. I have read some random questions as the above recently in meta by newbies.
Mannn!! I've read too many of these post; logging on BTT to read post like this continuously doesn't feel any refreshing... Maybe a mega thread on the "possible reasons why your thread got deleted" should be made and pinned on the beginners and help section?.. maybe on every local board or something?.

As long as the forum's traffic increased alot since the introduction of signature campaigns, it'll also reduce should there be a sanction or displacement of signatures... It's called -- The principle of displacement; that the ......amount is equal to the volume.....

That alone proves the fact that alot of people are more active in here for that reason...but sometimes, -- they may not totally rely on campaigns but, it's becoming a major part of y'all hodl bag... secondly, spammers and shit posters barely have a slot to occupy in good signature campaigns, so the deal isn't for some ludicrous head.

I always have this kind of mistake before way back when I’m still inexperienced gambler. A simple mistake such as not placing a bet on a round that result to massive win just because my screen glitch makes me tilted that resulted to lose focus and bust all my bankroll quickly due to risky bets.
I have a question for you.... Does this trick really workout?. That y'all be following the procession/ arrangement and strategy of returns for every round that comes by, just to be able to predict the next round?.. personally, I've always thought about it be a practice of fortune.. nothing more, nothing less.

you also made a huge mistake to have deviated a bit from what works for you... I'm happy that you realized it -- even though it was too late already -- but that serves as a lesson for another day.

218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Pattern that 99.9% Leads to Bankruptcy: High Rolling on Slots! on: March 16, 2024, 09:01:21 PM
It all begins with the x100 - x1,000 minimum bet that they usually do. For example, I usually bet $0.1/spin, and then x100 - x1,000 means that I bet $10 - $100/spin. That's stupid! One guy took a loan with his house as collateral for $5,000 only to lose it in a few hours.
what works for one person might not work for another.. This is just a strategy that was procreated by those self-acclaimed gambling professionals; it may have worked 7 out of 10 times they tried, but that isn't enough prove to assume it already as a strategy. I'd say - The guy was fooled and he fell for it, without having a second thought.
Quote
High rolling in slots is quite dumb in my opinion, since the probability of hitting the x100+ multiplier is too low...
People don't understand this fact.; once they see these multipliers from the last round of the game, they'll definitely wanna try with a bigger stake, hoping to have a come back.

You haven't narrated anything real about how they were married, what the condition of their marriage was, where they reside and if they had kids together -- but I'll simply say that on the jurisdiction of the Court, intervention beyond all odds would be made in splitting the winning between them, according to their jurisdiction...

When I first came across this thread, I felt they were married but this is just too people dating and nothing more.
That's a big problem. One of parties could decide to abscond with the said funds (if it's in their custody) and the story will surely become a different one. AGAIN, I don't think there's any legal tiedown over the funds unless they wanna decide to not fuck around .

220  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dont chase your loss on: March 15, 2024, 09:07:47 PM
Gambling with a troubled mind is bad gambling, and chasing losses is not far from that.
There's nothing you can possibly achieve with a troubled/anxious mind... Once you start feeling too much doubt about it happening, then it's never gonna happen.. in gambling, the case is somewhat different as that would not guarantee you having a win, but it does help on prediction purposes.
Quote
Once you've lost enough in gambling to hit enough to affect your gambling decision, the best thing to do at that moment is to avoid the casino at that point in time because all the decisions you make at that moment can only lead you to more losses, which will also put you in a very hard and troubled state.
Nobody ever truly wants to go back to it; it becomes a different case when you're not able to avoid things like -- checking updates, spying on their bankrolls etc.. To avoid drifting back, you need to make abstinence a lifestyle.
