^ please explain idea to lower difficulty? What can we do?

To lower difficulty, we only need to get everyone to stop adding hash power as well as turn off a few machines. Simple.

Jeez.  If ur paying anything over like 10-12cent kW/h.  U mine as well shutdown ur miners.   No profit to be made there. Or move them to where it free.   But that's just me.

I'm still profitable at current BTC/USD exchange rate. Not shutting them down.

would you still be profitable if tomorrow the BTC/USD rate dropped to $100 ? like it was only a year ago.
203  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: September 15, 2014, 07:35:25 AM
Yea :p.   I recently bought 2 s1s.   Been brining in a sweet profit bought 2 for $340 CAD.     BOUGHT another 9 s1s with 7 PSUs. 3 miners for 340 cad the rest of the miner are basically on loan.    But will give me about 2.4Th/s.

I pay about .08ckw/h but run em on free electrcitiy as well.

But iv thought about just buying them make money faster

upgrade those to S1 to S3  that's like 3.5 th with a power draw around 3740 watts or so my math might be wrong on  the watts but its close i think the 278 $ or so  per kit is well worth it or use bit coins. Smiley .

Then wait for the S4 next years which more then likely we won't see till next year or in Dec if then . o yea I'm gonna get a L1 as well . I don't just farm one type of coin . imo  if you do you won't get any were .
and my S3 I'l have  should hold me till the S4 comes out, i did think about the spondoolies sp20 home miner but if i wait till the S4 come out I'm sure they will use less power  be faster then the spondoolies sp20 home and cost way less.

also I'm glad it is harder now we get to see the true farmers etc its no longer a easy buck, it should have been that way all long, it more worth it now then it ever was . and at some Point soon hardware will slow down it all ways does. but that's my 2 cs worth which means jack but how i see it .

If i did my math right i have one S3 on order and 4 S1 ones atm  I'll  be at like 2.2 th at normal clocks once i upgrade, if i decide to go out and  buy water cooling ( and the water cooling is not that bad as some say if you know how to i build it  i have built a few for my  videos cards and PC Smiley . for those old S1 boards that another 800 GH added back  which i know I  won't do, may even try to sell off the old S1 boards super cheap .

In Maryland atm we only pay 0.09 cents per kw/h which won't be going up for at least two more years were locked in to  that plan and may get  solar panels on top of that .  most of us in Maryland don't pay any more then 10 cents per Kw/h up to around 13 C.  some even pay less in my area. is not just  Washington state etc. from what Ive seen most of the US has really cheap Power compared to over seas .

WTF?

206  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: September 12, 2014, 07:47:32 AM
I heard recently Slush pool hashrate jumped from 6 PH/s to 9 PH/s, maybe this is your answer.
Too damn right! And they had a period about 7 hours back (just before that massive jump) when my rigs were not registering any shares. I had them pointing at slush and treble-checked that they were hashing, but nothing showed up on the pool!

front end has little to do with backend
Did not change the fact that payout kept diminishing .... anyway, while investigating the probable cause, I switched my rigs to  a P2Pool node then after a while noticed the jump in their hash-rate, I think I'll stay away from slush for a while unless their luck improves substantially due to the increased hashing.

what you saw on front end (read post you replied to)

seems those new spoon dollies have way better GH/s to W ratio

yes. that too. although I wouldn't call it a punishment. I've been mining there for over three years and have overall better than 100% CDF payout to date.
210  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: September 12, 2014, 07:24:45 AM
Would anyone be able to explain something for me.

I upgraded to 4.6 today I believe, I am unsure how to check it worked, as in the units GUI it still shows 3.12 or something.
I also installed the M's Ant Monitor.
After doing both the R-Box on my laptop that I installed M's Ant Monitor, and my Ant S3 both were hashing, but not for me. They showed 0 Gh on Slush for past 5 + hours, then I re-entered my pool settings and applied and they started hashing for me again. My Norton sees the M's Ant Miner as a virus.
But after all that, my speeds are OK average as usual, but last few blocks since they have been running again, my earnings per block have dropped substantially from about 0.002 to about 0.0015 that's a 25% drop off in earnings per block.
Any Idea what has caused this?
Can someone give me specifics on how to revert to undo the changes? I am very unskilled at changes and needed to find the right post to understand or at least copy how to upgrade. So I would need some pretty specific info to revert back as well.

Thanks for your time in advance. This dropoff is a game killer for me to have that much less earnings.

maybe your pools' hashrate increased, thereby dropping your expected share proportionately .

Just FYI, Buytrezor.com now offers TREZORs in three colors: white, grey and black...

sweet! just ordered a black one.

Don't really have the time. As long as I can still use it, I'm good.
215  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: September 10, 2014, 05:49:52 AM
Yea into it all does.   Its just a pain in the ass.   Pay for these services to get nothing out of it.   Mine somewhere else and ALWAYS make it back.   Slushs pool you Always make back yourbprofit but sometimes I find you can have like 10hrs of mining.  And than stop mining and receive no payout at all.

I blame the block rate.     This week iv noticed  the largest slowden in getting a block and btc payout has been crap.

Oh well can't really say much or do much.  Just sucks that iv never had this issue before up until this week.   Sucks quite a lot.

in your long career of mining, this is the first time this happened???
216  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: September 10, 2014, 05:34:54 AM
Mr. Slush, please lower the minimum threshold to withdraw buttcoins from account.

.01 is not low enough!~!

It should be @ .001 !
The pumpkin spice latte threshold is too high, and you want one that corresponds more with your planned purchase of two gummy candies at 7-11?

I needs my forty cents!

web wallet seems to be having issues, when I click add account --> error! Child node derivation failed

Works for me. Please reach our support.

seems to be only related to IE11 since latest updates, works fine with FireFox.

219  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: September 09, 2014, 04:48:43 AM

So I made a small investment and purchased 200ghs on UMISOO.  Currently my average payout is roughly 0.004btc a day with a 0.0014 per day fee, which gives me roughly 0.0026btc per day profit.  That gives me a ROI of roughly 3.5-4 months.  Now that is not awesome however CEX with it's 55-105% fees has a much worse ROI if any at all.  Also as mentioned once trade begins I strongly believe ghs will start matching the price of other cloud sites and go up to anywhere from 0.0022-0.0038, at which point ROI will be obtained any time I cash out.
On the other original topic I submitted for the free 1ghs and received it about 8 hours later, as did my friend.

V/R,
Reven79

does that mean with increasing difficulty that payout per day will decrease as per day fee stays the same? how long till you end up owing instead of being owed?

Stick & Slush: Any chance the price will come down soon?  Smiley
I think they are probably selling enough at this price.  If so why would they drop the price?  Of course I don't know their current actual sales volume so I could be wrong.

For sure you will have to wait for a drop in sales volume before there will be a drop in price.

Also, for everything it does for me I think it is well worth the money and would have even paid more.  So there is that.

Finally, I hope they keep the price as high at they possibly can in order to create a great company with a great R&D department so they can put out even more great products.

Truer words are hard to find.

for what you get, I feel it's underpriced.
