201  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Common Reporting Standard on: February 19, 2017, 02:46:29 PM
Hey there,

are there any news on OECD's CRS?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1392468.msg16486676#msg16486676

Do you know if it affects (WaveCrest) e-money, especially your debit card?

Thank you for providing this service!

LoveBTC

the latest comments from WaveCrest were as follows:

unfortunately we cannot give you any specific answer at the moment as we ourselves  are waiting for final comment from the Ministry of Finance on whether E-Money companies such as WC would be exempt from reporting. We hope it will happen quite soon and we will be able to clarify it for you as well.
202  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 17, 2017, 05:35:15 PM

I have been writing about this for some time now and as other users stated and showed with their own examples it is usually arround 3-5%. You asked why no one is talking about your great rate for buying bitcoins. That is simply because more people use your platform to sell than to buy bitcoins.

Now when I have answered your question it would be nice that you answer mine as I am also curious as the user above me, what is the percentage you take from bitstamp rate? Or if you use another exchange rate which one is it? If you use multiple, which are those?

I think bitcoin users are the kind of people that like transparency. You are trying to hide your business model while at the same time saying it's definitely not 5%. Meanwhile users here bring out examples from your platform that it really is around 4-5%. You try to discredit people by saying the compare apple and oranges and by the number of their posts here. User above me has a lot of posts so I hope we will see an answer to this question.

what else do you know about our platform that we don't mate? Smiley So easy to shout and blame, not so easy to build something..

Why do you keep talking about bitstamp? We were using them in the very early days, but that was ages ago. What engine we are using now, cannot disclose, it's sensitive information.
203  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 17, 2017, 05:31:36 PM

So how much is it? i don't know, i read the post about 3%-5%. is this right or wrong?
Can you name us the % that is this service working? We not need a hype how you say, i prefer facts Smiley and i thought this user said that from experience...
wait for your reply Smiley

It is wrong - as repeated too many times already.

Historically it's fluctuated from 0.5 to 3%, but never been higher than that. For some reason any brain-fart from someone not very well informed is perceived as the infinite truth here sometimes, whereas statements form the company itself are not perceived as facts...
204  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 17, 2017, 05:28:08 PM

It's simply untrue. Why you do not want to admit you charge ~5%?  Smiley

Just talking about mystic "business model" and try to hide the fact that you charge 5%

because we DON'T. Would show you the formulas and the code, had it not been confidential information. Don't know how else to convince you, how does one convince someone who's refusing to listen?..
205  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 17, 2017, 05:23:49 PM
I wouldn't suggest this service, when it work it works great and smooth. But everytime I need to withdraw my coins for make a purchase I get errors and I have to wait 4 hours or even more to it get fixed.

Here is some error:

Another error I had is that I withdrawn an amount and it was pending for 48 hours until you seen my ticket and fixed it. Also I'd like to say that the support is very slow and sometimes even unhelpful.

Now I'm again waiting to you fix the error for withdrawing the coins, sent tickets but nothing yet.

I'd like to leave a better review, but this is my experience with e-coin for the last 2 months, errors, and bugs, and no solutions. And the worst thing is the bugs are always the same and you still don't fix them.

I hope you can improve this.

as explained in a couple of posts above, the occasional errors are caused by the fact that the major effort is directed at a complete rebuild of the platform. For the same reason, support can take longer than normal to reply due to overload. Both, development and support teams have grown considerably over the last several months, but it is taking some time for people and things to settle.

So, in answer to your question, no, we haven't been great in the last couple of months, but yes, we will improve it. Not just improve, but take to a different level with the new wirexapp.com and the updated app.
206  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 16, 2017, 11:33:24 PM

So how come other bitcoin debit card providers are offering way better exchange rate (closer to bitstamp exchange rate)? Are they making loss or what? I think you are just looking for an excuse for charging 4-5% whiles others charge 1.5%

@eduBTC, @bitatomic, we DO NOT charge 4-5%, full stop. Can't show you all the whole business model inside obviously, but this a fact - we simply don't.

You are grossly overestimating the difference of our sell btc rate from the "market rate" and underestimating "others". It's a competitive market, and everyone is about the same in terms of costs/fees, give or take a penny.

You are certainly free to use any service you like, but please, do not give your assumptions out as facts.
207  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 16, 2017, 09:47:10 PM

As ex-customer I can confirm these guys are charging ~5% or sometimes even more. For that reason I moved to other services long time ago..

What you guys are using other than Wirex/e-coin ?

I tried couple of services and all are better than this.

now tell me you are not getting paid for this post - 1st one ever and simply jumping on the topic...
208  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 16, 2017, 09:45:42 PM

Kraken, Bitstamp, Coinbase and itBit

the rates can be quite different between the exchanges you are mentioning, as well as others. Especially at the times of high volatility (which is effectively NOW and in the last several months).
At any given time, the rate we are getting may be worse than any of the sources you mention, hence the difference.

We are not charging 5% (or more, as some particularly smart and loud voices are stating here).

No one seems to be shouting about the much better than market buy bitcoin rate that we are offering, by the way. Why could that be? Always easier to be negative, isn't it?
209  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 16, 2017, 05:22:30 PM
Hope that it work's and hope that all of the country would accept it,
So we could use our bitcoin even if we are not withdrawing it in fiat.

the list of countries where cards can be issued and sent is here:
https://help.wirexapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/207161779-The-list-of-supported-countries-for-Wirex-debit-card-issuance-and-delivery

As for using your bitcoins (deposits, transfers), you can do that regardless of the country, of course
210  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 16, 2017, 05:20:45 PM

Not yet to try it in aws since i have still aws account.. but just heard in our group before  they are using wirex and it works fine also in youtube just found few tutorial using wirex.. but i dont know if its working right now.. because i heard some who uses this card will be suspended..
I just heard it maybe in our group..

would appreciate if you could post here how it went - curious to know..
211  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 16, 2017, 05:19:18 PM
i keep an eye on this service but as for me, the 3-5% you say for loading is very many to loose one the way. better withdrawal to bank at 0.09€ commission that i have from the exchange ... Smiley of course this have some negatives also but not 3-5% !!!
Go for spectrocoin or xapo, they only charge 1.5-2%

what's with all the hype about 5%?? where is it coming from? someone shouted on the corner, now everybody spreading the rumour?..

ok, now you charge 4% 943.9EUR/982.89EUR = 96% your price is 943.9EUR and market price is 982.89 EUR. So it is just in the middle of 3-5%

where is the "market price" coming from?
212  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 16, 2017, 05:14:19 PM
ecoin is scam,,, Wink

you are creating a lot of noise, that's for sure.
But the core of the problem is that your card was blocked by the bank on suspicion of fraud, so, it's a big question where the scam is.

Have you provided all the documents requested by support to get your account unblocked?
213  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 16, 2017, 05:00:34 PM

Already chated the support but they said that Its a card problem. that is why i change my plan to use other card that acceptable by bing..
Bow its work fine.. do you think wirex also work on amazon aws?

which one are you using for bing then?

Have you tried amazon aws yet? The only way to check is to try..
214  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 16, 2017, 04:54:51 PM
The last period i become very frustrated about the service of Wirex/Ecoin.
When i start using the card in the beginning it was really making my life easier. But at the moment its very very very frustrating!

Few weeks back i lost my card. I paid for express and 2 weeks later still no card.. I provided a alternative delivery adress and it was still shipped to my cardholders adress. After 2 weeks finally got my card.. Had still funds left on the old card, send a support ticket to migrate the funds from the old to the new one.. after 1 week still no response.

I tried to load my card, 200 euro dissapeared.. Again a new support ticket.. No response.
Today i loaded 50 euro and 2250 euro. The 50 euro came and guess what? The 2250 euro totally disappeared!

At the moment 2250+1000+200 "gone".

Its very frustrating because the reason im using bitcoin and a debitcard is to get my hands faster as a regular banktransfer, but now it take much longer. Im really consider to jump to another debitcard. Maybe its a idea to start with phonesupport? Normally im a loyal customer, but the service is really really bad! For the fees we all pay you guys can do better!

can I have your registered e-mail or support ticket number?
215  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 16, 2017, 04:52:43 PM
2 months with no solution

new ticket request (56387) i want help not fraud

kindly help me resolve this

as replied in another thread:

you tried to load your unverified card via PayPal, which is no longer allowed by the bank (has been the case for several months now), which has led to the bank blocking your account - we had nothing to do with it, either with the attempted load (not via our platform, but via 3rd party), nor with the block itself.

We are trying to resolve this with the bank, but they don't have the procedure for refund, the only straightforward way to get the money is to verify the account and the pending amount will be loaded.

We will certainly keep trying, but it is not really correct of you to blame us for your own mistake..
216  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 16, 2017, 04:51:27 PM
Waiting for new unique debit or virtual card here..
That can be work on bing when registering..  i want to use my bitcoin to deposit and use it in bing accounts to run a campaign..
Tested those card from any of the card. like wirex but not working .

have you checked with bing what their requirements and limitations are for supported cards?
they are accepting debit cards and credit card but i do not know exactly they are accepting .. but when i was use other vcc its works fine.. for me..
But wirex is not working. its not acceptable,, getting always error..

we can't tell for each and every service whether it will or will not accept the cards issued by our bank - each service has their own limitations.
maybe bing requires cards directly linked to a personal bank account.
What error are you getting exactly?
217  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 16, 2017, 04:47:17 PM

Their terrible support and bugs that they fail to fix for years is the reason I switched my main use card to other bitcoin card provider(not here to advertise, you have plenty of alternatives, check them out). it's 50/50 if your money won't be stuck in "Pending" for a week only because they can't fix their bugs and support takes a week to answer Smiley

issue with balance resolved, right?

218  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: February 16, 2017, 04:42:36 PM
Couldn't find a live chat on the website so I'm posting my question here about a scenario:
I want to buy something online through the Virtual bitcoin debit card which in total the order is around $2k
My question is how much fee will be applied and how many bitcoin would be needed for $2k.
Is this possible without going to verification process? Just sent a PM.
