I would like to know does the srilankan cricket board allows their players to participate in other premier leagues? And county cricket? I haven't seen many players from srilanka in county or other premier leagues, they are lacking experience and their young blood is not getting enough exposure, i believe there should be a rule in all premier leagues around the world to include X amount of players from lower ranked teams so they can get experience from these Leagues. What do you think?

You consider Sri Lanka as a lower ranked team? Such concessions are usually available for associate nations and that is good. Afghanistan have benefited from their players playing in these leagues. You can't club Sri Lanka with them.
202  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just about 20 million. Wait and watch it REALLY explode... on: August 15, 2017, 09:18:38 PM
^ At this rate, I won't be surprised if we reach 5K in a week (or even overnight from here) and 10K in a month.

I know it sounds unrealistic, but so does bitcoin going from this years low to 4K so...

It doesn't sound unrealistic at all. The way that this rally has been carrying on, it could easily hit 5k in a matter of hours.
I am sure we will have a pullback after that, but attaining those levels is not unrealistic.
203  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC as a national currency? on: August 15, 2017, 09:15:40 PM
I think Rogue States like Iran, North Korea, Syria, Israel etc. Can use bitcoin for the supporting to paramilitary groups.

(Rogue States for My opinions. It's not related politics. Just my opinion. Respect!)

These countries may receive money from different people in the form of Bitcoin, but it is impractical for them to actually use bitcoin within their countries on any substantial basis. All Bitcoin does in these cases is transfers value.
204  Economy / Speculation / Re: is there any chance to BTC value go down? on: August 14, 2017, 05:17:41 AM
BTC value is increased by nearly $200 daily.

is there any chance to BTC value go down in any period of time?

If that happens how about all these people who hold BTC as an investment?

There definitely is a chance that BTC value would go down. There is no such thing as a sure shot investment. You are taking a risk by buying bitcoins - you can benefit greatly but there is also a chance that the price can collapse.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 14, 2017, 05:04:18 AM
A crucial day in this test match, if Sri Lankans won't hold their wickets then it'll be a huge huge victory for Indian players. West Indies and Sri Lanka are the two teams right now which are going through some serious issues to stay in the ranking sheet. Bangla will definitely take over soon.

Sri Lanka are already 34/3, with Ashwin and Shami getting two wickets quickly. It will be very tough for them to survive the entire day. I predict they will crash quickly to an innings wicket today.
206  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 13, 2017, 11:46:42 AM
Yikes. Just got home from my gig to see new ATHs happening live. Wifi was down at the bar where I was playing so I didn't know what was happenening. OMG  Shocked

Made 100 bucks playing music. Made 100 grand playing Bitcoin.

According to Coinmarketcap each bitcoin and altcashcoin together are worth $5646CAD.

Wow.  Cool

I know the feeling. I remember in 2013 walking into work pumped because I was up 10k over night.

My gf has been visiting me for a few weeks and my wealth has almost doubled since she got here. When I asked her if she wanted to go see a movie she said it was too expensive. I can just watch the movie at home for free.

Yeah, the wealth effect. The crazy rise in bitcoin prices has increased all our net worths.
We are much more comfortable spending now, because of the paper gains we have made.
207  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Capitalism Flawed? on: August 13, 2017, 11:38:28 AM
In a capitalist country with 2 million people, all 2 million have the freedom to start a business, innovate, build better things.

In a socialist country with 2 million, only a small fraction will have the freedom to start a business, innovate, build a better product.

Capitalism although not perfect is a superior system for innovation and advancement. This is why russia and china have been forced to adopt free markets of capitalism over time. Its also the reason why venezuela a country rich in oil has suffered by attempting to nationalize toyota and making constant attacks on the private sector under a pro socialist banner which have reduced standard of living to a dramatic degree.

The thing socialism is best for is keeping people from having electricity and modern plumbing the way socialist north korea forces its people to live in an era before electricity was discovered. Socialism is only good for restricting innovation and progress and keeping people enslaved.

That is not true. You only have the freedom to innovate if you have capital to start up a business.

How to get capital?

1) Well either you are born in a rich family ( which most of us arent)
2) You apply for a business loan from a bank

But here is the catch, the bank requires a collateral. So are you willing to put your house as collateral (if you even have one, usually you have that under a mortgage already), given that 90% of small businesses go bankrupt after 6 months or something like that??

Yep small businesses have a 90% failure rate, and then you not only lose your business but also your house that you put up as collateral.

Brilliant isn't it. Now you are a homeless guy enjoying the wonders of capitalism.

Basic premise - all businesses are capital intensive. Not strictly true. A lot of businesses have been started in a garage, with a good business idea.
You could have a day job and save the capital required to start a business (In the services sector) in a year's time.
208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 13, 2017, 11:34:19 AM
what a clinical performance by Hardik Pandya .. He played an extraordinary innings and placed India in a good position. It's not easy to score century with the tale enders. pandya hits seven sixes in his entire inning which helped him to score quick runs.

Posted From bitcointalk.org Android App

It was an excellent knock from Pandya, but what are Sri Lanka doing here. All out for 135 in almost a session!! India have imposed the follow on and Sri Lanka have to face the Indian bowlers for the second time today. Sri Lanka are so far behind and it is only the second day of the match!!
209  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Already in $4K...Will There Be Corrections? on: August 13, 2017, 07:00:33 AM
I just watched CoinMarketCap.com and I am amazed that finally Bitcoin has already broken the $4K wall and there is a big possibility it might continue on rising. This is already the weekend which is traditionally weak days for Bitcoin but this time it defied expectations.

Now, I am wondering: Would there be some corrections on price right after this elegant movement of our beloved crypto...? Or will it again continue on defying expectation and historical precedents of its own?

I certainly hope it would be the latter though of course we should expect the Bitcoin would also pause for some rest after this breathtaking surge, right?

I think there will be a correction, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Some people will book profits now. Others will keep holding. In any case, there is a shuffle in bitcoin's ownership and more and more people are getting into Bitcoin.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Bitcoin Cash on: August 13, 2017, 06:53:29 AM
Lol it's still i would choose BITCOIN the mother coin of all of them hehehe. Nitcoin Cash is just a fork of BITCOIN maybe there's a time that Bitcoin Cash would blow but BITCOIN still the best of them hehe
bitcoin already touched the new ATH above $4000 that was so crazy, but what already happened with bitcoin cash? nothing happen at least the more people want to buy the real bitcoin. the price of bitcoin is really promising right now.

If you look at it that way, Bitcoin Cash started from zero. Smiley
While Bitcoin has reached $4000, the potential increase in Bitcoin Cash is much more. Bitcoin Cash can double in price easily, and people wouldn't be surprised. If Bitcoin reaches $8000, it would be a great deal.
211  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin price possble to reach $4500 soon? on: August 12, 2017, 06:08:37 AM
Yes it can. But not too soon. We just pumped up to $3500 recently because of the segwit hype. $4500 is possible but it will take months before we reach that price. Also the price depends on the hype. The segwit hype for example. The segwit just locked in and many people think it's a good thing. So they buy bitcoin. Now the hype is over. Let's just wait for latest announcement. My prediction, bitcoin will reach $4500 at the end of the year.

$3500? We have crossed $3700 now. The price is rising so hard that a reversal is inevitable. I am not going to try and pick the peak, but we could very easily cross $4500 by the end of September. We might not stay there, but I definitely think we will get there.
212  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin world currency on: August 06, 2017, 02:48:13 AM
is it possible that we can use bitcoins in buying all commodities not only in one country but the entire wold? and how will this affect the economy.

It is possible but not in the next couple of decades. There is only a very small percentage of bitcoin users as compared to the world's population. It is beginning to be famous but more as an asset or a precious possession rather than a payment stuff like money.

I think we are almost there and we are in the middle of the road before we reach our destination. It's just a few more challenges on bitcoin before it makes it way to it's full objective which is to be used by all countries.

We are almost there?? What can you buy with bitcoins in today's world? Almost nothing.
It is a niche currency used for internet transactions, We have a long way to go before bitcoin starts being considered a world currency.
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 06, 2017, 02:46:24 AM
Sri lanka not looking good at all to take this series. 209/2 in 60 overs isn't a bad score but it's surely not enough, there are times when india has choked up series against other teams but this is surely a one sided game for india. I feel sad for sri lanka, they used to be one of the top teams but now that time is gone and they have started to lose their matches in home also.

Indian players are playing wonderfully and Sri Lanka trailing by 230 runs now. If they manage to score at least 400 more by tomorrow evening then Sri Lanka may get a chance to win this match or they may try to draw this one.

SL is not in a position to win this match but if possible they should only try to draw the test match. But by looking at current situation even drawing test match also not possible. SL need another 230 runs to match India's first innings total and got only 8 wickets. I don't think they even score another 230 runs unless some batsman really plays well. It is going to be a big win for India.

With 2 full days to go, it definitely will be tough for Sri Lanka to draw this match. Mendis has scored a quick century and Karunaratne is closing in one one too. They need a 200+ partnership to try and save this one.
214  Economy / Speculation / Re: What caused the crash in July to make bitcoin reach $1880? Anything specific? on: August 05, 2017, 11:34:52 AM
What caused the crash in July to make bitcoin reach $1880? Anything specific?

Yeah, split fud.

People should stop worrying about fringe lunatics from r/btc and focus on Bitcoin's (BTC) bright future.

It was an opportunity to shake out weak hands and get some cheap coins.  Cheesy
The chaos around the hardfork and segwit activation resulted in some people panicing.
215  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-03] Coinbase Planning to Allow Bitcoin Cash Withdrawals in January 2018 on: August 05, 2017, 11:30:13 AM
They probably think BCH will be worthless by January 2018 and customers will lose interest in withdrawing them. I would still blame users who left their coins on Coinbase, fully knowing the risks involved.
216  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: August 05, 2017, 11:26:47 AM
I do not think that bitcoin will destroy ordinary money, because there must always be an alternative and by 2022 very little time, especially for poor countries, that they start using bitcoin.

Ordinary money needn't be destroyed. People could start using bitcoin along with Fiat money. Even if that happens, Bitcoin's price will shoot to the moon. Plus it will become the currency for international travel.
217  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has reached a record high valuation of $3,000 per coin to complete a rol on: August 05, 2017, 11:25:18 AM
Bitcoin has reached a record high valuation of $3,000 per coin to complete a rollercoaster week that begin with the long-awaited split of the cryptocurrency.

A number of exchanges, including popular destinations Coinbase and Kraken, valued a single bitcoin at over $3,000, an all-time high that is up $485 on the valuation one month ago. Earlier this year, Bitcoin surged in surpass $2,000 for the first time in May going on to almost reach $3,000 in June only for the valuation to crash.

Over the last twelve hours, bitcoin’s value has jumped by over 10 percent as forked currency bitcoin cash has seen its valuation crash by 30 percent. Some exchanges including China’s OkCoin even put the value of one bitcoin above $3,200, at the time of writing.

http://www.abitofnews.com/bitcoin-breaks-3000-to-reach-new-all-time-high/

This rollercoaster isn't new, but it has still got me excited and happy. And to think it came about just after all the negativity surrounding the hard fork and split in the community! People should just hold on to their coins.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 05, 2017, 11:23:51 AM
I'm sure Virat will choose to again bat and put up more 200 runs but it's of no use when the other team cannot even get 250 runs in the first innings. Let them follow and try to get 439 runs and then play again if they manage to get those runs (which I doubt they would). No point of delaying the match result till the last day. The MOM is definitely Ashwin as he took 5 wickets in this innings.

India has not opted to bat instead they have given follow on  to SL and they have started very well. They are now  300 runs behind with 9 wickets in hand. They may put some fighting total if they can bat for another day. Will need to wait and see that will India have to bat in second inning or they will e=win by an inning and some runs.

I am glad that finally Virat took the right decision of a follow-on instead of making the batsmen again make a grand total when the other team are lacking behind by too many runs. Now it's 252 and I too feel they would be able to chase it down and leave 50-100 more runs for the Indian team to make. With 2 more days left, they have enough time to chase it down.

Creditable performance by Sri Lanka in the second innings, although I think they will still lose. If India cannot win with a lead of 450+, then they cannot win at all. Once Kusal Mendis' wicket falls, Sri Lankan wickets might fall in a heap.
219  Economy / Economics / Re: Washington Post Op Ed: Richard Rahn : The innovation destroyers on: August 03, 2017, 01:43:33 AM
Scamsters are making a bee line for ICOs these days. If the SEC's statement makes them think twice before doing an ICO with the intention of running away with your money, that isn't a bad thing after all.
220  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin: A big ride is about to come on: August 03, 2017, 01:41:41 AM
what do you guys think of masterluc/Lucif's prediction that the target price is $40k-$110k?

it seems way too high.. right?  then again.. this bubble didn't feel euphoric at all.. only 2.5x previous ATH.. so who knows..

Did he give a time target to that prediction? I wouldn't feel sad if that prediction did become true.
I can return and lead a life of luxury on my current bitcoin stash. No need to work another day again.
