Ethereum has seen a huge rise in its adoption as the platform new startups use in implementing their projects.
However, there are other platforms such as Waves that can do the same things Ethereum does ( even easily as Waves does not require any programming skills). Why can't new startups use the Ethereum alternatives? Is there any uniqueness in Ethereum that other platforms don't have? What makes Ethereum the in-thing?
perhaps the etherium-owned smartcontract network that makes Etherium special. maybe friends here can explain in more detail. |

I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.
What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?
I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.
If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.
I think Bitcoin and altcoin will continue side by side. but there are some altcoins that are excluded due to some problems such as the absence of a dev responsible or no enthusiasts for the altcoin. |

you can trade altcoin in various markets like Bittrex, Cryptopia, Binance, etc. many exchanges are trading altcoin-Bitcoin. but the best is the one I mentioned earlier. |

So I see a lot of price discrepancies as I look at coins. I was wondering if arbitrage is effective and what coins to look for that offer the best results. For example, I bought a bunch of BTG for $74 and then later sold it when it hit bittrex for more than $300. Also, is this even legal?
yes it is legal and allowed. many traders are taking advantage of arbitrage. but some coins usually have problems when making deposite or withdraw between exchange. |

For altcoin trading, Bittrex & binance are going good. For early buying Eth based tokens, EtherDelta is good.
I agree with you but Etherdelta I think is less efficient. still need some improvements and additional features. etherdelta is also not fully decentralized. |
