I last had a message from him less than 48 hours ago, and he informed me then that he would be away for a brief time. I'm sure he will be in touch with us privately and will also post something in the forum as soon as he is back on the intert00bz. Btw Alec Kloss hasn't been responding for last 2 days. I think that's because he was off for some gig and party yesterday (accordng to his Twitter). He should be back soon

A lot of stress going around. Coin holders worried about their investment, missing funds and people expecting awards from a contest, authority changing hands, jobs left up in the air when they were halfway finished and people wanting to know what will happen with those jobs. I get it. Everybody gets it.
I'm reasonably confident that most people here have seen me pop my cork and spout off. It happens to all of us. Can we try not to have today be the day that everybody does it all at the same time?
I'm trying to send scans of my ID to LitecoinDark, build and secure the laptop for the wallets, answer PMs, keep notes on everything being asked and everyone who offers to volunteer...

Litecoindark will get to this when he isn't busy with other higher priority things. It's obvious that this is none of your business. Your opinion is irrelevant during this situation and many did like it. As I said there is video proof that well respected Sr. and higher members of this community liked mine the most.

I have been asked to post some things about myself that people can have a look at, to see that I have presence on the internet. I generally keep my private life private. I have family and I have nice things. Posting specific personal info on the internet is now and always has been irreversible and becomes permanent. For a very long time, I have been cautious not to post any information that could possibly lead to my family coming to harm or having any reason to ever become fearful due to any carelessness on my part. I do not intend to set my caution aside. I am pretty sure that there is nothing in the links below that would cause me any regret and expect that most people will be satisfied that I have a 'background' that is almost boring and certainly non-controversial. If and when I am in any position of authority for LTCD, my personal information including my photo ID will be made available to anyone else with proper authority for LTCD with the provision that it never be made available to the public. I need to be sure that no stray freak on the web is never able to become a cause for my family to have any concern for their safety or well-being. I do ask and expect that anyone who does receive my information make it known that the information has been made available and that it is all in order. I hope everyone understands this. Too soon for that poll though. This will be brought up again soon and more discussion will take place. I will be posting the reason behind my suggestion and it will make sense, even to those who may still disagree. Rebuttals will be made by both sides of the issue, then a decision will be called for.

@Bitcoin Operated Boy Not finding fault with your suggestion regarding the current thread. Just want to repost my opinion to contrast yours, in case it has been forgotten in all the recent fuss. I suggest closing the current topic after the change over. Do not delete any of it and keep it for historical purposes. Post a link in the new topic pointing back to the old topic so that it can easily be found and so that it is obvious that we've been busy enough to need TWO TOPICS in under 3 months. Then use the new topic to continue into the future. Your suggestion has just as much merit as mine does. About the forum being closed (locked) down in order to open up the fresh thread.
I have thought about it and I think that keeping this thread open and keeping using it would be better from PR point of view.
We have had hundreds of pages of activity and it looks great and is the prrof of very large and active community. It attracts investors and proves that we are not scamcoin ;-)

I would like to assure you that all of the helpful posts are being read and that I personally am taking notes about the good stuff. The lack of reply is not intended to seem like nobody cares.
We have a bigger issue to get resolved as immediately as possible.
As soon as new leadership is implemented, I will bring attention to the recent helpful posts. Nothing is being overlooked and all of it will be reviewed again - hopefully soon.
It sucks, I know. But it is what it is. Just hang tight for not much longer.

Well said, in all respects. Yes, anyone here so inclined should remember to include TrollbyFire in their prayers. I usually keep silent, as I am not very experienced in crypto and I dont have a lot of the skills needed to add to the everyday discussions.
But if i may, I would like to commend this community for its attitude and posture in moving forward. I am so impressed with BTC operated boy, Ghost, Vic, Alec... (sorry if I missed someone). You could have abandoned the coin long ago and you have stuck with it and in some way I am looking forward to the future of LTCD more so now with you leading the way. I know we can't get the cart before the hoarse, but you all have proven in your own ways that you are positive capable leaders. I thank you for your efforts!!!
I wish I could do more to help, but unfortunately I do not provide the skills necessary to be of much help in crypto. I do hold approx 180k and have held strong from week 1. I will do what I can to support your efforts... even if only encouraging words from time to time!

I am sure we all appreciate your vote of confidence and your moral support. Thank you. The new team looks very good so far. Vicvelcro, Ghost and Bitcoin Boy have all been consistently helpful and appear sensible and honest people who consider other peoples situations well.
Indeed. This would be much more of a problem if he were in opposition - maybe even impossible. So thanks to Litecoindark too. I also like Litecoindark's comment about helping to move forward with the new devs. Can't exactly deal the the Gen 2 problem with everything in disarray. Future Gen 2 still looks viable to me, but the recent shake-up sets that back quite a bit (just my guess). So, it will probably depend on how motivated the new crew is regarding Gen 2 and the productivity of whoever does the coding. Can anyone shed light on how to approach the 2 Gen situation? E.g how will the loss of that be accounted for with the new look? Just ideas for now.

Because of the expediency needed to get SOMETHING in place, I'm thinking that if we can't call a vote in 24 hours - current devs should be asked to SELECT the interim committee. Right now, that would be Robbert, Xircom, and TrollbyFire. TrollbyFire has been absent - which likely leaves it to Robbert and Xircom. Then the interim appointees could still proceed, allowing a larger window of time to get some permanency in place. However, that puts a very heavy load on the interim appointees. |

Well, with Armory, there are several possibilities. I'm thinking a 5 or 7 sig wallet with 3/5 or 4/7 sigs to authorize EACH outbound transfer. So, 5 Signer slots, 2 nominations (you and aleckloss), leaves at least 3 slots still open. Indeed. Way too soon to be throwing accusations of FRAUD around. Please everyone take a deep breath and let this move forward instead of backward and sideways. 1. The premine is missing and APPEARS to have been sold. No proof yet, but strong suspicion. 2. Troll is in absentia and incommunicado, Xircom and Robbert are reportedly resigning - I am waiting for confirmation directly from them. Sorry I'm a bit late to the recent party but to clarify can we safely say that:
1) The pre-mine has all been sold off? (Hence the sell walls for the past month).
2) The devs are all now strangely deciding to disappear soon afterwards?
Or is it something completely unrelated?
"IF" this turns out to be an elaborate scam of some kind, I'm all for following up with some kind of court action over fraud. Not accusing yet, but people aren't doing much to allay suspicions. |
