First i am pretty sure a block has been found Smiley
Current Bitcoin block, difficulty: 323863, 34661425923

Second the BTC price goes up it goes down lately its been all around. Buy low-> sell high

Yes this sucks for mining but just hang onto them and when the price goes back up sell them. Supply and demand.

And yes hopefully with the price down miners will give up and either pull the plug or hop to a different coin thereby causing difficulty to drop, been several recent difficulty hikes caused by all the new miners. Thankyou antminer

Ask yourself are you in it for the money are are you in it because you support Bitcoin?

Its obvious blocks have been found I should of mentioned the specific to slush for this block session ..... (I thought that was understood) many blocks across the network have been found in the last 14+ hours I would guess approx 84 since avg block time since last diff increase is holding strong at 10 min a block avg

So I just need more power.
Aye.  So do I, as I have only a little more than you and sometimes see the same thing.  I'm waiting for the next batch of S3+ to be released, when I might consider investing my accumulated BTC, as I don't seem to be using them for anything else.
I think Blockchain.info is having a ddos attack wallets are acting very funny atm can't get 2fa to come thru hit or miss logging in on smartphone etc

Hey all y'all smarty pants.

Wondering if Anyone has any brilliant predictions or explanations as to why the $/btc is plummeting so insanely quick.   At the rate it going.   It'll be like $340-80 by mid Oct.

It would be nice to have a $/btc rise instead of $/btc plummet and a difficulty skyrocket.

Still making profit.  But all these factors. And the slow blocks, are makingnit a lot harder to make money.

Any ideas why it went to $500 for like 2-3 days, and all of a sudden back to plummeting yet seems to be plumettingba hell of a lot faster.

there was an article i was reading said the surge was by bullish peeps trying to kickstart next increase but in article before we hit 380 they were saying 320-380 should be the bottom if the previous corrections etc since the 1k days in dec then should start its rise again but who knows downward pressure keeps increasing dish network overstock ebay etc
all I know is I bought a cointerra IV 2 weeks ago for 1.15 btc or 550 us know it is only like 420 or so but for me i have already gotten .75 of a btc back so hopefully if diff stays thru next change should roi in 2 weeks

Bitcoin Bank Finally Opens.....

Wow, no more "Back Alley" bitcoin transactions. Online wallets that are insured. No wait time like Coinbase. Credit Cards accepted with no hassles and no fees. Deposit or fund straight from your normal Bank. F2A protection.
It's called Circle. I linked to article, you Google site yourself. Tried it out today, EASY-SAFE-QUICK.

Did you buy or sale coins?  Been looking for a new exchange, that is if that's what this is.

i bought with cc paid a 2.00 processing fee no circle fee so 1 btc cost me 379.00 not bad had to use cc as bank acct has to wait for deposit verification

On another note, you may be in for longer block times - but, we're also in for a mild or non existent difficulty jump.
So, you might get a free week out of this shit.
Can you say this in English please ...!? Pertinently, the mild / non-existent diff jump AND the free week fingybob (never mind the shit).

I'm guessing a 4% jump in difficulty.
Or, maybe a 0% jump in difficulty.
Either way, it will feel good.

A free week means the difficulty jump you prepared for on your spreadsheet isn't going to be there..
So, your miners get a period of time where they'll make more money...  Yea!
yup as of now 10.6 minutes per block if it stays this way a 0% diff jump would be excellent after the brutal last couple of days
217  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: September 29, 2014, 03:24:42 PM
So thats frustrating went invalid even tho we have a 30 sec faster timestamp then BTC guild on block 322930
Timestamp is set by the mining pool when it is generating the work. It doesn't even remotely have to be the actual time, it can be up to 10 minutes ago or 2 hours into the future and will still be accepted as a block.
Thx's ck for explaining I just ASSumed that the timestamp was when it was submitted to the network as completed as the conformations started a little bit
of new information to digest  Embarrassed
218  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: September 29, 2014, 06:06:00 AM
SLUSH is reporting they won 322930 & 322947, but BLOCKCHAIN is reporting that 322930 went to BTC Guild and 322947 went to AntPool.

What's going on?  Huh
Both are showing being reported from US near New York as well ***fingers Crossed**** we need the luck Roll Eyes
322930 should go to us BTC guild showing reporting it like 30 secs later slush shows 14:36:49 BTC guild shows after 14:37
and 322947 appears to go to Ant beating us by 30 secs or so Cry
So thats frustrating went invalid even tho we have a 30 sec faster timestamp then BTC guild on block 322930
