201  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Wow! KnC Neptunes are insanely cheap on Ebay! on: November 23, 2015, 04:36:21 PM
The only miners I trust are antminers. I wouldn't even bother looking at any knc products on eBay..  Why don't you get an S5?
202  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: November 23, 2015, 03:30:01 PM
I don't see how you can live off bitcoin only.  For the time being having a bank account is kind of necessary.
For example, where I work you have to have your paycheck deposited directly into a bank account.
Maybe in the future, employers will offer us to get paid in bitcoin, whether it be the full amount or just a certain percentage, to our discretion.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I keep getting "stratum from pool 0 requested work restart"? on: November 23, 2015, 12:44:52 AM
Why are you using a very old version of cgminer?
And gpu mining is pretty useless..  I'd suggest getting an Asic miner.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know your own Bitcoin address? on: November 22, 2015, 11:43:44 PM
for safety reasons i prefer to use many bitcoin address' so i don't simply rely on 1 bitcoin address.
i remember back in the days when we use to have to remember so many telephone numbers... now i can't even remember my own brother's number because it's stored on our phones.. a little off topic but whatever lol
god damn technology!
205  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: In 2015, faucets are bad for bitcoin on: November 22, 2015, 11:35:39 PM
i started getting into bitcoins thanks to faucets. When i started searching about how to get bitcoin, the first thing i learned was to start with faucets. I am now mining and also buying small amounts of bitcoins.
206  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Anyone still Running A1 miners? on: November 22, 2015, 10:36:02 PM
How many Watts/GHS did they use?

coincraft A1
they are made by a company that went bankrupt. 1th/s   1000W  28nm asic chip
you are better off with an S5.
207  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Looking to start Mining on: November 22, 2015, 09:48:27 PM
well since you will be mining from an office, and if you have the money,i would suggest an antminer s5. For Home use the S5 has very loud fans, but since it will be in an office, then go for it! As far as the PSU goes,i would recommend you not to go to cheap and buy one with an 80+ gold rating. make Sure it comes with enough 6 pin pcie connectors.
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: November 22, 2015, 09:20:32 PM
i am hoping that someday 1 BTC will be worth in the 5 digits. if i want to spend currency i simply use FIAT. BTC is an investment in my case.
209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: November 22, 2015, 05:08:24 PM
You have to gamble intelligently.. It's very important to know when to stop.  Sometimes you are winning and you get greedy and think you might win more so you keep on playing and lose the profit that you gained.  It's all about self control and not being a compulsive gambler.
210  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin debit cards? on: November 22, 2015, 02:51:20 AM
Isn't a debit card and a credit card different regardless if the credit card is pre-paid?
I'd be enticed to answer that technically there is no bitcoin debit card but that there are bitcoin credit cards.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.   :-)
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you play loteries ,did you won something on: November 22, 2015, 02:03:17 AM
All I've won on lotteries is free tickets so far..  I need to win a few millions so I can retire early lol
212  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S8 ? on: November 22, 2015, 12:17:35 AM
S7 is the "@home" miner, asic makers only want to sell to large company's now and they basically don't give a shit about the hobbyist.  So we have to be happy that at least we still have bitmain to buy from, otherwise we would be out of the game.  But I agree a true light version of the S7 would be amazeballs, like a 2 th unit that uses 500 watts or so and then we could use all our old PSUs that are collecting dust.

for  now the best home use from bitmain is the S3 IMHO,and the reason why I say that is because it does not run loud compared to the s5 and s7. I know we can change the fans on the latters but still :-p
I do look forward to the new products that they will eventually come out with hehe
213  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How much would you trust trezor? on: November 21, 2015, 09:40:28 PM
i've been doing some research on that hardware wallet and the reviews and trust seems to be pretty good towards that product.
if ever i do get a good amount of BTC,i do plan on buying one. But long term, possibly something better might come out?
General consensus seems to be that the best way to completely feel safe with bitcoin is with a paper wallet though.

215  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S8 ? on: November 21, 2015, 06:34:02 PM
they should think of the little guys like us who mine at home and can't afford those expensive S7's !
they should make an S7 home edition.which has fans that are really quiet and doesn't consume alot of wattage that hashes around 1.5/2 Ths and is affordable :-P
216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: November 21, 2015, 06:20:31 PM
well i suppose a ponzi scheme is good if the ponzi is just begginning and you are close to the top of the pyramid, since you might get paid.
how do i get into these signature campains?
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a waste of time mentioning Bitcoin to friends and family? on: November 20, 2015, 07:04:55 PM
I mentioned to my colleagues at work about how I am trying to earn BTC through different ways and most didn't know what it was, and the others who did where babbling uninformed speculations about bitcoin and all the rest who were clueless about Bitcoin just agreed to be part of the mass sheeple to feel accepted lol
218  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: where can i buy a Bitcoin miner on: November 20, 2015, 06:49:35 PM
Living in Canada so I bought an antminer S3 from  http://bitcoinware.net/  the price was lower when I bought it 6 months ago and I had also sent him a private message and he lowered the price for me. Never had a problem with the antminer. 3 weeks ago I bought an antminer s1 and he took 10% off the price.  Running great also! Also bought a antminer u3 for 40 US$ on eBay.  All 3 items where free shipping.  They all run great with very low HW error rate.
Oh and this is my first post so hello to everyone!
